okay, this is my second attempt at a guide, been about a month. I think I got a little better feel for it and it is a more classic style build, not like my 'custom-to-me' guide. I did Artemis because she used to be my least favorite God to play, and has grown on me since getting a feel for her, and is just basic enough only good players think to focus you (because let's be serious, we've all played that one God horribly and just KNOW it's because they were inferior because- if you can't play them surely no one else can..)
You know that 'fire' button (left mouse/right trigger)? you don't need to let it go when an enemy is around, you want to constantly use your basic, and accent your basic with abilities, unlike most other Gods. Usually, you'll drop an ability or two and start basic attacking, I like to flip this with this particular build, going into fights with your ability 2, [Vengeful Assault] as you enter combat, and only dropping the other two if they're getting away ability 3, [Suppress the Insolent], or you can trap them with your root ability 1, [Transgressors Fate].
Once your jot is ready, most people think it's useless, and while it is one of the worst ults (in my personal opinion at least-) can be utilized most efficiently with one of two situations at hand.
-escaping enemies with someone (or even all three) trailing you closely.
-enemies grouped up, with allies hiding outside of main-lane (power buff or side lane)-- in using this second method you HAVE TO COMMUNICATE YOURE DROPPING IT. I say it like this because it is a short stun, and that quarter/half second can throw loki's ult, Anubis' mummify, ra's no scope awry and cause your allies to be mad, instead of securing a kill.
Also, the more enemies in the circle OR RUNNING INTO IT, the more people the boar hits and stuns, see TEAM WORK for a little more information on team-dropping your ult.
Last guide I failed miserably at explaining the build and focused more on readability, so let's go over why were choosing the items, and how they play into your character. At the end, I'll explain how to build once transcendence is finished, though it's self explanatory..
[Soul Eater] is a early life steal item for quicK-like characters, with a little stack-ability for additional movement speed, that doubles-up usability by consuming the stacks you build for additional health when low. Artemis is a God you want CONSTANTLY 'ducking&dodging' if you what to not be Loki/Nu Wa/Serqet/Erlang Shen etc. next tally.
[Ninja Tabi] if you read above, that. Also, this is starting the "wish-I-miss" part of the build, atk speed (which she has with her 2nd ability, so not a terrible amount is needed.)
[Transcendence] for those not familiar with it, is a mana-stack item, that converts mana to physical power, which once again doubles your items usefulness. If you haven't finished your soul eater (realistically if kulku or ra isn't clearing, should be done if your helping clear like you should be,) you will receive a stack for each minion and five for each God on both items. Up until now, you've had to buy mana on each back, taking 50-150g from each of your item tiers, no longer once this baby is stacked.
REDUCE MANA POD PURCHASING
[Wind Demon] this is where you start noticing EXACTLY how much you're doing, when that little crit blood-bubble pops up with your number (I had to take off damage pts, to reduce low--er fps due to poor graphics card), so if you're wondering why this is why you start exactly seeing it- it's because it literally is when I do, lol.
Anyways, what this does is give you attack and movement speed-buff with each critical strike- if you don't know what Artemis' passive is, here's a little secret- it's [Rage], for free (not exactly, same idea.)
[Bloodforge] because, lifesteal.
[Deathbringer] because, overkill.
Clear agreed jungle, and run back to tower instantly, unless no assassin is on the enemy team, even then, stick with your tank. You can use them and your maneuverability to dodge line abilities and other hunters. Stay away from side-lane wall, and the wall by their tower (opposite Mana buff) as leap abilities will take 25-50% of your health early. Focus on minions, even if kulku or Loki are clearing, firing into the group they're attacking won't steal their stacks, and you're all trying to win the game, remind them they're early game players and you carry late, because if they're complaining about a couple minion stacks, they're nubs.. In saying that, remember you are only in need of 70 TOTAL STACKS, what [Book of Thoth], the lesser of the two stacks for magical, is by itself (75 stacks), so don't be greedy.
When I 'focus' a particular God, I generally use a method that's worked 65-70% of the time for me- Ult. - Boar, ability 1 - [Transgressors Fate] run towards the stunned enemy, shooting the root on top of or I personally shoot it just past them I case of lag. Ability 2 - [Vengeful Assault] because you've already been holding the fire button down, this is simply applying the atk-speed, and crit buffs to your basic. Finally, ability 3 - [Supress the Insolent].
I'd retreat if they aren't dead yet because they're doing a U-Turn if they realize you're mana-hungry (if it's early) and spent on abilities..
Pros
+600+ critical strikes (full build)
+Easy flowing build to efficiently use your initial gold
+maneuverability and attack speed thwarts off most non-stun guards
+Being silenced doesn't have an effect (unless ability 2 is active)
Cons
-everyone wants to be physical Gods nowadays
-squishy if not around a tank
-can't tower dive without precision and aegis/[Sanctuary]
-stuns basically mean death
-ult (can) suck
I used to think it was try-hards and professionals only that readied their team for ults and strategic plays (trying to pull gank from side-lane after respawn), and have gotten lucky quite a few times, coordinating my ults today with two completely different joust teams, myself (and teams respectively) totaled five decides in two games and used six different Gods in the process.. One ended at 10:02 due to surrender and the other at 11:xx (can't remember exact on the second.) I'm newer to this game and have always excelled in any competitive sport/game, activity- if there's a trash-talking event, you'd think it was Slim Shady in the flesh... But I've never seen a better oiled machine than what I ran with today, if you CANT learn the voice commands, go buy a 20$ headset.. Your W/L ratio will dramatically change I PROMISE.
