A safe and traditional start for playing Chang’e in mid. Sands of Time keeps up your mana in lane and the start of Book of Thoth also assists with a bit of early game mana. Chang’e is a lil bit hungry for mana so these should off-set it. If you’re against an opponent you know you can pressure out, or confident in your mana conservation, you can use Conduit Gem for burst damage. Always start with Purification Beads, there will never be a situation as Chang’e where a second Aegis is needed when you have one on a 20-14 second cooldown.
The full purpose of this goofy off-meta build is simple: rush with your bruisers, burst your damage and dance away. Easy peasy! Stacked up Book of Thoth provides a hefty supply of mana. Divine Ruin is a must have with the close proximity of Chang’e abilities and it stacks with the anti-heal on her 3. Breastplate of Regrowth feels like a must with it’s MP5, smidge of CDR and physical protection, oh not to mention the movement speed gives Chang’e the mobility she lacks compared to other gods and stacks with her passive movement buff on ability usage. Rod of Asclepius adds utility to Chang’e’s healing output and provides a nice amount of magical power. Finally, Fae-Blessed Hoops are a flex item and should benefit from and aggressive playstyle and will every now and them help your team. Wi5 all this build bundled up, your Chang’e should have a large chunk of health and mana with more utility than she started with.

Yep, this lil girlie can be a jungler. Ok Conduit Gem, you’ll need if for the burst against jungle mobs which when fully stacked hits hard on your 1. If you don’t feel confident in your ability to clear camps, opt for Eye of the Jungle instead as your starter. The start of Soul Gem is giving you sustain, you may not notice it, but that lifesteal off the get go is pretty valuable and helps you take camps. You should only need mana pots at the beginning because as the jungler, you should have a hefty bit of gold after passively farming or seeing a gank opportunity. Blink is for closing the gap and taking enemies by surprise and the Claw Shard should be popped before fights though can be exchanged for Horn Shard to get your abilities back quicker in early game.
So this is the full build if you wanna try out Chang’e as a jungler, baring in mind her playstyle is similar to He Bo’s in the jungle. The Archmage’s Gem is a much more steroids version of Conduit, giving us some mana and keeping our ability amplifier. Soul Gem benefits from our sheer amount of ability spam we can do and a lil bit of lifesteal is always good. Spear of Desolation is invaluable giving us more penetration and extra magic damage on targets. Staff of Myrrdin again adds on to our ability spam as well as more magical power. It’s easy to build up our Charon’s Coin, keep being a nuisance and yanking to get a chunk of movement speed and power. And last but not least, Obsidian Shard, more penetration and a need on ability based builds, just like this one.
Hey there this is a quick disclaimer for this whole lil collection thingy: these are not meta builds! They’re meant for goofing around and gooberisms. Sure it may seem troll to do these in both pubs and comp but are you seriously having fun in Smite? Ever wanted to go crazy and be stupid? Then build one of the cringiest Goddesses in a silly way and commit war crimes! (A quote from a decade of Chang’e play)
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
