Heyas! This is FerrumSlash!
Sooo this will be another guide of mine, this time for Cabrakan, Destroyer of Mountains!
Bear in mind that the guide is not the Holy Bible, so you can freely adapt your playstyle after reading this guide.
If you need information for crowd control (which is Cabrakan's world, considering he's a guardian), feel free to check my guide to cc.
CC - Lifesaver, Roflstomper, Whatever
Pros :
- All skills contain CC
- Great damage and waveclear for a tank.
- Free percentage-based damage reduction for allies.
- Amazing zoning capabilities.
- Flexibility and utility
Unlike most tanks, ALL of his skills provide damage AND cc (the other one would be Sobek). His waveclear is safer and less clunky than Sobek, even. And his passive makes him a great lane partner.
And his passive. His passive is not one that hinders enemies or buffs yourself. It's a FREE damage reduction for allies, making it a somewhat free Sovereignty (albeit with less range)
He has amazing zoning capabilities with 2 of his skills : His 3 and ultimate. This gives enemies a hard time in moving around and limits their options.
With his kit, he is able to flexibly build between tanky and bruiser, while not reducing his effectiveness.
Cons :
- Clunky escape, his escape being only a speed buff
- Relatively poor initiate, reliant on blink
- 3rd ability makes him stationary.
- Passive usage might be exploited.
- Ultimate might hinder team
Like Ares, Cabrakan's escape is pretty clunky. He might need the help of speed modifiers (ex. sprint or Combat Blink to get out of sticky situations.
His speed buff, is, without blink, his only form of initiate, which is very predictable.
His 3rd ability roots him in place. This makes him susceptible to skill-shots and hard-hitting skills. ( Rama's ultimate, Vulcan's ultimate, etc.)
Allies wanting to utilize his passive might stay close to Cabrakan. The enemy might exploit this by placing a well-placed area-of-effect skill.
Your ultimate, like Ymir's first skill, might hinder allies when used improperly.
Passive : Shadow Zone
His passive, Shadow Zone, provides a 5% damage reduction for allies in a 30ft radius around Cabrakan. It's a great passive all-around, simple and useful. This passive is most useful for covering your lane partner (ADCs especially, your lane partner in Siege might count too). It also works wonders in Joust and Arena as well. Watch out for that Ymir blinking and freezing you all though!
Teaming with Cabrakan means free damage reduction and amazing zoning capabilities, and 2 medias of stuns to make sure your skills hit.
Some gods that mesh well with Cabrakan :
- Vulcan : Hard-hitting skillshot and his turrets are relatively safe if covered by Cabrakan.
- Zeus : Round up enemies with Cabrakan and place a Lightning Storm over his head.
-/ Kukulkan : This team has an amazing zoning potential. Whirlwind provides effective zoning, and Cabrakan's massive cc makes sure that the hard-hitting ulti lands.
- Xbalanque : Xbalanque's free Golden Bow will make short work of enemies once they're all zoned in on Cabrakan
And many more you can think of, really. His kit is pretty versatile.
In his current state, Cabrakan may as well be a decent magical bruiser.
This is why i don't give him a full build.
You can refer to the top of the page for example builds.
Defensive items :
1. Sovereignty
This item, coupled with your passive, reduces allies' damage even more. A handy asset in teamfights.
2. Mystical Mail
Also a good choice for magical bruiser Cabrakan, the aura will help damage the enemies as well as provide physical protection.
3. Breastplate of Valor
A decent supply of mana, good physical protection, and provides cooldown reduction to boot. Overall an amazing item.
4. Bulwark of Hope
A good source of magical protection, and a decent passive to make you survive longer, this is usually the go-to for magical defense.
5. Hide of the Urchin
Provides all-around guardian necessary stats. Health, mana, physical and magical protections.
6. magi's blessing
This item's passive is a godsend. Cabrakan doesn't have built-in cc-reduction/immunity, so having this item on-hand is very, very useful.
7. Void Stone
My choice of magical defense in bruiser Cabrakan, it provides decent magical power and protection, while also giving you (and your ally maages) penetration.
8. Stone of Gaia
It provides massive magical protection, and the passive is quite nice, too.
9. Heartward Amulet
A new season 2 item, it's essentially a Magical version of Sovereignty. With this item combined with it and Cabrakan's passive, it's essentially 3 auras.
- Initiating with blink is a great way to get into a fight. Without blink, your initiate would be only a predictable (and rather useless at lower levels) speed buff.
- Try not to killsteal or last hit minions.(in game modes like conquest, by the way). Your ADC needs exp more than you. That's why you get Watcher's Gift. This is especially true for Cabrakan since all his skills deal damage.
- Mind enemy and team positioning. A well-placed Tremors or Tectonic Shift will help you and your team a lot. It cancels ganks, zones, saves teammates, and maybe yourself. Bad positioning means setting yourself up for a hard-hitting skillshot.
Cabrakan is an amazing tank with an amazing playstyle. But be careful. His kit will either help or hinder allies, depending on how you and your allies act.
Thank you for reading this guide. I hope this guide gives you a better insight in playing Cabrakan and kicking *** with the Destroyer of Mountains!

I'd add an example build btw, so that the people that are unfamiliar with this kind of stuff understand as well :P
I'll go do that.
Appreciate the review, Pentar.
Well done mate!
As far as information goes it's very nice, and i quite like
the minimalistic design.
Domo arigato, m8.
FYI, it's not my intention for it to be minimalistic....

As for the BBCoding itself, if i use them, that's only make my guide look worse :( It happened on my first guide, see.
This is the only Real guide in that group spawned from the giveaway start, it's complete in all way and well made, with good and easy to understand explanation of skills / items. Good Job =)
Thanks for the feedback :)
It's still missing Tips and Tricks and a gameplay section. I'll be working on it soon.
