Needs blink, is predictable. Next question.

I see Ymir as more of a peeler than an initiator.

I agree with TT. Ymir needs Blink to initiate properly, and with his Wall and Stuns, he can pretty much peel for his carry.

But, needing Blink doesn't make him any less of an initiator. Initiation is the act of disrupting the enemy so your teammates can do their job and win the fight. It has nothing to do with how that's accomplished. Even some assassins could be considered initiators.

but Nami and Zyra from League are poke supports, and Sona is a hybrid sustain/poke.

Agree with the post in general minus this. Nami is the closest to Sona when it comes to being a hybrid from any other support in LoL. She heals and pokes better than Taric and Soraka. :P

This is about duo lane supports in Conquest, who don't get blink.

Second, No, it is certainly about how it's accomplished. Fenrir wolfing out and forcing an enemy to beads is not initiation. That's food prep. That's easy to see and has a limited effect.

Ymir walking forward and putting a wall behind someone before freezing 1-2 people is not initiation, because it gives the enemy time to regroup and withdraw.

Bacchus leaping in through a wall and ulting IS initiation, since it debilitates the whole team, doesn't give any consequence to himself, doesn't reduce the team's damage or other resources, and most of all, it is not predictable and happens near-instantly.

There is a world of difference between engagers and pick-off-ers. That's why I put them as separate categories.

Wouldn't Sobek also be able to disengage with Charge Prey? Just wondering.
