Introduction

Welcome to my first ever guide on SmiteFire.
I'm happy to introduce you to Chaac's Mighty Axe.

Ever since i started playing smite Chaac has been my to go with agressive solo laner. I'm not the best player yet (been lvl 30 for couple months now) so i wont add league content since i havn't played it yet.

Guide making is quite new to me, but i'll do my best to create a clear Chaac guide. I also have to say that I am from the Netherlands, my english wont be perfect. Feel free to correct me if needed (and it will).

Let me introduce Chaac:

If you haven't played Chaac before, here is some basic info:

- Chaac is a warrior with high damage poke and mobility.
- High sustain with Rain Dance ( his 3).
- Extreamly usefull kit with his damage, poke, sustain, slow and silence.

Pros / Cons

Pros

- Strong overall damage
- Very strong earlygame poke
- Gamechanging ultimate with high damage
and silence
- Great sustain
- Usefull passive to poke without using mana
- Very mobile with his 1 and 2 combo + slow

Cons

- High cooldowns
- Slow abillities, easy to dodge
- Need to auto attack in order to use passive
- No hard CC (crowd controle) except ult.

Skills

Overflow After hitting 5 succesful basic attacks your next abillity will cost no mana. This is KEY in Chaac his kit, it allows you to poke or heal for free. This passive makes his poke and sustain insane, you will never run out of mana. Feel free to spam your abillitys thanks to this amazing passive.

Thunder Strike This is your long range poke abillity with insane damage early to midgame. Thunder Strikeworks perfect with al your other abillities. It lets you dash to your ax location using Torrent and it applies the slow effect of Rain Dance. This abillity is very unique in the game with it's high poke damage and range. It's great to finishing off a kill or clearing the wave. This is the abillity we want to max out first.

Torrent Chaac spins with his mighty ax damaging everything around him. This abillity doesn't have the best damage stats and the protection it gives isn't a big deal. What makes this abillity important? Well you can dash to the location of your ax. You can use this to chase or escape through walls. Be careful on how to use this combo. The enemy will see your ax on the ground and know you will dash to this location. This abillity will be maxed out last.

Rain DanceAfter activating this abillity you will gain health and apply a 6 second slow surrounding yourself and the location of your axe. This wil give you the needed sustain (health regen) to bully people out of lane or help you and your team to escape.

Finally Chaac his ult Storm Call. This is what allows him to do what Chaac does best, slaughtering everyone with his ax after applying damage and a huge silence that will affect everyone around him. While in the air Chaac will be immune to CC. When he first uses Thunder Strike and then activates Storm Call when in range from his ax Storm Call will get more damage and apply a knock-up. This abillity will be leveled whenever you can.

Items

Warriors are all about sustain and damage. In order to get the needed defencive stats you need and still do plenty of damage to carry your team you need the correct items. Warrior/solo lane is one of the harder lanes to carry games consistent. Correct item builds allow you to start the teamfights realy strong, especially with Chaac.

Starter active

This will help you take the early mana (blue) buff very fast. It also helps with clearing the waves and pushing your lane opponent.

I dont recommend you using a different first active then Hand of the Gods.

1st complete item

This item is very situational, there are 3 strong first items in my opinion.

You can get cwarrior tabi first, it gives some nice earlygame stats. Move speed, attack speed and some penetration. This could be a solid pick when playing an easy lane or when your opponent doesn't poke you. I like to get this against Vamana.

Hide of the Urchin is the item I rush 8/10 games. It gives very strong early defencive stats and these stats will keep improving, it gives +2 physical and magical protection with a total of 10 stacks. This wil give you 65 physical and magical protection in 1 item. This is probably one of the best items you can get on a warrior.

Stone of Gaia is the best item to rush when playing against a mage in almost every situation. It gives a lot of magical protection and health. The HP and MP regen on Stone of Gaia gives you so much basic regen this in combination with Rain Dance will allow you to take poke from these annoying solo lane mages.

