From the very start of this post. It's obvious that you have no way to make a "Sound" argument. If we're talking about gameplay. So... voice effects gameplay?

Does saying "Attack left lane" with Athena's voice gives inspiration to your teammates?
Does saying "Me booty the best booty" as pirate sobek instill fear in his opponents?
Does saying "I'll attack the Titan" make you able to solo Titan and win the game?

Does... your mind have any common sense when you say that the voice "Effects" the gameplay...?

They are ACCESSORIES. Not a charger that has USE for your electronic devices. It is a STICKER. It makes things look pretty. Not work BETTER.

The fact that this guy is still going on about "missing content" even after multiple people have explained that additional commands were implemented just weeks ago, and that they will all be updated when HiRez can rehire their particular voice actors signifies that he's not willing to accept discussion. He's just holding on to it because there's nothing else that defends his viewpoint.

So Hi Rez should spend tons of money to make different voices for each gods VGS commands and then give it to everyone for free?

If they did that they could just as well give us all the skins for free as well (lets face it it is a skin for the VGS commands) and heck why not give us every god for free as well! Because Hi Rez employees do not need to be payed or anything right? x)

1: Hi Rez made a epic system with the VGS commands (not sure if Smite was the first MOBA to use it, but it was at least not implemented to LOL when I quit and started to play Smite). AND THAT IS FREE (and that is the basic system).
2: Voice packs have no effect on gameplay at all, sure you get a laugh of them but the basic system works just as well (if not better.. Looking at you Geb, ****ing slowpoke).
3: Hi Rez have to pay their employees and the ppl they use to do the voice acting.
4: They just added more VGS commands, so it will be updated before release (hopefully).
5: It has no effect on gameplay...
6: It is for fun.
7: No effect on gameplay.
8: Did I mention that it does not effect gameplay?

PS: did not bother reading all the comments, so guessing ppl have said all of this before :P

To support Turnip's point he also keeps saying they should make VPs optional because they're standard, yet people keep saying that how else are they gonna make money, and personally I think if he's arguing(sorry if I spelled it wrong) about VPs being standard then why isn't he complaining about gods not being free? Seeing as it's the method of playing the game.

That's a typical excuse someone uses when their arguments fail. Whatever the case, I think we've reasonably established that HiRez's business strategy is actually beneficial to everyone - the entire game is free, but still offers fun/entertaining micro-transactions that don't affect gameplay.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
