That's a very persuasive argument, you clearly laid out the problems with the system and how to rectify it!
I love in depth consideration of the problems with each ability and how it is affecting the current gameplay!

They aren't that bad. The 2nd tier is pretty much the same item. I feel like it gives more versatility to the item. Although it is too expensive...

My only problem with them is that they're too expensive. Most of the time, I don't even complete it to the third level because simply buying items will be more beneficial.

I like how buying the next tier lowers the cooldown. They should increase the effectiveness of the on-use ability, instead of the duration and effectiveness of the buff it gives.

The items themselves should be split up into three tiers, I can kind of see why now.

This only applies to some, but if the effects of all the abilities remained the same as the last patch for 250 gold, yet slightly weaker. Along with, second tier being 600 like the older days of smite when abilities cost around 750 and were alot stronger. Then that 1000, no one buys, but it'll be similar to the over buffed versions of some of the abilities. But other than that, it is kind of useless to have tiered ones without the old 3G/sec games.

who else accidentally buys the extra tier because they double click then can't resale it. I keep doing it because I'm used to double clicking to buy things.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
