Introduction

hi there this is my 7th overall guide and its on Bakasura THE GREAT DEVOURER he is a fine jungler but his ganks are not that awesome until he hits lvl 5 and gets his ultimate i will get more into details into this latter on

i will assume that you know the basics of what AA FG GF AD and AP mean as well as AoE MIA CD and CDR but just in case:

AA - Auto Attack

FG - Fire Giant

GF - Gold Fury

AD - Attack Damage

AP/MP - Ability Power/Magic Power

AoE - Area Of Effect

MIA - Missing In Action

CD - Cooldown

CDR - Cool Down Reduction

HP - Hit Points/health bar

MP - Mana Points

HP5 - Health/hit Point Regeneration per 5 sec

MP5 - Mana point regeneration per 5 sec

DoT - Damage Over Time

HoG - hand of gods

Pros / Cons

Pros:

+ great passive Insatiable Hunger has many uses can be used for chase or to run away ect..

+ has a jump Take Down

+ good sustain in the jungle with Eat Minion this also gets stacks for Regurgitate
+ has a passive and active steroid Butcher Bladesonce activated you deal bonus true damage

+ Regurgitate makes out AA a cone and lets us apply on hit effects like quin's Blades in that cone

+ melts players rather quite well with max attack speed true damage crits and quin's blades

+strong mid game

+ Potentially Strong - Very Strong Late Game

Cons:

- Weak Early Game

- Weak ganks before LVL 5 aka before he gains Regurgitate

- cant melt players very fast without getting some attack speed first and until his Butcher Blades are rank 3/4 at 5 its starts getting easy

- often focused and killed when out of position faster then most

- weak to good burst damage or very mobile goods

- Requires good coordination for his ganks to be the most effective as they could be

- must no hesitate to start ganks off with Regurgitate

- often needs Purification Beads to avoid more CC during his ultimate as he is only immune to CC for 1.5 sec or so (down from 3)(was not a needed nerf but it was nerfed anyway)

- Regurgitate can be stopped with CC after 1.5 sec and thus needs good judgment to use well

- must be careful and always aim for the enemy gods with the lowest HP pool

- hates gods faster then him such as Poseidon or Chronos but loves them when he catches them off guard

As you can see you really have a lot more cons then pros but that's because Bakasura has a very high skill Requirement but in return he can OMNONONONOM the enemy quite often if well played

Skills

Passive: Insatiable Hunger:kill things and get movement and attack speed 10% per stack stacking 3 times this is what your early ganks depend on to be good

in general: a good steroid like passive the best part is it works with Hand of the Gods

spell 1: Take Down: this is your jump never waste it to start a fight always save it for running away or to secure a 100% sure kill

Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana.
Cooldown: 12 seconds.

in general: a good escape chase or secure tool max 3rd

spell 2: Eat Minion:you eat a single minion heal your self up and get some bonus protections if the minion had the needed % of HP to buff wield

Cost: 75 mana.
Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 seconds.

in general: a life saver can be used to refresh your passive max 2nd

spell 3: Butcher Blades: great steroid for killing not much else to say gives passive AD and the active adds bonus true damage on each hit for 6sec which is brutal

Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 mana.
Cooldown: 14 seconds.

in general: here is some math at rank 5 its 70 true damage - Reduction Based protection(bacchus passive and plated graves or mark of vanguard) now then with max or near max attack speed you do about 5 attack per 2 sec which means 15 true damage hits or so in general and that means that the enemy will take up to 700 - 950 or so bonus true damage in addition to what you can out put with AA alone and with the ultimate it hits in a cone MAX THIS 1st

spell 4: Regurgitate: you Puke/Barf Out some minions exposing your charming face making your mini me's attack the enemy gods and slowing them with the puke/barf puddle as well as getting a cone shaped AA for a total of 5 sec as you go OMNOMNOMNOMN in there face

Cost: 80/90/100/110/120 mana.
Cooldown: 90 seconds.

in general: this is the sole reason why your a threat cone based AA that can crit and deal true damage and proc on hit effects yeah they hate you also some math for quin's blades
similar to above math for the true damage this does 4% of max HP in damage x number of hits you can in 2 sec do 5 AA = 20% of there HP in 4 sec = 40% of there hp so in general the quins blades can take down around 45% of a targets max HP while in ult add this to the true damage and short cripple and you can sometimes or often 100% - 0% guys max this last only the slow grows with the ult ranks its batter to invest into something else

Items

Here i will explain the items i use and give some other builds as the only thing that changes are a few items and not the whole build but first of all the basic build described above

- Bumba's Mask gives you great early sustain but is not a 100% must on bakasura but i would recommend this for players new to Bakasura as this item makes the jungle easy to clear and sustain through it also gives mana which we like and is very solid option and should be gotten all the time unless you have a very specific tactic

- Ninja Tabi unlike most others Bakasura does not need his pen from Warrior Tabi as he deals true damage(Ignores ALL normal protections but NOT) Reductions) the CDR is a must for us as we need our ultimate up to do the best possible ganks

- The Executioner attack speed and pen we like both so this is a good item to get also in teamfights with our ultimate Regurgitate can reduce the protections on more then 1 target thanks to our cone attacks

-quins blades this item is a main source of extra damage on our build(assuming we land AA)

- Bloodforge this item gives a lot of AD and life steal which can be a life saver