2nd item

This one is the easiest of them all. If you started with Warrior Tabithen you should pick one of the defencive items above. If you started with Hide of the Urchin, you should get Warrior Tabi.

3th item

gin's sais is the damage item you wil get 9/10 times. It gives very solid stats and is one of the most important items on Chaac. It gives 25% attackspeed, this allows you to make more use of your passive. The passive on Qin's Sais is what makes this item so strong, the longer a game will continue the more you will make use of it's passive dealing more damage the more health your opponents have.

If needed you can build Hide of the Urchin or Stone of Gaia as 3th item if you need more defencive stats. I dont recommend you getting a 3th physical defencive item. This is because at this stage teamfights will begin to start, you are going to need a lot of magical protection to survive the fights.

4th item
At this point you are going to make a decission. Do i need to get more defencive or damage items.

What does your team need?

When you are losing i would suggest taking extra defencive items.
When you are winning you can go damage or defencive, depending on how you play.

Defencive items

Hide of the Nemean Lion gives tons of physical protection and some health. Hide of the Nemean Lion is a very strong pick against heavy basic attack teams thanks to it's passive.

Mystical Mail gives some nice basic defencive stats. It's passive is what makes this item good. Allowing you to do 40 magic damage every second to enemies within 25 units. When charging Storm Call you will do some extra damage. This is a defencive item I realy like thanks to it's passive.

Ancile provides some damage and decent magical protection. It's passive is what makes this item a viable choice. You will gain +0.5 damage and 0.25% CDR (cool down reduction) per stack. That is a total of 30 damage and 15% CDR. These are some realy strong stats when fully stacked when playing against a heavy magical team.

Witchblade is a very very good choice when playing against a heavy basic attack team, especially when you use it in combination with Hide of the Nemean Lion. It counters basic attack champions and gives you more move and attack speed + some physical protection.

Runeforged Hammer is very strong against a heavy physical damage team thanks to it's passive. It's a cheap item and gives some good basic stats.

Damage items

Jotunn's Wrath is rated as one of the best damage items for warriors with it's strong basic stats. I realy recommend this as your 4th item if you dont need defencive stats. What makes Jotunn's Wrath special is the passive that gives you 25% CDR witch can be huge in teamfights or other situations. Alowing you to heal more ofter and alows you to spam Thunder Strike.

Rage gives some nice damage and 30% critical strike chance. The passive on Rage allows for you to crit more often. Best crit chance item in the game.

Deathbringer gives you some solid damage and crit chance. The passive is what makes Deathbringer worth it's costs. It brings + 50% crit damage on every crit. This in combination with Rage will allow you to slaughter everyone.

Actives
What actives should you get? Not only items can change games actives can to !

Wrath of the Gods IS A MUST HAVE ! this allowes you to steal the fire giant and gold fury. You can do this because of the passive.

Fist of the Gods is a good active because of the stun, it gives your kit some more CC. I personally like Wrath of the Gods more. Fist of the Gods can be realy handy when chasing sameone in the jungle.

Combat Blink this is a very nice active to chase or surprise sameone. It gives you a lot of ganking potention to the midlane. You also can use Combat Blink to get in a teamfight and use ur combo to kill people !! Witch is realy fun to do.

Shielded Teleport is by far my most used second active in the game. I love the pressure it brings to the enemy team. You can teleport almost everywhere on the map if your team places wards so you can contest in teamfights. It allows you to splitpush realy hard and still being able to help in fights.

Skill combos

All in combo
---> ---> ---> ---> AA ---> AA --->

Escape combo
---> --->

Chace combo
---> --->

You can use Combat Blink at the start of al those combos.

Early Game

When playing Chaac early game is key to win your game. In the early game all you should focus on is farm, farm and farm. Ofcours you have to bully your opponent out of lane, in my opinion pushing them under the tower should be your focus. Why? This has 2 parts to it. 1, your opponent wil miss a lot of gold and xp. 2, you will start to do little bits of damage to the tower, and that is why my Chaac is al about TAKING OBJECTIVES.Around the 10minute mark you will be able to take your first tower (i have it around 8 mostly), if your jungler ganks your lane lets say around 6/8 minutes you can almost always take a free tower for it. This gives you a kill or assist, gold from the tower and it will help your team gain more gold and win their lanes.

