I vote damage reduction. It's cooldown is fine, but it doesn't need to one-shot people

I wonder who complained that Janus would need a nerf. All his abilities are not easy to hit and/or easy to dodge, he's not overpowered in the slightest.

After the first few matches playing him (most of them in Siege) I realized that his ultimate is all about mega ganks, getting out the split pusher alive, back-dooring the titan, a surprise at the silver fury and what-not would require the whole team at a certain place in a certain moment. This is like Apollo taking everyone in his chariot.

So I think the casting time and not damaging minions is very fair considering the utility it has.

About his 2, it's also very difficult to hit someone with its full damage potential. Unless the target is still, you will most likely miss, hitting the target with only one "unstable portal" or whatever. It's way to easy to dodge to deserve a nerf.
And this is also his only true damaging ability, the portal's (his 1) damage is pretty lame for a "mage" and his ultimate will only hit a target that has been going through pillars of heaven, Shards of Ice and maybe hit by Weakening Curse.

I'm not a Janus fan-boy, don't get me wrong, I barely played 7-8 matches with him and I'm not impressed, but nerfing his 2 in either way will mess around with his main (and only true) damaging ability.

It's very hard to dodge since it's strange movement pattern (imo) and when he gets close, he can easily hit you with it.

On the contrary, once you get the hang of it it's easy to dodge. If he gets close he will only hit you with one of the two things, which has decent damage that most of the mages do. So I fail to see something overpowered on Unstable Vortex.

Doesn't the two of the portals hit when you fire the thing at point blank?

I don't find it hard to dodge. Most experienced Janus's know to get the full dmg potential they have to hit you with both portals (The part in the center where they link) So Simpley Strafing left or right avoids it.

Although if they are smart like me ;) 3-1-2 is best. Slow them and increase dmg, they fall into portal. time and position your 2 so it hits in center right once they fall. Most squishies even early game are guaranteed to fall to 25% health.

Problem is, as we all expected before he released. Janus played well would be a nightmare, otherwise he's pretty mediocre.

With all that said. I think he's balanced, I've never ben super afraid of a janus, nor have I felt super OP playing him. Theres more gods out there that I find myself screaming out "This is ********!". I know most don't consider him OP. But Thor really pisses me off.

I agree that Janus does not need a nerf. When playing with any hunter worth a darn, they will last hit my kill almost every time. I end up doing massive player damage but always end up like 3/0/25. I like his ult. It's fun to try to lead people from across the map and blast them. I've gotten a few double kills that way. It's particularly satisfying in joust, when a player gets around his wall with his phoenix intact and they think they're safe.. and... BLAMMO! It's not easy, but enormously satisfying.
