I don't know how many other people are with me on this, but, I believe there should at least be an option to turn off the stream on this site. If I wanted to watch a stream, I would go to twitch. As it stands now, I didn't realise the changes, and have effectively sapped my internet usage, because I had several windows open, comparing builds and such. Great site, and all, but this **** just isn't right.

Smitefire, please take that twitch stream off the main pages/god guides/anywhere else but in the smite TV streams & video section.

Yes, I created an account specifically for complaining about this, before anyone says anything about my post count.

Oh, I see. You don't understand the difference between a toggle on the stream and a pause button. No problem, I'll explain:

I don't watch the streams. I would prefer an option which would stop me from having to pause every stream each time I open a new page, or window, or tab, what-have-you.

for example: I come here if I've chosen assault and got a god I'm not used to playing, so I quickly check some guides. I don't want to have to pause 6 different streams on 6 different windows when I am quickly looking for a reference.

Make more sense big guy?

Yeah, he is kind of right, the stream does lag the site loading quite a bit. I would recommend the google chrome add on where you can automatically click on the god to go to the god's guides, but I lost the thread.

Thanks for the help, coldhotshot. I'm glad someone could be helpful, instead of chastising me for the complaint. Kudos.

I normally use Opera, but I can run chrome just for smitefire, I guess.

Most of the problem for me was in the fact that the streams are muted when I loaded the page, and I didn't even notice they were playing... So when I had 10 different smitefire tabs open, A) It slowed my internet connection to a crazy degree, and B) is using up bandwidth which really has no place being used up.


Smitefire is a great site, but I think the stream was hastily put out, without much thought as to whether people actually WANT to see the streams. I mean, not everyone wants to, or am I absolutely wrong there?
