Introduction

pick me up
RAMA
pick me up

Hi everybody! It's me UnknownPandr and I'm back with another guide! This time on Rama the 7th Avatar. Rama is a very auto attack based adc and has a interesting mechanic where you'll generate Astral Arrows and they'll fuel your Astral Strike. Rama can also do many things with his Rolling Assault, but the most important thing is he has the most kill confirm tool in the game I believe: Astrall. Now as I further a do, let's get into Rama!

Pros / Cons

Pros: Cons:
+ Great Mobility - Not much CC
+ Great Waveclear - Weak Early Game
+ Insane Late Game - Astral Strike Dependent
+ Awesome Kill Confirm

Skills

Astral Quiver is a very straight forward Passive. You'll get a arrow every 13 seconds and when you basic attack anything, minions, monsters, and gods it'll lower the cooldown. Make sure to to keep this passive stacked as much as possible since Astrall Strike is your bread and butter.

Now this skill like I mentioned above: Astral Strike and it's pretty much your bread and butter. When you toggle this skill you'll start firing astral arrows. What this buff will do is you'll basic attacks will pierce targets as it will pass through units aswell as make your basic attacks and slow them. This is your damage tool and used for clearing waves. While your toggling this you also have a chance to drop astrall, but we'll get more into that below.

Now, this is a extremely strong attack speed steroid, at level 1 it'll give you 30% attack speed and lasts for 5 seconds. This can is really strong early as it'll give you the ability to applie your Astral Strikes quickly as well as become super strong late game. This not gives nice attack speed, but while your Astral Strike is active you have a chance to drop astral arrows and if you pick them up you'll gain an astrall arrow. So eearly keep in mind that 6 and your Astral Strike can easily go through all of them, so most likely they'll atleast try 1 or 2 astral arrows.

This is your basic escape skill and can allow you to do some awesome tricks. I highly suggest putting this on instant cast, why? Because it feels alot more natural and works alot more better. But aside from that you get a instant burst on your next basic attack, plus while your firing it you do not suffer the movement spell slow of basic attacks. It also cripples, but the main mechanic of it is it's a badass role that does alot of damage on your basic attack.

Ahhh, one of the best kill confirmers in the game. This does extremely nice burst and the range of it is CRAZY! It DoT may get smaller per shot, but the amount of burst it does will most likely kill an enemy on the first or second shot. And I want to say this ONLY and I say ONLY use as a tool to confirm kills. Of course your immune during it and if you find your safe in a tight situation then you may pop it and let your team rescue you. I also do want to point out if you fire all of the 3 arrows the ult will stop, but if you don't it'll last for atleast 4-5 seconds.

Items

___________________________________________________________________________________

Warrior Tabi
Pretty much the standard boots on any Assassin or Hunter. Movement to escape and roam, physical power because reasons, attack speed yet again reasons, but you can figure it out, and last but not least the flat 25 penetration. If you didn't know flat 25 penetration is very strong early game and thats why most Assassins and Adc's get it.
___________________________________________________________________________________
Devourer's Gauntlet
Devourer's Gauntlet is the stacking item meta right now. It gives great Lifesteal and Physical Power and does not take too long to stack. It's primarally bought early game, so you can start start stacking it as soon as possible. By the end of the game it's going to be very powerful. At max it'll give a total of 60 + Physical Power and + 25% Lifesteal.
___________________________________________________________________________________
Heartseeker
Now Heartseeker is a very high risk item. It gives SO much physical power and thats why it's bought. If you can start stack this quickly and confident you won't die I highly suggest it.
___________________________________________________________________________________
Qin's Sais
Now Qin's Sais is an absolute CORE, it's passive synergizes with Rama very well and with Pick me up you'll be shredding health the entire game. This is something you need to pick up as soon as possible.
___________________________________________________________________________________
DeathBringer
Deathbringer is one of the most highest damage burst items in the game right now. Almost all Hunters or Assassins get it. Paired up with Rage or Malice you'll notice your basic attacks will start being monsterous.
___________________________________________________________________________________
Malice
Now, this is a nice item if you want to add some sustained damage to your AA's pretty much late game. It gives +20 more physical power then Rage and like I said it adds some nice sustained damage to your AA's
___________________________________________________________________________________
Rage
I prefer Rage much more then malice. You'll have a better chance to hit crits with this item which I think crits are more important on a god like Rama rather then the sustained damage from Malice
___________________________________________________________________________________
Executioner
The only time I would suggest exo is the enemy team isn't really stacked physical defense. The item is great and synergizes really well with him, but I rather get Titan's Bane
___________________________________________________________________________________
Titan's Bane
Titan's Bane is an amazing item. When you get it you'll see your damage raise extremely high. You most remember this does % penetration, so it's mainly bought late game and you'll notice its effectiveness late game. Keep in mind that this doesn't add to the penetration cap at all, only flat penetration adds to it.

