Ty. have the stream only on the main page, or somehow have it only show on the 1st smite page some1 opens. i don't mind having to pause it once, but every page not including the forums is a big hassle. not only did it suck up my bandwidth, the paused streams would somehow magically unpause so when im in a smite game it would start to lag.

I hope that's true. I really like the site, but the streams are dissuading me from using it lately.

I noticed people on the hi Rez forums asking why new streamers from smitefire are getting higher viewers than the established pros on twitch. If this issue isn't fixed, I believe it may end up becoming negative publicity for Smitefire.

Hopefully the mods/owners realise this, and fix the entire issue.

Solved: (because they wouldn't do anything. get adblocker+ addon for your internet browser right click the widget on web site and block twitch stream widgets.doesn't effect the twitch streams on twitch, but blocks twitch widgets on other sites. I wouldn't go to such extremes if u just gave me an option.)Previously posted pre edit ---> well i still wish there would be an option for streams shown in the god guide area.... when the stream unpauses itself u get a lil hicup in game which can f*** u up if your in a team fight. i have a great pc, and road runner lightning 1 of the best isp set ups u can get in the u.s. and i get this affect... couldn't imagine anyone with an avg. internet connection/ computer.

streams are currently offline. if you get a lag spike it isn't because of this site.

I have ABP, yet I can't right click the widget to lock it on the site. Perhaps it's because I'm using Opera... I don't know.

Nevermind, I found it. Turns out I just had to right click anywhere on the page, and click block content, followed by clicking the stream.

Leaving it blocked, as I really won't be using that function at all on this site, after (essentially) already having paid for it out of my own pocket.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
