First and foremost, you should specify what game modes your guide will cover. An arena build is going to be vastly different from a conquest or assault build.
So let me start by saying the arena damage build has a good start. Just needs a few tweaks. Let's go over the items.
The Executioner won't give your abilities penetration, only your Auto Attacks. You said you the The Executioner because of attack speed? Try The Crusher. It gives attack speed, and it has flat penetration, which WILL help you abilities as well as your auto attacks.
To sum up:
Drop The Executioner (not the best item for an ability based god. There are better items) and shield of regrowth (not suited in a damage build).
Bloodforge is ok, but you can consider a different item.
I want you to consider: The Crusher, Void Shield, Ancile, Mantle of Discord, or Magi's Cloak in your builds.
So here are updated build examples:
Warrior Tabi
Jotunn's Wrath
Hydra's Lament
Void Shield
Ancile
The Crusher (preferred) or Bloodforge
Warrior Tabi
Jotunn's Wrath
Hydra's Lament
Magi's Cloak/ Mantle of Discord
The Crusher
Bloodforge
Go ahead and give my suggestions a try. I want to hear back about how they worked for you.
Soul Eater's cool down is good, but it just doesn't offer you enough power or penetration to be useful (60 fully evolved vs. Bloodforge's 75).
I'm glad you're taking the feedback and adjusting the damage build. However, don't adjust the build just because I told you to do so. Adjust it after you try out my suggestions and feel comfortable with them. After you try out my suggestions, if you dont like them, come back and we can discuss some more.
Are you familiar with how protections and penetration work? gods get physical protections as they level up. Building low penetration, even against squishy targets, means a lot of your damage potential is going to be mitigated by the enemy.
Now let's view the current damage build you have posted:
Warrior Tabi
Jotunn's Wrath
Hydra's Lament
Magi's Cloak
The Crusher
Bloodforge
We get a total of +25 penetration from Jotunn's Wrath and The Crusher. This is OK against squishy targets (mages and hunters mainly). Especially since you have other items like Hydra's Lament (high damage boosting for AA cancelling), and Bloodforge (high power).
Now let me ask you, what if the majority of the enemy team was building tanky? Or what if the enemy guardian builds Sovereignty and Gauntlet of Thebes? Now +25 flat penetration isn't going to punch through enemy armor. What's your answer? Titan's Bane. You need to list that as a situational in your guide. I would replace Bloodforge with Titan's Bane if you encounter tanky enemies or if enemy guardian/warrior building Sovereignty or Gauntlet of Thebes.
It's ideal to build Titan's Bane late game (5th/6th item). This is when you'll get the most benefit out of the passive because this is when enemies have their defenses online. Also, this is why Kriega scolded you for buying The Executioner second item. Enemies just don't have enough defense that early in the game for The Executioner to be useful.
Once you've grasped this concept, we'll cover one more topic. Then we'll move onto hybrid damage build.
Some people really like that Bloodforge because of the health shield it gives you after you get an execute, so they may want to replace a different item for Titan's Bane.
You'll have to see what the enemy is building whenever you go to base to buy items. This is very important when it comes to counter building the enemy. That will be our next topic. I'll touch on it on the damage build, but I'll go in depth when we get to the hybrid and tank builds. Let me know when you're ready.
You need to add Brawler's Beat Stick to the suggested item list. What if the enemy team had a lot of healing? Brawler's Beat Stick would come in handy.
So to recap on the builds:
Warrior Tabi
Jotunn's Wrath
Hydra's Lament
Magi's Cloak
The Crusher
Bloodforge or Titan's Bane
if needing anti heal:
Warrior Tabi
Jotunn's Wrath
Hydra's Lament
Magi's Cloak
Brawler's Beat Stick
The Crusher or Bloodforge or Titan's Bane (you pick)
Build with void shield (don't worry about Titan's Bane in a build with Void Shield
Warrior Tabi
Jotunn's Wrath
Void Shield
Ancile
Hydra's Lament
The Crusher Maybe Bloodforge but I prefer The Crusher
If you need anti heal.
Warrior Tabi
Jotunn's Wrath
Void Shield
Ancile
Hydra's Lament
Brawler's Beat Stick
1) Recommending you change the name of the guide to clarify game mode.
2) For a damage Achilles build, the two relics you'll typically want are Purification Beads and Blink Rune. Blink Rune allows you to close the distance, then unload your main combo on an enemy. Purification Beads are to get you out of a sticky situation. You can consider Aegis Amulet, but I think Purification Beads and Blink Rune are the way to go on a damage build.
Let me know if you agree/disagree.
When you're ready, we'll move onto hybrid and tank builds.
