Hello! And welcome to my Chang'e Guide. Chang'e is a great god, one of the better Healers in the game, Incredibly fun to play. I hope that with this guide I could help you play her even just that little bit better.
For the best combo with Chang'e I would recommend doing the
Then >
and Finally >
Why not Crescent Moon Dance first you might ask? Well, because Crescent moon dance has a slower casting time than Moonflower Dance therefore this combo is the best one for Chang'e.
Shoes of the Focus In my opinion should be built on chang'e instead of shoes of the magi. Some might disagree with me but I just think that the extra CDR and Mana really helps her out.
Book of Thoth is a great item on mages overall, the mana and power boost this item provides is really helpful to Chang'e as she doesnt really have much early game mana.
Gem of Isolation is a great item for Chang'e. When chasing kills. You can use Moon Flower Dance to Initiate and follow up by using Crescent Moon Dance. Why not use CMD then use MFD ? because Moonflower Dance has a faster casting speed than Crescent Moon Dance, even if it is just by a little bit it really sometimes matters.
Rod of Tahuti is a great spike in power in any mage. This item although a little costy, will provide with a nice mid game advantage. Well, usually considering that you are not behind you should be fine.
Obsidian Shard Is an amazing power & penetration item on most mages. It will provide great help with getting kills.
Spear of Desolation Although not many people run Spear of Desolation on their builds, But I do, the magical power and penetration just add to that of Obsidian Shard and the passive may some day just save your life.
Breastplate of Valor is a great item on any solo laner, as most solo Laners will be physical gods. The CDR is nice too, even though Chang'e does have a really low CDR as it is.
Genji's Guide is just a substitute for Breastplate of Valor because there ARE instances where magical gods are solo laning.
Stone of Binding I just really like the passive on. Imagine you are going in to gank another lane, and you use waxing moon, then you buff all your allies with penetration and you secure the kills.
Rod of Asclepius is a good heal buffing item, so it might just help with extra sustain in the lane.
Void Stone is a decent enough defense item and the passive is just really nice.
Shield of Regrowth Shield of Regrowth is an amazing item on chang'e, with the health boost and the additional escape ability. Love it.
When playing chang'e, you will want to clear the fire Elementals in the Fire Giant's temple as they are a great source of gold and experience early game. Then clear the mana camp and as you are going back to lane the jungler can do their Speed buff. You will want to Prioritize rushing into Book of Thoth after getting shoes as the great mana boost is really necessary. Next you want to keep on clearing the Fire elementals and keep on using the Jade Rabbit for purchasing your next item.
Also, Warding.
You should ward the places from which you will see when enemies are incoming. Behind the Fire giants temple is a good place as most Junglers will go there to gank.
And remember, Level up your Skills in this order : Waxing Moon, Crescent Moon Dance, Moonflower Dance and finally Moonlit Waltz
In mid to late game, try having the Gold fury under your watch as you will need the additional gold to complete your build. You can also do the Portal demon buff as it gives the same amount of gold as the gold fury. You should try bust down the enemy defenses too, maybe get your team to gank a tower from time to time until there are only the phoenixes left. You should do the fire giant buff around late game as this gives a massive regeneration and damage boost.
There are many gods that counter Chang'e. First off :
So That is it for my Chang'e Guide. I hope I helped at least some people with this guide. Any changes or advice for future guides would be greatly appriciated too. That's it for me, Bye Bye!

The guide is well written and the build is really solid, I played it some times and after a while, I had so much mana that I was using my attacks to walk faster (not that this is a bad thing)
I experimented a little, and as Zigster said, with Sands of Time and Mana pots I find that after a while, I have enought mana to work with. So I tried building Warlork Sash instead of Book of Thoth. The effects were great, the amount of power I earned from it, as well as the extra health, helped alot in the mid-game/late-game.
But be proud of your guide, Chang'e as a Solo is one of the greatest additions for your team in the late game, since she can CC, heal and do a decent amount of damage. Congratz
If you are having trouble with mana early on, I would recommend grabbing Sands of Time as your starter item. The mana regen it provides is extremely useful to chang'e, and I keep it with me for most of the game.
I find that Chang'e only really needs the extra mana from Book of Thoth early game, mid-late game she has easily enough mana to be effective. Sands of Time fixes this problem.
I don't think that you emphasized enough the importance of Shield of Regrowth. The speed boost on your heal make you unbelievably slippery. The MP5 helps with our mana problem. And the health and health regen help you stay in lane and stay alive. I buy this item third, which also gives me full CDR very early. (sands - focusboots - shield)
Breastplate of Valor is useful, but I don't think its necessary. Dynasty Plate Helm gives you solid magical power, while also protecting from the warrior you are probably fighting in lane.
This is all personal preference; I don't think your build is bad. I just wanted to offer some things I have found useful and effective.
"Oooo but she has bad mana problems."
Get Sands of time, Lotus Crown and Genjis Guard. All provide unbelievable mana sustain and are brilliant items for utility and cooldown.