Like I said in the first chapter, COORDINATE YOUR ULTIMATE WITH YOUR TEAM don't look at it as kill stealing with Artemis on her ult, let them start attaching and use your third ability if they start to get away.
Both always welcome and are encouraged, hopefully I hit the nail on the head this time and it's easy to follow with enough information and being overbearing. Still new to this, I may have made a few errors as far as page etiquette, but I think I labeled it correctly. Any suggestions or inclusions, feel free to comment with them and I'll edit in credit.

Thank you for not just ignoring a bad build and helping me better myself 😁
So without further ado let me criticize this build.
First item is already a no-no. Even in casual settings. Starting off with just lifesteal and movement speed and no power? Lifesteal scales off of power, so getting lifesteal first without power is basically useless, and if you have a boxing match with another hunter chances are they will beat you with just Warrior Tabi and without lifesteal. I would say get boots earlier then lifesteal, most likely Warrior Tabi instead of Ninja Tabi. You dont want to overcap on attack speed when she already has her steroid on her two.
Transcendence should be built 1st to 2nd to get the stacks up quickly. The quicker you get those stacks online the better you will be in the future. Especially for a late game god like an Artemis. Bloodforge is way expensive and not really needed in this build anyway. You already have Transcendence for power (#1 item for pure power) and Soul Eater for lifesteal (even if there are better options like Asi).
You should REALLY get penetration, in any shape, form or way. Penetration allows you to go through an enemies defenses. And it should be either a Titan's Bane cause its effective and cheap, or The Executioner if your a good shot. And penetration is not just for tanks or guardians. Its also or the mages or assassins and even other hunters. Every god has their own built-in protections that scales every level, so invest some gold into penetration to do some more damage. I would be looking to replace Bloodforge with a penetration item.
Remember that this is a criticism, and not some random hate-speech from "that random guy on the internet". Not everyone is like that, and if I do say so myself, I think Im qualified as an Editor to criticize builds. :)
Soul Eater is for hunters with no escapes (Artemoose)
Asi is for hunters with escapes (Hoe Yi)
also, in general:
don't start with Soul Eater.go Death's Toll w/ boots, Death's Toll with Short Bow or just build straight into devo's.
these are pretty situational tho.
if the hunter you are facing is one who would like to get trans ( Hou Yi, Ullr) getting Short Bow into Ichaival is effective. however, it's not that much effective in other scenarios and just going straight for boots can be more effective, and i wouldn't recommend that strategy unless it's a 2 physical dou/ 2 physical joust.
but getting ichi early on will definitely help you box hunters early on. especially if it's that "I can juke the nerf hammer better than i can actually juke autos in game" god, Hou Yi. (but srsly get it early and sell, will give you a major advantage early on).
Transcendence on Artemis is meh. it's ok, but a penetration item deserves a spot in that build more.
Bloodforge is pretty good in joust actually, since you get online faster. however, quick reminder. don't get it if your behind.
get Warrior Tabi early on, sell later for Ninja Tabi for that extra clear.
so your build should look like this: Warrior Tabi, Ichaival, Soul Eater, The Executioner, Bloodforge, wind demon sell ichi for DB, sell warrior for ninja.
...

You're assuming infamous is going to take this negatively instead of as the constructive feedback you're giving. XD
That said, agreed on all points. Build order with this general build in mind...
Warrior Tabi, Transcendence, Soul Eater, Wind Demon, Titan's Bane, Deathbringer. TB because you are the only physical god on your team, so the protection reduction wouldn't help your teammates...and also because you'd overcap attack speed combining the WD passive and Vengeful Assault, if you got The Executioner instead.
As an alternate example, if you had an assassin teammate to go with a guardian support, you might consider fitting The Executioner in there. At that point, maybe Devourer's Gauntlet as the power/stacking item/lifesteal instead of Transcendence + Soul Eater...maybe something like Devourer's Gauntlet, Warrior Tabi (or reverse order), Ichaival, Wind Demon, The Executioner, Deathbringer...late game sub Ichaival for Qin's Sais (vs. more tanks) or Malice (vs. squishies)...just ideas.
Couple of other things...use double brackets to link to the database, rather than single, and make sure you've got apostrophes where applicable, like Transgressor's Fate, as spelling and punctuation are required for the database. Also, you mention "can't tower dive without precision and aegis/Sanctuary"...you can't tower dive anyway with that...Sanctuary prevents you from taking any other action...so you can use it, take some hits from the tower, and run out...but you won't do anything to that tower, unless you were just soaking damage for your teammates...but boy would that be a waste of the relic.
Also, what's up with your god skill order? It's incomplete...
Finally...I'll say we appreciate the effort you're putting into making the guides. Fit some BB coding into it so it's not just a huge block of grey words. Keep playing, keep learning, and keep looking to improve your guides. Maintain them and update them.