Midgame

Midgame is about farming, roaming and taking objectives. At this point i suggest you have teleportation tier 1 (or higher). You can always split push or pressure the enemy team. You can go and win those teamfights and take more objectives out of this. Try to contest all the gold fury and if you are winning hard try and get a fast fire giant.

Long story short, you won your lane help your team win their lane and get atleast al tier 1 towers + 1 or 2 gold fury.

Midgame, at this point chaac is at his strongest. He is almost unkillable and does tons of damage. He has one of the best scalings in the midagme. When teamfighting in the midgame pick their carry (magic or physical) and zone them out. With zoning out i mean KILL THEM ALL !! Win the teamfight an keep on doing what chaac does best. slaughtering people.

Lategame

Lategame Chaac is realy strong, his burst isn't so insane compared to the midgame but he still does tons of damage.
He stil has good damage but this is not game changing compared to the mage or hunter.
At this point a well organized teamfight is needed to win the game.

When teamfighting zone out the biggest treat to your team. Get those big ults of and silence them all. Now go and kill people, your team should be able to do some good damage to. Every teamfight is different so keep practicing those. Teamfights in bronze are a lot different then those in gold or higher. Simply because bronze players dont know how to teamfight correctly and gold players do.

After winning a teamfight you have to make decissions. What do i do now? Take towers, gold fury or firegiant. I suggest you take the firegiant whenever you can and prioritise gold fury over towers unless you can win the game or push up to a FENIX.

What i realy like and enjoy to do is split pushing, this helps me win and carry games. Taking towers while your team is stalling/baiting the enemy somewhere. This requiers teamwork in order to win games. You will need wards and Shielded Teleport to split push correctly.

How to split push?

There are 3 different times when you can split push.
When split pushing keep in mind that you wont be in position to help your team. It can win or lose the game. I suggest you practice this in normale games before going in league and split push.

1. When your team is fighting.
You can decide to help them fight or push a lane. Why would you push a lane when your team is 1 man short in fights. The answer is very simple, you can get free towers/objectives. When you split push the enemy will send 1 or 2 enemies in order to stop you from split pushing. All of the sudden your team is fighting a 4vs4 or a 4vs3, while you were able to take a tower. This means a great gold adventage from 1 split push if everything goes your way.

2. When you team is pushing a lane.
Your team doesn't have to fight in order to split push. If your team is pushing left lane you can go split push mid or right lane. This will create the same situation as in point 1. You will split the enemy team while being able to take objectives get kills and overal more gold. The enemy always has to make a choice who is going to stop who from pushing. Mostly they send the wrong person to stop you and you can take a kill + tower making more room for pushing and fighting.

3. Split pushing when losing.
This one is the hardest of them all, if your team keeps losing teamfights with you in the team fight split pushing will be hard. You can only split push when your team is NOT fighting. If you still want to split push when losing because it can help you win the game or atleast gain some extra gold communicate this to your team. They have to know you will split and that they SHOULD NOT FIGHT. If they do you will lose the game at that point.

I hope you guys understand split pushing more and that it may help you win games.

Easy lane opponents

If you start with Stone of Gaia Ra can't poke/force you out of lane. You can push harder and poke better, he will run out of mana where you can use Overflow to keep poking him. Easy match.

Vamana is a very easy warrior to play against. He doest have a good waveclear until lvl 6/7 or so. His sustain comes from his ult and doesn't heal much. You can be 100% agressive at lvl 2/3 on him. Very fun to play against.

Sun Wukong is a very easy matchup just like vamana, not much sustain and not a great waveclear. Bully him out of lane and take the first tower under 10mins.

