New smite updates = Ew Play I'm done

Well I have been gone a while and today I played 4 matches of smite.

Seriously what the heck did they do? I can't even play this game no more literally meaning I don't think I will play smite anymore because its so choppy.

Arena looks cool but I noticed its so choppy its unplayable mainly because my laptop.
But even in domination I swore my laptop is running smite WAY worst then it was when I was playing before I left for a few weeks.

What the heck did they do? Seriously WHat has changed I thought it was only like one update yet my laptop is acting like it can't even keep up with anything on smite anymore even though I used to play arena, 3v3, dom with NO problems other than low graphics.

Now I can't even play because of how choppy the game is. I guess it has to be true that the FPS gets lowered every patch or something because I don't know why else I can't play smite unless they messed up my setting somehow.

I didn't try 3v3 I only tried arena and dom.
Dom was kind of laggy with meh ping.

Arena the new updated cool one I can't play on because its so choppy.
Then somehow it switched me back to regular arena map but I still noticed it was a bit choppy.

I hate to say but I think I will be done with smite until I get a new computer in the summer. I will probably still check on this forum but until summer comes I probably won't be playing at all because its unplayable for me where as before I could play and was no where near as bad.

I didn't check 3v3 maybe I can play that but all the other stuff I can't and thats pretty bad because that means all the other people can't run it either even on lowest setting unless they have a good pc.

Meh, I will check on the updates every few days and still check on the forum for stuff but I won't be playing much until summer. Meh at least I get time to do other things I guess its a good thing.

So, as far as me I will probably return to PLAYING smite in the summer, I will still be on the forum and look at youtube videos but as far as playing that is not possible anymore because Hi-Rez made it unplayable for people like me with scrub laptops :D

I just don't get how the change is so dramatic unlike the other patches though because whatever updates they had since I have been gone just totally screwed me playing this game.

Now I usually play Yugioh dueling network for fun in the mean time, go on youtube ect.

Welcome to computer technology circa 2010 AD.

The new arena and domination maps have post processing effects, so you can't exactly play them on a potato.

I have an average computer by most standards and Smite doesn't even begin to make it break a sweat, also. Except that stupid Ao Kuang party dragon skin that sometimes gives me random FPS hits, which has to be some kind of an issue with the confetti coming out of him constantly.

So I'm not the only one, I thought my laptop was starting to fall apart when I tried the new Arena yesterday and played throughout the match with 15-25 FPS.

When I started playing Smite last summer I played it on medium & low 1366x768 with decent FPS and now low 1024x768 gives me unplayable FPS when in teamfights to decent when alone or with just one-two gods near me.

Are you running at the lowest graphic settings? Also, don't run DX11 with anti-aliasing. Dropped my FPS from 150 to 20 in the main menu.

I know how this feels. Tried to Ares in the new Arena map... 10 fps, 150 ping, I was just an ult machine.

and my last game where I attempted Isis mid, which I can do? same thing. I would overshoot my 2, overaim my 1, miss my 3, and detonate my 4 at the wrong time. I fed horribly, and I had a Loki who was rubbing it in, even though I admitted I was feeding.

It's adjustable in the graphics settings in the game itself. Check it out and turn everything to the lowest to get the best performance.

What exactly does the Vertical sync and rag doll phsycis do, no need to into super detail but do they help you at all because I can't remember if I had those boxes checked or unchecked.

And when I first started playing smite last year on the old map where the jungle was really bright and had skinny paths, my laptop had like no choppyness at all on low settings. I could even play conquest with no problem.

Then ever since like 10 updates and they brought the new conquest map in I could barely play that conquest until a few more patches where I just stopped playing conquest because the fps wasn't that great.

So then I started spamming arena, dom ect.

Now just those 4-6 week updates just murdered my arena, dom, ect to where I probably can't play it.

Eh I just woke up so I am going to get on smite later and see if 3v3 works fine or not.

Also why does arena play 2 different types of maps?
