Well more to the point, it needs CC immunity during the dash. Annoying as hell to be pulled out of my ult by a Poseidan whirlpool due to its cripple or a well timed bacchus belch stun. I don't mind taking damage if I end up running through an attack but having my ult dash cut short by CC is just wrong.

Yeah i agree. The dash it's self is too fast too to beable to like counter an ares ult but it just needs so be able to not stop halfway in if you dash during the delay of a loki ult. He either comes with me to the end or only gets his ult damage.

So far I've been stopped by almost every stun, root, or cripple in the game. Even a tier 3 hand of the gods stun.

Personally I don't mind taking damage if I run through it, I just hate how my Ult immediately ends if I get CC'ed during the dash.

I can understand being stopped by certain abilities. IE Ymirs wall. Odins wall of spears. Thors fissure wall. A very lucky Anhur's pillar. But to just end an Ult like that is lame. Heck, most long duration Ults have CC immunity on them. Why not Mercury's?

I wouldn't exactly call mercs ult "long duration".

but yeah, being stopped by stuns is still silly.

Wait you travel at almost literally Blink speed, how have you been stopped by hand of the god stun? I completely understand things like Whirlpool which last a finite amount of time and stop upon any contact, but an instantaneous firing CC is nigh impossible to come into contact with. That's just well played on their part if you somehow wander into that.

Anyway, I find his ult fine where it is. It's a free, near guaranteed escape, a great initiate due to the ridiculously odd mechanic, or an initiate that places you on the other side, and far away from, the enemy team, where they can't chase you or risk exposing their backs completely to your team after being damaged heavily already.

But then again, I just find Mercury to already be a very good god that's VERY hard to counterplay. Since he builds with speed in mind, has a directional toss (better than sobeks), has naturally high auto attack damage (He's the melee, escape-y-er version of Artemis, the heaviest late game carry), and an extremely safe poke, he's already very high tier. He's just, simply, VERY hard to outplay mechanics wise, and as such, the potential for outplay (That is, to place a preventive whirlpool), should be implemeneted, even if possibly toned down somehow.

Raventhor, that's kinda funny, because as Artemis, I haven't met a Mercury who could beat me.

I do find that that once you dodge his dash, he has very few options. The primary strength of Mercury is his Special Delivery, and when he launches you to a teammate, a tower, or a wall you're pretty much doomed. If you can dodge, that, all he has is a poke and a self buff, and any ranged carry will be able to smash him to bits.

And as for his ult, it needs no buff. If you get stunned, then you must've hit a corner of a wall or something. (Seriously, lowest graphics + mercury's ult = ****ing annoying corners.)

Besides, the ability to make sure that the enemy can never run away is scary enough.

(Artemis' traps + Mercury zigzagging everywhere = fun)

No. This kept on happening in Arena. No corners or pillars in site. The only thing that would stop me was the arena wall.

Okay, then I doubt it's the player's reaction time. The ult really is instant.

Therefore, the only other possible options are:

A. A game bug or glitch

B. Hacking

C. Bad luck

If the ult ISN'T instant, then it may just be

D. Superhuman reaction time + Demonically bad luck

Personally, if this happened repeatedly, I think it's D. Some people are just born unlucky, you know?

The ultimate is NOT instant, You can clearly see an animation of Mercury running when he uses it (unlike instant teleports like Blink or Assassinate). It would be pretty interesting if somebody could find a way calculate his speed (I doubt its actually faster then the speed of sound).

It probebly is faster then the speed of sound since it comes pretty close to the sperd of blink or assasinate which is instant.

Also funfact sonic the hedgehog never even came close to the speed of sound in any of his games.
Mario was in his first game faster then sonic was in his first game.
