Quick builds for Shiva release, some notes on how to play him make sure when you ult you use your 2 on the first and third hits of your ult and just play aggro when your passive is in the destruction stance and passive when its in the bliss stance.

It's definitely viable but as a solo there are usually better tools to dive with IMO.

Biggie,

So, 1) you know I'm not a good player, and 2) I'm definitely not a solo main. That said, I played my first game w/ Shiva, and it was in Conq. I have some comments after that first game, mostly just thoughts.
  • Firstly, he's really fun. I thought his CDs would feel longer, but they feel pretty low, and that's even before picking up BoV.

  • Bluestone felt good. That said, I did feel a bit weak w/ BoV rushed. I used your main example build, but didn't go Cad, got Mantle instead, and then finished with BBS because I wanted more damage and got lazy, didn't look, and figured to counter some enemy healing, which there wasn't much of, lol. I should have gone HS. I'd be curious to see how SE feels, and the next time I try him, I'll try that. (edit: I played my 2nd game, and I went SE into BoV. I was facing another Shiva of course, and we just sort of sat there hitting each other and not dying. It was pretty boring.)

  • His healing feels weak, and that's starting in his ult w/ 2's amplification of the 1. Granted, enemy team had BBS, Divine, etc. I didn't get Cad for that reason, and am not sure how worth Cad is though I guess the numbers are decent and in the off chance the enemy doesn't build anti-heal, it's probably pretty good. I dunno.

Yeah I went for caduceus shield in the first build just because it has nice base stats and slight application for his ult, the last 2 items being Cad/Mantle could be swapped for Nemean/Amulet of the Stronghold which would make you far tankier but I feel a bit of power is nice where possible.

I still need to do more testing but so far the best feeling builds have been Infused Sigil if you can get to late game without the early sustain. Soul Eater is great for early aggro however Shiva feels at his strongest in a teamfight if he is tanky enough to just hit his base damages and CC safely rather than out trading with sheer power like say a Wukong or a Chaac. The main build has been my most successful though, Bluestone/BoV just gives you a lot of pressure for free.

Death's Toll I've just been out traded hard against any Shiva going Bluestone Pendant, if I get a match playing into a god other than Shiva/Bluestone I might get better results.

How would you suggest building Shiva? Shiva has fairly average power scaling for a warrior and has felt fine in the games I have been playing with some of these builds. Also even with his self peel, his 3 doesn't have enough range and his ult not enough safety to warrant more damage items, let alone with his poor power scalings.

I plan on testing more and updating but I am fairly confident in these build orders currently.

SmiteFire & Smite