This is useually the skill order I like to as it'll give you the highest damage with you maxing Rolling Assault 2nd, so you can have insta burst on your next AA. Pick me up is a late game tool, you'll rarely be using it early game. The main thing early game pick me up will help you with this Astral Quiver management. Of course max your ult as much as possible. You'll need to kill confirm and overall for the burst.

Conquest:
Rama conquest is very standard and my preferred gamemode for him. You'll notice right at the start Rama is a bit weak early, but once you get Astral Strike and Rolling Assault you'll see your damage starts picking up and at level 9 you'll see quite a nice power spike. Just remember early don't use Rolling Assault to harass or else you'll use your only escape. You also really wanna manage your Astral Quiver, I suggest using Astral Strike atleast 2-3 every wave. You'll most likely get 1-2 arrows back and you'll clear the waves fast. Now, by now you should have your Qin sais which is really nice, because this is when you start becoming a power house. Your going to have dueling potential. Next after you get your final items, aka crits you'll pretty much be destroying everyone. This is also the point of the game where astral barrages damage really falls off and where you'll have to depend on your AA's.

Solid guide! Basically the same as mine, though your explanation of the differences of Qin's vs Executioner are a bit off imo sir. And you said
Quoted:
The only time I would suggest exo is the enemy team isn't really stacked physical defense.
Which is actually the opposite. You pick Qins when they stack health and you pick Executioner when they stack defense. Though I wouldnt get both Executioner AND Titans bane so if Titans is your preference then I understand the choice. Also keep in mind that if someone else on your team is building Executioner, the debuffs dont stack past 3 =P

Oh! And your starting choices, you went for Heartseeker rush but your same build is Devo gloves. Just a tad bit of inconsistency there.

Not votes up or down right now. Will gladly upvote if the inconsistencies are worked out. <3

Additionally, try prioritizing pick me up>>roll and you'll see your early/mid game clear become a lot better. Makes solo laning easier as well, letting your support roam. Very well written guide though.

The addition of heart seeker in here worries me. You receive less physical power from devo gloves but the important part is stack retention. You need to be willing to take risks early game in order to spiral, and if that goes poorly even getting to lifesteal for sustain is hard. I could see HS being played on a quick clear assassin like mercury or Loki but it's days as an ADC tool are at an end for now. As you pointed out he is slow early given the low attack speed (meaning far fewer astral arrows) which is why you need to rush AS to access the full benefit of his kit).

Visually, the guide looks amazing.

As for the rest:

As far as I know, Warrior Tabi provides 15 Pen, not 25.

Astral Quiver provides an Astral Arrow every 15 seconds, not 13.

No reasons for choosing either of the stacking items, something like X when <conquest stuff here> and Y when <other conquest stuff here>.

A skill upgrade order grid instead of icons would be nice for those who are too lazy to decipher the icons of his abilities. :P

Looking forward to a more detailed gameplay section, a better organized items section (situational items/core items, purchase order/situational purchase order), an active section and match-ups as well as other gamemodes.

I'm writing these in a "suggesting stuff" manner, not as critique.

Since this both looks very good and gives all the basic info on the god and how to play him, for a <WIP>, you'll definitely get my upvote.

For a WIP, nice guide so far. The largest thing missing, imho, is how Rama has the potential to change the meta (pending nerfs). In almost every casual game with him, I see the support taking blue buff and Rama going buffless or with speed/damage buff. If the blue-buffed support is someone like Ymir, then Rama + dam/spd buff + red pot is basically ridiculous early lane control and poke, demands enemy jungler presence, and basically (should) send the rest of your team into easy/aggro mode.

I'm newer to Smite, so take this with a grain of salt. I just see his lack of mana reliance in the early game as too good to ignore in a Rama guide.

Gj so far on the guide!

I will also try to be unbiased too. Thanks for putting me in the credits section, btw :P.

I really like the templates and descriptions for items/skills. However, I do agree on sub that the gameplay is a bit lacking. Normally I'm not the person to bash on lacking gameplay, but I know this is a WIP, so I'll let it go. Although I do like you, I don't usually upvote WIP guides :/. So incase I forget, just remind me, and I'll most likely give it an upvote with a better review, since it's looking pretty good so far. As of now, I won't vote.

Suggestions: Talk about the usage of pick me up. Personally, I find Rama a straightforward god, but find myself a bit confused as to when the right moment is to use pick me up. I just use it when I have blue buff before Astral Strike.

Um. This is a WIP, I know, and I worked on this myself, I know, but I'll still try to review as constructively and not-biased-ly as I can.

Build: Seems alright, although I don't see an Asi in there, which seems odd, considering how well the item suits him.

Skills: Pretty well explained, but I think you should really add in my tip of using the three with his one for clear, allowing you to level his three first.

Gameplay: Lacking, to say the least. Aside from a tip or two about laning phase, the rest is pretty much "at this point, you should be winning." Not very helpful.

Other: Um, not sure what else to put.

Overall: This is a WIP guide for sure.

In my opinion Rage works better with Rama's playstyle and it synergizes very well. Of course, I'm not saying Malice is bad on him. Malice works extremely well with him too, I guess it's all about personal opinion.
