Introduction

Welcome to my guide for Pele, Goddess of Volcanoes!

I am a casual jungler who primarily plays conquest.

Pele is my favorite jungle god, she's one of the fastest ones (which is very important) and very powerful.

I'm almost mastery 20 with Pele, I studied her and tested many builds and starting items to take all the advantage.

I didn't want to clarify this but I'm not an english native speaker, but I know enough to make a guide!

Let's jump into it!

Early Jungle Guide

Hand of the Gods

We will start the conquest on the Speed Movement Buff Camp, which we are going to complete with the mid god. In the next camp (Experience Camp) we will use Hand of the Gods, we are going to complete the camp in 2 seconds and then we are going to the Mana Buff Camp.

First use of Blink Rune

After completing the Mana Buff Camp, we are going to study the sequence at the moment:

Normally, we are going to gank middle lane, since we used Hand of the Gods and completed the jungle earlier than the enemy jungler.

We are going to set the Ward Relic on the Mid Lane Experience Buff enemy side (see image below) so we know when the enemy jungler is going to gank middle lane.

After this, we will try to flank and kill the mid god. That's why I recommend Hand of the Gods and Blink Rune as the very first items, so we can get a kill in the first minute and give our mid lane a big early advantage.
If we get the kill, we steal the Enemy Damage Camp. Else, we go to our Enemy Damage Camp and gank Duo Lane or completing the left Experience Camp.

Starter Jungle Route

The blue dot is where I recommend to set the first ward.

Warrior Tabi

We ganked mid lane, we ganked duo lane and we luckily got 2 kills in the first minute of the match. Great! We got some extra money, time to go to the base...

DO NOT complete The Crusher the first time we go to base. Buy and finish Warrior Tabi instead. This will give us the necessary movement speed to jungle and a nice early physical power to complete buffs and gank lanes.
After finishing Warrior Tabi, you can finish The Crusher or the item you bought as starter.

The Crusher

Why I choose The Crusher over Jotunn's Wrath or other core items:

The Crusher give us extra attack speed that help us with our Ultimate Ability and enemies hit by our abilities take an additional physical damage + 15% of our physical power over a few seconds

Hydra's Lament

If you are going to buy Hydra's Lament, take attention to this:

Hydra's Lament give us more damage in the next basic after using an ability. So we are going to attack using abilities between basic attacks.

Abilities: how to use them in combat

Team fight position

Pele is a fast god that ambush, from the jungle, the enemies from the back.

We are going to concentrate in low-health targets (mages, adc).

When the team fight starts, you have to be in the jungle, waiting for a mage or adc to spend their abilities combo to ambush and killing them.

Try to be in the jungle and be sure that there are no enemy wards near you, because the most powerful gods will hunt you and that could end in a death.

How you are going to attack

You are going to enter the team fight from the jungle with Blink Rune.

Choose an enemy and blink next to your target.

Once you blink, you are going to activate the 3 ability Magma Rush and then the 2 Eruption.

After this, don't forget to attack your enemy with some basics (1 -3) if you bought Hydra's Lament or Stone Cutting Sword.

When you debilitate the enemy with this combo, use the first ability Pyroclast and finish with the ultimate to end your enemy's whole career.

What if my enemy has an ability to escape

Obviusly try to wait your target to spend his abilities, but in case that we are against someone who escaped from us (for example Neith third ability):

You are going to use the ability combo as I explained before, and when your enemy escapes, you reach him with your ultimate and then use the first ability Pyroclast which it has a nice range.

Oh FFCK! I missed the ultimate

You know this happens and it's okay. But if you learn to use it properly you got a second chance if you miss it:

Once you cast the ultimate (and miss it), do not chase the enemy... ATTACK THE MINIONS, because Pele's ulti has a cone range that damages the enemies inside it. So if you attack the minions with basic attacks during the ultimate and your enemy is inside the range, you can still hit and kill your target.

Items: Early - Mid - Late

Early Game

Obligated item to jungle

Buy it to complete the XP camp and improve your early "jungling". You can buy it a second time.

Just buy it once because you will barely need it since we have Everlasting Flame

Complete this item before any other one. DO NOT complete a core item until you have tier 3 boots.

It's physical power and mainly attack speed will give you a nice damage and fast cast for your ultimate.

Against gods like Thanatos Anubis Hades or Pele is essential.

BUY THEM.

Mid Game

Remember to use it correctly. Attack your target with basic attacks between abilities.

Useful against tanks or enemies with protection items.

Along with The Crusher this item give us a nice penetration.

This should be the last item to buy. I use to buy it if I have 130 or more physical power because of its passive.

Along with the normal ward Ward, you should buy it always but most importantly if the Fire Giant or Gold are not "warded".

Good protection item because it's cheap and its passive can give us a chance to escape from enemies with Crowd Control.

This is a good mid game item to reduce enemies protections. Along with Titan's Bane is useful to defeat warriors in case we need to.

Late Game

Very useful item to use the ultimate and chase the enemies, check its passive.

Anti-healing protection item against physical enemies.

Anti-healing protection item against magical enemies.

This item give us a shield that explodes and damage nearby enemies after 5 seconds. Useful to enter teamfights with your ultimate if you need to.

Cheap damage potion that I recommend if we FINISHED our build.

Buy it if you completed your build and have got 2500 gold. But SELL your boots and then buy a mid-late game item I showed you or something you need.

Relics: Which relics you should consider.

Blink Rune

I recommend you to get this relic as the first one. Useful to enter teamfights or if you need to escape.

Purification Beads
Commonly this is the second relic I buy. Buy it if there are 2 or more enemies with big crowd control. Perfect to escape from Anubis (with his 2 ab + ulti he deletes us) Hades Olorun Hun Batz Persephone Kumbhakarna Cabrakan and so on.

Bracer of Undoing
Bracer of Undoing This item is perfect if you won a teamgfight and don't wanna go to the base to restore health and mana. Use it just after the teamfight is yours.

Cursed Ankh
Useful against enemies with high lifesteal. Anubis Thanatos Hades Pele Ao Kuang

Phantom Veil
Since we dont have a leap ability (a jump), this is useful against gods like Yemoja or Odin because of its ultimates.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
  • Good damage
  • Incredible movement through the jungle along the conquest
  • You complete early camps faster than other assassins
  • Great mobility and escapes
  • Not a bad lifesteal with its passive Everlasting Flame
  • You ambush, kill, and escape. Getting a kill is that fast.
  • Her second ability Eruption has a great cc which ensures you a kill.
Cons:
  • She's weak. Do not attack alone unless you surprise from the back an enemy.
  • Attack speed by default is not the best, and it's useful for the ultimate.
  • Not good against warriors if you use her in the solo lane (despite this is a jungle guide).
  • The third ability Magma Rush wears out a bit quickly, so try to use it carefully.

Conclusion

Pele is by ar one of my favorites assassins to jungle. I'm sure that you will love her as I do!
