Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
SMITEFire is the place to find the perfect build guide to take your game to the next level. Learn how to play a new god, or fine tune your favorite SMITE gods’s build and strategy.

The biggest out-of-place item to me is Hydra's Lament, at least in the 2nd position. I can understand to a degree if you're wanting the mana regen, but until his damage is built up, he's not going to want to go in deep where he'll get basics off, except to finish off an enemy or dive when he knows he's got the advantage. Mostly, he'll be wanting to poke at long range with Universe Ring Toss, and dive for the kill with his ult.
Mid/late game, I do like Hydra's as a situational item depending on how dangerous the enemy team is with regard to things like CC. But in many cases I'd probably prefer Jotunn's 2nd for more Ring spamming and ults, or Crusher perhaps for better poke damage.
Also, you have 7 items listed and no explanation for it. Do you mean that the final item is your pref between Bloodforge and Deathbringer? Or something else? Viewers can't tell, because you described absolutely nothing.
Finally, no other optional items are listed. With his great poke ability, Brawler's Beat Stick can be really good against a lot of enemy healing. And situationally, he may want a protection item. Not having these options is a significant oversight IMO.
Typically if you're going a standard assassin, you can go full damage, or bruiser. Also depends on which mode. In teamfight modes, I would rush Jotunn's Wrath to get as many Ring Tosses as possible (as well as ults), while in Conquest, I might get my CDR through Ancile and Mantle of Discord or something like that.
If you're doing the support thing, I would build mostly like any Support...he can do well in that role.
Full damage will typically involve Warrior Tabi as core boots, and build a lot into the mace tree for high pen and power. You might also fit Deathbringer and possibly Malice as late-game items. Malice can be pretty nice if you're ulting first and following up with other abilities later.
With bruiser builds, you'll often get the standard bruiser assassin items, Void Shield and Ancile, though Void isn't core by any means, because a lot of your damage will be from outside its range via the Ring Toss.
So...teamfight modes, full offense. Warrior Tabi, Jotunn's Wrath, The Crusher, Brawler's Beat Stick, Hydra's Lament, Bloodforge maybe. The last 2 are situational. Something like that.
And I wanna try him as a support in the future, I imagine you have to build Lono’s Mask to make him tankier?
