So I've been playing a bunch of gods recently in practice mode to find one I want to buy, but all of a sudden It won't let me play any of the free gods, I've relogged about three times to the same thing, is this a bug? or is there a limit on how many games you play with all of them?

It was a recent change. HirezStew posted the reasoning behind the decision on Reddit earlier. You can check it here.

He basically says it's to help prevent a newer player getting confused/overwhelmed when trying to learn gods. I honestly think it's not a very good choice for the reasons he states and somewhat lazy, but that's what happened.

Thats... dumb....

I mean, dota 2 does it in normal games and that game did fine....

Yep. It is dumb. Hi Rez tends to make a lot of dumb decisions.

I like that they're trying to address that particular "issue", but this was definitely not the right way to address it.

Only on Jungle Practice all the gods are available.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods.
