Everyone seems to be stating that people can/can't be changed, but the people who are advocating for action against toxic players....aren't providing a game plan or an actual resolution outside "let's do stuff and get hirez to do stuff hurhur"

as I said before (Which seemed to be ignored) I don't know if there's a WAY to make people less toxic outside of a case-by-case basis. It's just about taking each toxic player and hoping you can help them be less toxic, and do that each time.

right I agree with this, each time we are forced to encounter a toxic player report and move on and resist the urge to feed the troll mute him and get on with the game.

And when I say report I really do mean only report if they really deserve to be punished, for a while Leagues report system was so full of innocent players who's only sin was playing slightly worse then the enemy team this resulted in a lot of cases not being judged correctly. So we need to keep the report system clean least it ends up like the little boy who cried wolf.

I'm convinced that there is no one to blame for the toxic part of the Community. It's not because people lose games and are mad because of it. The reason why MOBA's have toxic players is because they are all Children. Well.. This game was made for Children but if Hi Rez would put a minimum age there would be less toxic players. Everyone have to learn that bad treatment lead to madness. Some people can't handle bad games and for that reason they treat each other this way. All in all I think that a minimum age would reduce the number of toxic players.

I wish it worked that way, but it dosn't CoD is rated M for mature yet most of it's player base happen to be 9 year olds swearing in attempt to sound cool, oh God I fear for the future.

So there is no real way to keep the kids out of these game I remember back in my WoW days, doing raids and getting wiped because half way though a fight, a kids mom unplugged his computer because it was his bed time. Lets just say I had an awesome guild who never took him on anymore raids after that, no matter how much he apologized for it. If you have a bed time don't queue there is never a short game.

And yes kids are the future of gaming, and gaming will one day be tailored to their tastes when we get older, which is why WoW sucks so hard anymore they had to dumb it down, and change the talent system and simplify everything, because little Johnny doesn't have the time to learn how to play properly, also people who have a life needed to have it toned down a little, because you can't really work 40 hours a week and still be on top of WoW, but the game is not what it use to be back in BC or Lich King.

Well. CoD is rated M for mature not reasonless. Its called that CoD games are too brutal for our sweet 9 years old gaming gen. I've a new Idea. They should make an IQ test and after that allow to registrate for the game. :3

1. Streamers also blame/rage/BM/act like douchebag, it happens even to Bart. Some of them simply give bad example and they dont receive any punishment. Solution - make streamers pay for they sins or at least make them apologize for it.

2. HiRez doesnt like to punish people for harassement. Especially in league. League playerbase is pretty low so I usually play with people I've met before so it's usually easy for me to say if someone got banne for his/her yesterdays BM or not. The truth is that if someone plays bad in league you can BM/rage/blame him/her down to the ground without any consequences. Solution - start paying more attention to punishing toxic players. In league it's very easy because most people are not scared of 24 hours ban but many players would fear losing some league points.

3. Too little players react when they see their teammate getting BM'd. Solution - if you see some rage in your team react. Defend the poor mate who's having bad game and bad experience. Offer friendly advice later and assure him/her that being bad is not something that you should be ashamed of.

4. From what I remember MLCOM3GA (currently Omegatron) had his account permabanned for harrasment. Still he was allowed to play in official tournaments with his new account. GG HiRez.

I'm not trying to say that HiRez or streamers are to blame for every toxic freak in Smite. I simply believe that they can do more to deal with toxicity by giving good example of how you should act in game (streamers) and putting a little bit more interest in punishing for harrasement (HiRez).

Whenever I play, I'm the person who tries to be friends with everybody and lighten the mood to avoid toxicity. Even if someone is being an ***hat, I still try to be nice.
I think that how people act in-game is also somewhat determined by what goes down in the pre-game God selection lobby.
Usually, I just try to make sure everyone has a good time right off the bat, and then we end up having fun through the whole game. That's how I got my awesome clan, by basically just trying to give everyone a good time.

I've made a bunch of friends in smite doing that, but there are still d-heads that abuse. Even I get a bit annoyed with team-mates, but I never show it in game. I think that no matter what you will have people that abuse, in any game, but to get the best player base, those people that get annoyed or angry, can't vent it at others.

Im mostly casual, but I still try to win. But ether way all I care is just having fun. Cant always have luck. Sometimes you have bad games and die alot, but those games sometimes your team will blame you for feeding even though just bad luck and your not doing it on purpose and your not being stupid ether just enemy outsmarted you and just having bad luck running away.

this all the way, bad games happen and the one thing I hate most about the community are people who flame and report over bad games. They happen, and they always will happen.

bad games should never merit a report or flaming raging team-mates who don't understand the concept of why their team-mates are losing. However making a game bad on purpose should always receive a swift report.
