I have a friend, who mainly plays LoL, and he is just unbelievable. He doesn't communicate with his team, he constantly thinks that K:D is everything, he blames everything - other players, luck, game design, glitches. The worst part is, no matter what I do to convince him, he still thinks he's in the right. Typical toxic LoL player, right? Problem is, he's also in SMITE.

One example is a recent match where his team pressured him into being mid in a random conquest match. He picked Isis, despite never having played her before. I warned him to not let his team pressure him into playing a role he sucked at, or at least to pick a god who he had at least some experience him. Needless to say, he didn't.

He fed the enemy Poseidon, didn't farm properly and was forced to respawn, kept using the wrong ability at the wrong time, and ended up being underleveled and feeding the enemy mid. If you assumed that the match was a complete wreck, you'd be absolutely correct.

Whenever I try to tell him what he's doing wrong, he just ignores me or nods along while not ever changing. I don't think I could ever convince him; he's still a whiny ***** who rages after he does something completely stupid, and worst of all, he keeps saying it wasn't his fault, "it was that stupid triple gank. Triple gank!" or "How is that guy two levels higher than me?" or "*incoherent screaming here*".

Gah. Can anyone direct me to some kind of video or tutorial or something that would convince him that he's incorrect? I'm seriously considering smashing my head through a wall.

How old... is your friend? o.O

Ether his 10 or he just likes to play games without even knowing how to play them at all.

try talking to him when he is not pissed of and not in a match. only calls the toxic out.

maybe record a match he plays and show him a video with a toxic player and compare it to the video you made of him and what he said in chat.

cuddos to you if you can make him less toxic because you may be the first person to ever do that.
never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

Just seems like he doesn't play to learn to me. If doesn't want to improve there is not really much you can do...

Tell him to watch some streams etc.

If he just started then it's fine. Just like me I learned as I played and it's been a month for me and I've now gotten the hang of most gods and how to play each of them.

This sounds like a good idea. And assuming that he is more into LoL than SMITE maybe make a comparison video to how he acts in SMITE compared to how he acts in LoL?

Also try forcing him to watch some SMITE videos, videos from people like Drybear or LostScarf, people who are: good, informative, and funny.

I'd rather just 2v2 against him. Idk. I feel like that's a good idea on how to teach him how to play right.