- Rage or Malice both of these give good crit chance i my self like Rage more as with our speed with get stacks twice as fast as others

- Deathbringer this item makes our crits reach 600 - 800 damage per crit and gives good AD and crit chance

this concludes the basic Bakasura that can chomp teams to death really well but there are some other types of bakasura builds that may batter suit your tastes so i will list down some other builds bellow here and explain on what they depend and work with also i know that my above builds does not have a Fatalis which many think is a must on bakasure well it used to be in my build but i needed room for quin's blades and its bonus damage output is just 2 good but that is why i have the rest filled out bellow with some builds that have Fatalis

now i will explain some strange builds that can work for some players

1 - Bumba's Mask for above mentioned sustain and such

2 - Ninja Tabi for above reasons as well we need that CDR

3 - quin's blades or Hastened Fatalis this item is great on bakasura as missing a AA
is hard with your ultimate and this lets you move perfectly fine for 1 sec while Auto Attacking as long as they hit which means your much harder to run away from you also get good movement speed

4 - here would go the item you did not get from above so either the Hastened Fatalis or quin's blades depending on what you got 3rd

5 - Frostbound Hammer this item slows on all AA which is great for you this item is optional you may not need it if you get the above Hastened Fatalis but the combo of the 2 is great for isolation or catching targets as they cant get away from you without a dash/jump/stun the next items are to go a bit tanky and have a batter HP pool it also works Regurgitate

6 - Bulwark of Hope great item gives HP and protections as well as a life saving passive

7 - Sovereignty - lots of HP protectons and the passive gives us and the team more protections so it benefits the whole team

the above build works according to this logic the 700 - 950 true damage + the 40% or so HP based damage from quin's blades + the base damage of 100 - 250 damage AA can kill the important targets even without crits and life steal and can still do heavy stuff to tanks so they build items that make it simpler to land AA to that they dont miss any of the true damage and quin's blades procs and survive some focus if it comes to that but with the large HP pool they can survive normal spells unless its like 3 spells from every 1 and that its a 50+ min game and if they waste all there spells on you the team can have a great initiation and fight while there spells are down ect... like a suicidal diversion

in case of heavy healers you may replace a item you find not need in the build with a Brawler's Beat Stick as you can apply it to many targets at once with Regurgitate and its cone based AA effect

Actives

1 - Hand of the Gods for clearing buff camps and securing objectives late game or it can be made into a first of the gods for stuns

2 - Purification Beads you need these 75% of the time as its a vital active for you to either avoid some CC or to not get CC mid Ult

3 - Sprint this can be used as a additional steroid to your ultimate as it removes the slowing while attacking debuff just like Hastened Fatalis but for 6 sec which means you can use this instead of the Fatalis Hastened Fatalis in your builds and get more damage/tank/utility items

4 - Eye of Providence you would like to have this for its free wards but in case you need the above actives you will have to ask your team to help with some wards as you will use any extra gold on normal wards or a singe Sentry Ward depending on what the team needs more or if you need 2 counter ward something

the above are the only really worth it actives for Bakasura as those are the ones he needs the most

The Great Devourer and You (this covers how you play)

Early Game: you start of with Eat Minion grab mid neutrals with the team get red buff for your self and blue for the solo/duo then grab the small neutral camps and go towards the other lane and there buffs or gank mid if possible in general the real ganks start at LVL 5 when we get Regurgitate

now then i will explain how to gank the right way when initiating with Regurgitate on a lane:

1. Cast Butcher Blades as you move into the lane behind the enemy god

2. Make Sure you have some minions for the Regurgitate this part is important dont underestimate what 6 of these guys do at LVL 5

3. Make Sure to land Regurgitate for its slow and cripple effect

4. Land as many AA as you can within the duration of Regurgitate

5. if they somehow live go ahead and use Take Down to finish them and if there still alive hit a AA and they should die if they don't then its because we lack the speed to put out enough true damage

this is the most important of all things to learn as Bakasura proper usage and aim of the cone shaped AoE from Regurgitate and in general this is what you do in all situations this is what makes you scary in a teamfight and in a gank when Regurgitate is down your teamfight power also goes very down

mid game:chose a victim to focus ganks on and keep up the good work killing the enemy when ganking without Regurgitate time your AA and steroid with CC or a initiation from the lane your ganking

late game:your like a 1 trick pony the above tactic is pretty much your strongest point and going with other things is not advised unless feed or with your whole team and with a lot of CC in general its all about you killing the carry from the other team with your damage output which is really high ect... the rest comes with experience and cant be learned though words

About Golden Bow

since Golden Bow can now only hit 1 target once per splash we no longer get it on Bakasura before his ult could trigger 4- 8 procs of it at once and deal insane mega damage with it but this was changed and with it this item lost a lot of output and use for us it can still add quite some damage but not as much as before ( you see before it was 4 - 8 at once depending on how many things you hit/gods/minions/pets and during your ult you could do 10 hits easy so that made it 40+ procs and you see were this went)

but this was sadly fixed so its no longer as good as it was but still adds a good 400 - 1200 damage if your hitting a lot of targets and in a minion wave with a crit build

Summary

Bakasura is a very hard to play well god that can have amazing damage output and ganks but is very dependent on good judgement to play well as using Regurgitate to early(run away) or to late(you die before they do) can result in a death i hope my Bakasura guide was to your liking and that it helps
