Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
SMITEFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new god, or fine tune your favorite SMITE gods’s build and strategy.

I don't feel as relevant in a match if I delay Chronos' Pendant but I also don't want to stack too late in the match.
Book of Thoth brings a ton of power that works well with Janus' high scaling though, and can really put some added damage into his ability chains.
As of now, proposed build after Mage's Blessing and Lost Artifact is:
Shoes of the Magi
Chronos' Pendant
Book of Thoth
Obsidian Shard
.....Situational
.....Situational
So start: Magic Shoes, Lost Artifact, 1 Mana Potion or 1 Multi Potion
Or: Mage's Blessing, Lost Artifact, 2x Healing Potion and 2x Mana Potion.
Full Build: Shoes of the Magi, Chronos' Pendant, Soul Gem, Obsidian Shard, Soul Reaver, situational ( Rod of Tahuti or Divine Ruin).
But experiment and see what suits you best.
In this case, it's the already brought up double stacking situation. Kriega has a good point about Warlock's Staff being unnecessary due to his mobility. DV-8, you countered with the concept being strictly for damage potential...which I can understand, but also feel that there are perhaps better ways to go about that damage. Being a bit of devil's advocate here.
Upon feedback and experimentation, I don't think I prefer this route anymore. I like to be more active in the early/middle stages and take advantage of Janus' superb utility. I have made the builds more comprehensive, and you should find them more agreeable now.
Thanks for the feedback!
Here is what you should build instead: Shoes of the Magi, Chronos' Pendant, Soul Gem, Divine Ruin, Obsidian Shard, Soul Reaver.
If you really had to Keep Warlock's Staff I would build: Warlock's Staff, Shoes of the Magi, Chronos' Pendant, Divine Ruin, Obsidian Shard, Soul Reaver.
If you don't need anti-heal (which you will in most games) then swap Divine Ruin for Spear of Desolation.
I recommend you check out the builds that some pros like Wlfy use for Janus in ranked listed in Build 2 of Tlaloc's guide: https://www.smitefire.com/smite/guide/janus-the-2-faced-bastard-s5-18045

The builds will be noted though.
I tried the builds you suggested by the way. They felt nice. I think I like that early Chronos' Pendant on him for more ults. I just need more practice with Soul Gem.
Thanks, again!
