Just throwing an idea for the mystical mark and Telkhines Ring - we could make them deal 40 + 1 * your level damage. That way they won't fall off drastically late game.

So we're talking about those, then?

Well, personally, I always felt that Mystical Mark and Telkhines Ring both have the problems of being too strong early game, and falling off late game.

Now, I don't want to change fundamentally how the items work, so any changes should be a simple assortment of values. So here's the thing:

40 at level 7-8, where most gods finish the item, is too strong.

40 at level 20 is too weak.

How does 30 + level sound?

Sounds good to me. Although I didn't really feel that they were that good in the early game, as I mostly put them on guan who is an only-melee ranged god, they didn't seem to do so much. But it sound good and I think it'll be better.

Also, I would just like to clarify something; it does magical damage. So only magical protection affects it, doesn't it?

Yeah, it deals magical damage. And is affected by magical penetration, I believe.

Are we done here? Since no one volunteered the next topic, I'd say let's move on to:

The Gauntlet of Thebes. DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!

+150/300/450 health
+3/6/9 Hp5

Cost: 740/1700/2350

Passive: You gain a stack for each kill. You gain 8 health per stack, up to 50 stacks.

I think that whatever we change, this item should still first and foremost be a health item.

There are a few things wrong with this item.

First, it is quite clearly meant for tanks, as it provides nothing but health and some HP5. Contradicted to this, it requires minion kills for stacks. How is a tank suppose to get 100 minion kills?

The second is that it's useless. Even when fully stacked, it provides 950 health and 9 hp5. Generally speaking, you can fare better with items like Ethereal Staff that grant you both lots of health and magical power according to your health and also, warlock's sash just outclasses it in every term. I mean, what's 300 health and 9 hp5, compared to 110 magical pwoer and 400 mana?

There are a couple of possible reasons. I'm not saying they are good or viable but they are possible.

1) Make it grant something according to the amount of health. That way it'll have much more utility. The problem is that we already have an item that awards you with 'X' stat according to health, i.e Ethereal Staff. So if you want to make it's passive grant, for example, protections equal to 1% of your maximum health you can couple this item with Ethereal Staff and create a combo that would grant to much utility and flexibility.

Example
150/300/450 Health
3/6/9 HP5

Passive: You gain cooldown reduction equal to 1% of your health (does not stack with resolve or other CCR bla bla bla etc...)

2) I don't know the exact numbers of HP5, but guessing from its name, it's the amount of health you gain passively every 5 seconds. Correct me if I'm wrong but at the maximum cap of HP5 you get 100 HP5, meaning you heal 100 health every 5 seconds passively. We could strive for that stat, although there is already an item the resembles that, being shield of regrowth.

Example
150/300/450 health
6/12/18 HP5

Passive: For every % of your missing health you gain 1 HP5.

3) Another idea the I just threw out of the back of my head, make its passive, either a standalone effect or with another effect, make enemies not be able to lifesteal you at all.

4) Add another valuable stat the increases your durability and/or survivability, and change how stacks are gained.

Example
150/300/450 Health
3/6/9 HP5

Passive: For every kill or assist you get, you permanently gain 35 health and 1% damage mitigation. Max 10 stacks.

These are just my general ideas that spring to mind. You might not agree with them. With some I don't myself. Just tell me what you think.

I agree with the utility-increasing. I also agree with your assessment of the item - good work.

I'm not sure if adding Hp5 is ideal, it's pretty much a throwaway stat.

No lifesteal is also a bit...bleh. It feels too much like Hard as Rock, an effect with no counterplay. As for the 10% damage mitigation, that is a bit overpowered; Bacchus will be unkillable with a permanent 24% damage mitigation.

I do like the idea of a passive that scales on health. I have a few ideas:

- 1.5% of your maximum health is converted into protections.

- You regenerate 2% of your maximum health over five seconds.

For the above, the amount of health granted should be buffed, perhaps to 800 or 900. Otherwise:

- For every kill or assist you get, you gain 70 health permanently, max 10 stacks. (max 1150 health)

Regenerating 2% of your missing health over 5 seconds is already in Stone of Gaia :P.

And I do feel that it shouldn't be an exclusive health item (and HP5 but seriously who gives a ****). Even 1150 health... I dunno. I would rather have the protections. And we can just make the damage mitigation .5% per stack, making it a maximum of 5% fully stacked. Just not pure health. But I think we are done with the horror called Gauntlet of Thebes.

Next...?
Magical Protection items or Eye of Providence? And after those I think we're pretty much done...

I think we should let others give their input first. Can you ask people tot ake a look at this?

Gauntlet of Thebes should be an all health item, no doubt. Personally, I really think it should just offer a **** ton of health and HP5 as well as some unique passive.

Just some ideas for a unique passive...

-Your maximum health is increased by X%.
-You gain health equal to X% of your maximum mana (Or vice versa, we'll need to add mana to this item for this passive)
-When you die, you respawn with X health and X mana, X Cooldown. (Basically, a Guardian Angel)
