Choose Warrior's Blessing or Mage's Blessing, a healing chalice, and some health pots for your starter. Then for your starting relic, choose either Purification Beads or Aegis depending on which enemy god's you need to counter. However, if you are on Conquest playing Solo Lane, choose Teleport Glyph.
Buying Mystical Mail and Spirit Robe can be switched, it's strictly situational.
If you are facing God(s) that heal a lot, trade Ancile for Pestilence. If Pestilence still isn't stopping enough healing at the end of the game, trade The Crusher for Brawlers Beat stick.
This late in the game, you may or may not still need Aegis or Purification Beads. Don't count it out quite yet, but the other 4 Relics are very good with him as well.
Hey guys, thanks for checking out my Cu Chulainn guide. It's my 1st guide, and I tried to make it as good as I could to help you guys out. Cu Chulainn is one of my favorite god's and being a Computer, PS4, and XBOX One player, I can say this guide works pretty well. I am aware that I could perhaps have added Frostbound Hammer and/or a few other items, but I feel that those items are not super important for him and could be used for better items. Please give me a thumbs up and leave comments if you missed anything. If this helped, I may create more guides for other gods in the future.
Cu Chulainn is a Warrior of the Celtic pantheon. He is very unique however. He is a physical damage, melee god who, unlike all other god's, does not use mana whatsoever. Cu Chulainn uses rage. Rage is interesting and never completely depletes, allowing Cu Chulainn a lot potential to very rarely have to retreat back to the fountain. Rage starts at 25 and will slowly regain back up to 25 on it's own at a rate of 1 rage per 5 seconds if you drop below it 25. However, you gain rage quite fast if you use his abilities, other than "Vent Anger". His abilities used on minions or gods allow him to gain rage much faster than normal. Every hit of a basic attack you make grants 1 rage and all damage you receive grants .5 rage to him. At 85 rage or above, Cu Chulainn will transform into a huge rage monster or "berserk mode" and will be granted a whole new set of ability, extra damage, and extra protection. The more damage you take in berserk mode, the longer you will be in berserk mode. To be good with Cu Chulainn, you need to a learn to manage your rage wisely. You don't want to go berserk for no reason, so it is important to keep an eye on your rage.
Pros:
-No mana
-Good Crowd Control
-High Damage
-2 sets of abilities due to berserk form.
Cons:
-No form of sustain in his kit
-Berserk mode has to be built up and can't happen right away.
-Berserk mode only lasts for 20 seconds.(Unless taking a lot of damage which extends it for a short while depending on how much damage you receive.
Calm mode:
1: Barbed Spear- Barbed spear is a line attack that when hitting a enemy god, it reduces 50% of all healing for a short period of time. It is Cu Chulainn's strongest ability, other than his ultimate, Spear of Mortal Pain. It also grants rage to Cu Chulainn more rage upon hitting minions and/or enemy gods.
2: Vent Anger- Vent Anger allows for you to release rage in the form of a AOE tick damage ability, just like the item "Mystical Mail" does. Using Vent Anger gives Cu Chulainn a small speed buff of 5% and is the key ability to release rage when it is not time to go berserk,
3: Salmon's Leap- Salmon's Leap is a leaping ability that allows Cu Chulainn to vault forward for a short distance and grants him more rage upon hitting minions or enemy gods. This ability is Cu Chulainn's 2nd strongest ability, other than his ultimate. (When timing this ability correctly, you can jump over enemy abilities."
4: Spear of Mortal Pain- Cu Chulainn swings his spear (Gae Bulg) in a wide circle around him, knocking all enemy gods in the area into the air and causing damage. This ability also grants Cu Chulainn more rage upon hitting minions or enemy gods.
Berserk Mode:
Note: In berserk mode, Cu Chulainn does not gain or lose any rage for using his abilities. The only limitation with his berserk form is the timer on it.
1: Ground Slam- Cu Chulainn slams the ground with his massive arms and preforms a line attack that stuns all enemy gods and minions for 2 seconds and causes damage.
2: Vent Anger- Just like in his calm mode, Cu Chulainn puts out an AOE tick damage ability, much like the "Mystical Mail" does. However, in rage mode, it does not run out and is going continuously.
3: Furious Charge- Cu Chulainn dashes forwards, pushing all enemy gods and minions back, much like Hercules' "Driving Strike". The ability also does damage... Obviously.
4: War Cry- Cu Chulainn gives a loud yell, dealing damage and causing enemies to tremble.

About your guide in general, little extra information is given when explaining abilities. Perhaps explain a bit more when certain abilities should be utilized. Explaining your skill order a bit more may help some beginner players as well.
