I don't consider ults grounds for gap closers, because it means they're useless pre-5, useless without ult, and can only use it once for once person. I know that's slightly close minded, but it's how it is. It's like saying Thanatos's ult is a gap closer...it really isn't, and it's why his garbage.

Although that's a touchy subject, apparently, for smitefire.

@RT - would you give Thanatos more mobility? He has a (massive) movement speed buff and a his ult provides insane mobility, on top of that fact that he has a long ranged skill shot that slows. He doesn't need more gap closers, chase or escapism, because it'd mean he'd have everything.

@Sub - Artemis, AMC, basically all Mages (apart from maybe Vulcan & Agni), Arachne etc. All have nothing to offer against this guy in the term of counterplay.

Man, so many times I have heard the the term "Release Guan" in the context of overpowerness, but never got to try it out. I heard that there was an item that made him super op, something that deals damage according to the amount of hits... Wish I had there to see it, just out of curiosity. Was he more overpowered than release day Nemesis?

Yes, Jordenito, but that's my point. He has thanatos's lack of gap closer, but not thanatos's speed, UNTIL he reaches his target, which is hard enough.

Also, I kind of like gods like this...sure, people who get caught get melted. But this might FINALLY force smite players to learn positioning instead of just running straight into a fight, spam all their abilities, and hold left click. Hunters and Mages will have to learn how to position themselves or die immediately.

Or people will complain about dying despite being out of position, he'll get nerfed, and nothing will change.

Eh. I feel smite players need a mindset change sometimes, tbh.

There is enough punishment for positioning already. Any god without an escape, i.e Artemis, AMC and most of the Mages die in seconds if they are mispositioned. I just don't like a go that there is literally no counter play against him if you don't have an escape. And just because he can't catch up to others, doesn't mean he can't reach them. His slow has great range and ridiculous cooldown and he can empower that slow to an insane amount.

And so what if he doesn't have the best gap closers in the game? Because giving him more gap closers/ways to catch up to people will just turn him into Nemesis 2.0.

Personally I don't see how he is OP, I agree that on paper he is insane, but as an Ao Kuang all you literally have to do is ult on the spot, tornado, squall and then poly if you have it, he is so dead. I also agree that he is a late game beast however, get past the early game in which he is considered UP and youre set. What he is though, IS FUN AS HELL! The whole concept of his passive etc is soososososo mint! RIP in pieces Ymir wall ^^

Actually, I need to reword my last statement. He's not overpowered, but he makes a lot of gods underpowered. Which is kind of overpowered, in a sense.

To be honest, I don't really agree with this whole MAKES OTHERS USELESS fiasco.

Firstly, it takes 4 seconds to stun them. 4 SECONDS. Sure, he can slow well, but a lot of mages have area deterrent, so if osiris wants to stick to them, then... tough. He'll have to take the damage. Like raven said: he can STICK to targets like glue; getting to them may be a problem. Also, his ult... it is easier trying to formulate an explanation for the Shrek Brogre Brotherhood than it is to land Osiris' ult. And to be honest, It's underwhelming. What does it do, asides from damage and weakening curse? Not too much I'd say. It's good mid camp steal, and good against hel, but really a tyr dunk or a divine judgement or an ANYTHING can often be more effective. He just seems like he's tough to deal with when he there, yes, but if you stay away there is no problem.