He Bo is probably the easiest of them all. Start with Stone of Gaia and poke him out of lane. He Bo is a close combat mage with not much early game damage. Easy lane :)

Average lane opponents

Hercules will have more waveclear until lvl 4/5. He is a warrior with very strong stats, after lvl 6 you will be stronger until the late game. This matchup just depends on how good you are with Chaac

Nu Wais very strong overall, she has nice base stats and very strong skills. She has a lot of waveclear and lane pressure. Be sure to play this one safe and smart. Again it depends on your skill with chaac if you can win this or not.

Aphrodite is a 50/50 lane, she can heal just as good with a strong waveclear. Aphrodite won't kill you, killing her will be tough. This is basically a farm lane.

Difficult lane opponents

Chang'e is the only mage i have troubles dealing with. I almost never get the lane advantage. Play this one realy safe and focus on waveclear.

Thanks for reading

If you made it this far I want to thank you for reading my guide.

I hope you understand Chaac a little better, and that you will start dominating in conquest.

I don't agree much with einherier (sorry for that) it's beginner friendly but that's most of it. (also a note to keep in mind that I played chaac different and haven't played him much since the introduction of Ancile)

I will go from top to bottom skipping the build skill order till the skill and item sections (only thing I noticed is that you accidentally used Combat Boots instead of warrior's tabi)

the introduction and the pros & cons are pretty good.

skills the lvling is good. and the information on them too.

(Combo's should be before items because it's more logical to discuss the skills further then change to a different subject) This is the point I disagree a lot on. first the chase and esacpe combo. they are pretty much the same because using torment without an axe in the ground is useless and also never throw your axe in front of you for the torment because your axe is too slow (by the time it hits the ground you are almost past it).

your all in combo is one of the worst combo's (especially when you have Greater Blink or Combat Blink up) the all in combo is a combination of the ult combo and your torment and Rain Dance. Chaac's ult is only classified as OP when you have the knockup and bonus damage. So you should never ult when you aren't near your axe (the ult combo is Thunder Strike-(blink when you have it)- Storm Call) after that torment and rain storm.

now items (a fun part):
I will start with your stater items.
I agree on a lot of them but in the whole build it's the HoG I disagree with. this is an item you would only need (you recommend building it to WoG which the support should get) if you are playing jungle chaac or support chaac. Or if you have such a bad clear in lane that you need it. If your only purpose is for stealing the FG or GF (which a team fight should evolve so your support would also be close) you are kinda wasting a active slot because your support has it too and normally even earlier then you. The FoG stun is a bit short for chaac to do some good damage.

well now I'm going on with the actives.
I already talked about HoG (etc) so I will continue to blink. I normally like Greater Blink more because the cooldown is shorter allowing you to quickly jump in the middle of their team 1-4-2-3 combo and in the next teamfight doing it again (because combat is still on cooldown by that time and greater normally not (with it's 45 sec CD))
I can see the use of the Shielded Teleport It's a good item but normally the alternative Teleport to Gods is more useful because you can instantly help an ally in trouble. problem with that one is the long CD making it a bad item.
I still wonder why both Greater Purification or one of the aegisses isn't mentioned. beads is almost a must and aegis is also a good item.

well on items when you are against a warrior:
yeah solo lane has too different sections since the warrior nerf the lane against a warrior and the lane against a mage.

well I agree on the first 2 items but I normally finish boots first because the movement speed makes a big difference when you get ganked. unless there whole team is physical then I would take mystical right from the start XD (this happens sometimes). and stone in full magical team

I don't agree much on the 3rd item. yes quin's is a core item. but this will mostly be usefull in late game compared to early game. I myself normally take Jotunn's Wrath mostly because of the CDR and with the pen your poke hurts even more (and is more throw able). oh and it gives more damage against towers (because towers have physical protection and quin's passive is only against gods). (also jotunn is a core item in my build)

4th item is definitely going to be quin's

as 5th item I normally like to get some more protections. depending on team I normally choose shifter shield, Stone of Gaia, Mystical Mail (you can figure out when to take them)

