I like both nerfs. Although I like to play Geb (ML 1!) I think this nerf is okay. And I love the Freya nerf, she carried every Arena/Assault/3v3 match I played since weeks..

I don't think the Freya nerf is that random - it's fan service basically.
Loads of people have been complaining about Freya in all casual queue's. I have not played a game with Freya without team and opponents complaining about how OP she is.

Casual opinions are, however, disregardable when you look at competitive play, wheras Freya is easy to shut down when focused, more so now. The nerf just shoved her out of ranked play and balanced her for casual play, from a casual's perspective. I don't agree to it, but that's the reasoning Hi-rez did I think.

The Geb nerf is alright. Seems worse than it is because the flat HP is reduced. But the majority of the shield came from his % anyway - if you build Geb properly.

All with all these patch notes are super underwhelming. :(
That's just my 2 cents.

Oy! Give me some privacy.

Three patches since the new year started, and every single one has been pretty underwhelming. Guess there's no "third time's the charm" for Hi-Rez.

Some people can't understand the scaling on Freya. But think of the attack speed items. She can dish out 3 or more pulse shots in a second with all the possible speed items she can get. This way. She's really more of a late game duelist than an early game OP god with just one attack speed item.

Nerfing Freya is a dumb move in my opinion. Actually nerfing gods just because people complain about those specific gods are dumb moves. The balancing should be by developers only counting their opinions, not listening to some random streamer and a couple of ragers from Reddit.

She was just fine(even before the nerf on her ulti). She had good damage but that damage was on cooldowns only and that wasn't overpowered in the slightest. If she had Pulse attacks all the time that would've been something scary but people just charge in against Freyas when Pulse is active and they find her overpowered instead of waiting for Pulse to end and counter attack her. What's done is done, nice job Hi-rez again.

P.S. An even bigger nerf for Freya idea: make magi's Blessing cancel Banish and make Purification Beads end banish. Then remove her from the game.

I guess I'm the only one that found freya op. I like all the changes.

I'm in agreement with Raventhor (for once): the Freya nerf was completely unnecessary and uncalled for.

I find that most of the people who complain about Freya being OP whenever I carry games with her, are usually doing absolutely nothing to try and shut me down before I can actually carry the game. They don't try to counterjungle me, they don't try to focus me in teamfights, and let me get farmed up and fed.

Let me just say that if you aren't trying to shut down a carry like Freya, you deserve to get stomped and lose the game. The same thing happens when gods like He Bo and Zeus are allowed to farm up and get fed: they will destroy you with insane burst.

If anything should've changed, at least make her Banish mechanics fall in line with other forms of CC, because that's really the only legitimate complaint regarding Freya, that you can't do anything about being Banished.
Waiting on a good new MOBA, please.

Going to chime back in on this patch thread to agree with the majority here. The nerf on Freya is unneeded. She definitely hits hard, but is pretty much all ability dependent. She's also highly squishy when she gets caught. She was honestly fine where she was at.

So, GGs to Hi-Rez for passing a nerf on Freya instead of someone who needs it.

Geb nerfbat so hard. Half base health on that shield now, before factoring in Geb's health, is quite a bit on its own.

Still no end to Chaac's reign of terror in sight.
