Do junglers need to prioritize mid more? Even if the other lanes are having a hard time?

Been in game as a jungler. Our mid keeps telling me to try and help mid. He wasn't really having that tough of a time compared to the other 2 lanes which were doing bad. So tell me, is it worth it to push mid more than the other lanes?

No. No. If one lane isn't even in trouble but they keep calling for help, and there are TWO other lanes crying for help who really need it, you skip mid for helping one of the two which is highest priority.

The toughest part about being a jungler is juggling the needs of all three lanes. But the easiest part of being a jungler is choosing not to help an inconsiderate player who needs a babysitter.

You should always make sure mid does well, as the high burst quality of them usually is more impactful than any other role in the game (Even if ADC's have a higher overall impact in a teamfight, due to their sustained damage, without a burst mid they will not have the time required to pump out this damage, before they get rolled over).
However, if they're at least holding their own, and other lanes are losing, help the other lanes.

In my opinion, if all lanes are roughly equal, prioritize mid over the duo lane (it helps both people) over the solo lane, as most conventional solo laners are tanks or bruisers with good base stats, who can live without items.

But if your mid WAS doing at least well, as you assert, then yes, help other lanes. If he was slightly losing lane, it's better to ensure he has an impact late game over the carry, who will end up useful in a teamfight no matter what, even if there's less DPS. Burst > DPS in this game, sadly, hence the 'best' mids atm are Poseidon and Agni - both with ridiculous ults.
But that's a tad off topic.

If mid is at least holding their lane and at least staying level with their opponent then you shouldn't worry too much.

I've jungled in a few game where the mid just demanded that I stay near mid at all times. I for the most part ignored him and did my usual routine of dropping buffs for everyone. I would only go into mid when I was changing sides. Usually then I would do a good hard poke on the enemy to make them retreat to their tower.

I would only set up ganks there if both sides were also doing well.

Yet if our mid was struggling, then I would set up more ganks to cause the enemy mid to either die or leave lane.

My main goal as a jungler is to help put the rest of the team in a favorable position come mid and late game. Cause when you get right down to it; there are some gods that do not farm well. So the last thing they need to be doing is to be stuck farming in jungle late game due to having a bad early game.

Just help mid with doing the mid harpies, other than that you don't have to worry about it unless he/she is having a terrible game.

I would recommend focusing more on the duo lane actually, because a double kill in the duo lane can easily be a free gold fury :)
