Yeah I just noticed this at work!! Haven't noticed any issues at home because my internet is awesome!
I posted a new thread and I didn't realise there was one already on it, would be useful to have the streams not automatically starting on the page.

I have a pretty nice Internet plan, but since I'm in Canada, there really isn't a no download cap plan available. We get gouged here if we go over our download cap. When sites do things like force streams, it actually impacts my downloads pretty heftily. I don't normally hit my cap, but last month I ended up going over by 5 gigs. That cost me 10 bucks. Over the several days I was using smitefire without noticing the stream due to it playing muted, I can only assume those extra charges came from use of this site. I'm kind of bothered that they would implement something like a forced stream, without thinking of how it could impact users of the site.

There has to be a way to fix this, smitefire. I'd rather not have to stop using the site to save my Internet.

I'm against this aswell, it ruins the site for me while creating and editing guides as I then have about 4-5 different tabs up all the time which results in 5 stream active. Please fix this or I litterally will have to stop visiting this site, this idea has caused nothing else but trouble. It's just sad that you are doing this just to get on top of the other streamers. Ruthless.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
