Well we did see Kyoshi lavabend

kinda of a stretch also I couldn't find a better episode but clearly lava/enough fire to melt the island in the full episode


or what about this Avatar

I think this episode was from the episode where Aang meets Roku for the first time


and speaking of Roku

looks like he melted the floor thus lava Bending!

and since these are all Avatars it was just always assumed that they were bending with fire and earth at the same time. Or at least that may have been what the creators were going for when they first made the show.

I never remembered Kyoshi lava bending but I remember Roku. And also Sozin assisted Roku lava bending which doesn't really make sense.

Anyways I'm talking about non-avatars strictly since they have been able to do it more easily being able to fire bend and earth bend (what the creators of avatar have said even though it doesn't make sense). I guess they can do it more easily because they have a stronger connection between the elements and such.

But lava benders other than avatars? Sozin (not sure of) Ghazan, and Bo Lin. I honestly doubt they'd put Toph on that list. I think they're going to leave lava bending out of it forever (last season) maybe in future comics.

no of course toph didn't invent it i was just saying why i think the writers of LoK wouldn't give her the ability to lava bend.

I think they would.
She is like the master earth-bender, so it would make sense for her to be able to lavabend.

Meh, I guess we'll see next Friday or by the end of the season :). I really hope they don't have an episode on Bo Lin, the air benders, Asami, and Mako. I really only want to see more Korra and Kuvira. Would be so happy if they had them in one episode going back and forth from their POV but sadly I doubt that'll happen until later.

Do I stay awake for a few more to hours to watch it, or do I sleep and watch it when I wake up. Or do I just spend the two bucks to get it on Amazon instant video.

okay I'm awake and the new episode is out.


IT WAS AMAZING, expect for the last 10 seconds just because that gimmick has never been used before. But I do look forward to seeing the spin they take with it.

She's all right, but she doesn't have anything on Amon. :P

Korra still has metal in her - very interesting, but I'm also so relieved that Toph didn't metalbend it out. Such a quick fix after all these years (teehee) would be pretty lame. Interesting how as Korra is less confident she has switched to using airbending more than the other elements.


Meelo is the greatest character of all time. I hope we get an interaction between him and Toph, it's guaranteed to be golden.
