So with how often it's complained by newer members, there's no adequate introduction to Smite. It's assumed people know what a MOBA is going into the game, and the practice matches help you see what you can do, but as far as gameplay, and what's generally understood to be, is concerned, nothing is really laid out.

For example, how would people know the meta without playing? How would they even know what a meta is?

The short answer, is they can't, and I want to make one of those general strategy guides to combat this problem, but I need help.

This is easily going to be my most in-depth guide ever, and the most in depth on the entire site, without exaggerating. It'll include god picks, item picks, what stats do, what each item does, the meta, how controls work; basically, it'll include literally everything you need to know about the game.

So I need help from the forum. I can't think of everything: help me make a list of every aspect of the game that needs to be reviewed. I'll start it off very simply:

What is a MOBA?
What is SMITE compared to other MOBAs?
What gametypes does SMITE have?
What is a 'Meta'? What is THE Meta?
>Gods
_>What are 'Roles'?
__>Roles versus Classes
_>How can you tell what role a god fills?
>Items
>Active Abilities
>General Rule of thumb for Skills
>Stats
_>How scaling works on stats (such as MP contribution to auto attacks, etc)
>Jungle Routes/Respawns
_>Guide to Jungling and Ganking
>What's important in a God
>How Team Synergy Works
_>Team Comps (Kitecomp, AoE Comp, etc)
>What makes a god Overpowered, Underpowered, or On Par
>VERY GENERALIZED consensus on tier list (I'm going to keep this as unopinionated as possible)
>Generalized item builds for various roles
>Tips and Tricks
>Strategies
>**Attitude**
_>Toxicity
__>Common Tips to deal with Toxic Players
>Wards
>Roaming out of your lane
That's as far as I get, I Need suggestions, and much collaboration!

Added Due To Suggestions
What roles counter which roles
What 'pubstompers' to look out for
Common picks at levels of play (Separated into Low Level, Regular, and Competitive play)
How Ranked Works
Roles versus Classes
What's a Ping?

well, I'mma be gone most of this weekend, but I'd add in which gods to watch out for at what levels of play, and maybe a section on what roles tend to counter other roles? Like, I tend to find that Bruisers counter assasins who counter tanks who counter ADCs who counter mages who counter bruisers, although there is obviously some variation. but, people should really be notified of the problems with playing low-level against the Curb-Stompers (Anu, Freya and Loki especially)

This is gonna be good i can tell...
'Tips and Tricks' and 'Strategies' is kind of open-ended. I assume you mean things like certain outplaying strategies, good warding locations, stuff like that? A Comps section would be a good idea (kite, hard engage, CC, etc). And of course the elusive guide to the ranked system. Possibly a more in depth guide to jungling, but that might be included in the roles segment...
PENTAS: Loki
Quadras: Cupid, Artemis, Loki, Ah Muzen Cab

There should be both "roles" and "class"

Looking forward to seeing how this comes along. Been playing Smite for a few months now, but I'm willing to bet I can pick up a few tips and tricks from something like this that I didn't know about.
Comic Series Currently Reading:
  • Wonder Woman Vol 2
  • Green Lantern Vol 2
  • Infinity Gauntlet

I would mention by/on the tiers section that they are not set in stone.

Because I still don't understand why people place Artemis low on tier lists/want re-works.(Although I will admit, this may come down to personal skill)