6th item for me this item is the hardest to pick. depending on how it good I would choose between defensive and offensive items. and this then goes from pen ( The Executioner or brawler's beatstick sometimes Titan's Bane) to even lifesteal (this is more trolly but sometimes helpful). also this is the only place where runeforged hamer would be picked depending on my items.

items against a mage:
not a lot of change but you would see Ancile sooner then urchin because of the cooldown and then jotunn's changes to titan's.

well on gameplay:
there are some mistakes here in early game:
you say that when people are pushed under tower they lose money and xp. that would be so fun if this was true. sadly it's only true for 50% they only lose gold they will still gain xp (oh and if they kill them before the tower hits they still get gold)

in mid game the information isn't wrong but you won't always have won your lane (you win your lane if the first tower is down giving you space to roam a bit) also while roaming if you wander to far (without teleport) you can give your 1st tier tower away because you can't get back on time. also the power spike is real.

in late game GF isn't worth as much as a tower or phoenix the GF gives gold but so does towers and the towers are getting you closer to the victory. the amount of gold is the same. Also the hunter or jungler can solo the GF by now so let them take gf while your pushing the tower. GF is a different story grab it while you can for better pushing.

nice explanation of split pushing. but sometimes it's too risky because if there is a 4v5 teamfight and they are winning they will first kill your team and then cme for you and this can give them a tower and maybe a fg.

matchups (yay the fun part):
I miss a lot of match ups here but it's understandable (also why do i miss another chaac).

from hardest to easiest:
I haven't played solo against a change yet so I can't say much about her.

aphro is annoying but not as annoying as Hel (healers are just a pain in the *** even with brawler's beatstick

I haven't seen a Nu Wa in solo lane yet.

Hercules I agree on him these 2 are normally pretty close to each other 1 mistake can be decisive on who wins the lane.

vamana isn't that good as chaac in solo but he can be annoying

sun wukong is a lot better then you think. he can farm and poke better with his cuddle then you can with your axe. (mostly the difference in speed)

he bo can be annoying because he is ranged. the only problem he has is that his water jets are pretty bad but he can be a bit more difficult then you think.

okay your putting Ra really low. if you have a good Ra you will notice you can put him in your hard category. because of the warrior nerf ra is now one of the best solo laners (he is 1st tier and chaac is 2nd i believe).
well you are probably wondering why? Well if ra is poking you (with abilities) it isn't a good ra. ra is pretty dangerous especially with blue and after mid game (the moment he got mana sustain your going to have a hard time). Ra has better wave clear then you. and what a good ra shall do is going to outpush you. if he pokes you in the progress he is doing a pretty good job or you are bad at dodging his 1. if you decide to use your 1 for poking he will surely outpush you because you need to basic attack to clear the wave. (oh and a full CDR RA can clear with his ult)

and the beggist problem giving ra the tier 1 status is his heal. in early game he will be more focused on farming and clearing the wave but at the end when his heal starts to do some good healing he will get even more dangerous. the heal is what makes him so strong he can push so well about it. the reason ra normally wins the lane is because the heal can sustain the (big) minions while under tower allowing a whole minion wave to kill your tower while he goes back to the middle of the lane or his tower if your jungler comes.

also for a lot of junglers he is so annoying because of the slow of his 2 he can pretty easy escape most junglers because they get slowed so hard.

and part 3 of why he is so dangerous is poking him as chaac is really hard to do. the moment ra has his boots he gets a lot more speed and with the speed of the passive it's really easy to dodge Thunder Strike

oh and the last thing is again his heal. the moment when you or the jungler try to 1v1 ra he can put down his heal healing himself and damaging you (or the jungler)

well to end this your bbcoding is basic but good enough so it's not necessary to improve it but it will score more points.
also you forgot to tell the warding positions and to always buy wards when you back (or when to back).

Also remember you don't need to agree with my review it's just for help. there are always points people see different. so feel free to discuss things.

(and this (according to word) 5 page review is done XD)

Thanks, will be working on the map soon. If you have questions about Chaac feel free to pm me.
