When I started in January, Ao was simply a passive pusher who almost never hit his ultimate and it took forever to cast spells nd if you missed your tornadoes you were screwed because of the massive delay.
He took a lot of skill and timing to pull off, and to be honest he was a bit underpowered. But over time, things started changing. They buffed the ult so it has less of a delay. Then they buffed his slow on his 1 and the enemy can barely move when hit by it. Then they reduced the deploy time on his ult AGAIN. And then now they even eliminated the delay problem. So now Ao Kuang can equip a polynomicom, roam the jungle and bring his 700 autoattack damage pain onto enemies. He went from an easy target to a stalking burst terror in the past year or so. I'm rather concerened with his power as a jungler and mid right now. What do you guys think?

The DoT effect on his tornadoes are cray cray and could stand a nerf imho.

No. Ao Kuang is extremely fine for now, and balanced. Gods that needs nerfs are Agni and Zeus.

Literally all he has are his tornadoes and ult for consistent damage, though. If you nerfed either of them, you'd be crippling him into the point of uselessness. He still requires skill and good timing to be able to play well, nothing wrong or underpowered or overpowered about that. He's still incredibly vulnerable when in melee or faced with fast-moving enemies. Not a lot has changed.

He is overpowered now... but He Bo, Agni and Zeus are more overpowered, so it's not really noticeable.

Agni is still the top mid, but Ao is a fine pick. With the current state of mages, that should tell you all you need to know.

The only thing I feel that needs to be nerfed is his Tornadoes. Now I don't mean make them useless, just a bit less damaging, as of now with one Tornado mid-late game he takes anything that isn't a tank to at least half-health.

The only thing that pissed me of was when they made his Tornado's have less delay.

Seriously that is kind of crazy. It used to be Ao drops a tornado and you have a chance to get out of it if you are fast enough before it does loads of damage, now it just gets placed down so quick that sometimes you can't even tell it has been placed down before you can react to it.

Whats more annoying is since the tornado is clear it sometimes harder to see when he places it down so fast. I kind of liked how is tornado was before but whatever I can deal with it.

I think his most recent buffs were unnecessary, but I think he's still fine. It's not that hard avoiding his attacks and taking him down. He can definitely be a real pain in the ***, though.

I think he has been buffed to much. They gave his 1 a 50% slow to help him escape. Probleme no one uses it for escape but for setting up tornado's and dargon's and who can blame them, it's super effective against every mage exept agni.

never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.
