Introduction

Hey! This is my first build! I decided to do my first on Ymir, seeing as this build has granted me one shots for every squishy. Usually dying isn't a problem for me, if you are accompanied by an Aphrodite. This duo would make you unstoppable!
Now this one shot build relies mostly on a basic attack finisher, despite the damaging abilites. There has been a case where my basic does 1200 damage!

!!!Just remember, to put a wall infront of your enemy before going in for the basic. If they have a quick escape, try doing a basic after freezing, then strike.!!!

Also, if you wish to downvote this build for the fact of no protections. Do remember that this is a joust build, and will work with another god such as aphrodite, hel, baron etc. Generally any support god. It's a different way to play Ymir, rather than having a hybrid of damage and defense. It is just fun to one shot as Ymir. Whether you start to die a lot or not is up to the god selection for enemies, or how you play. If you are constantly kiting and waiting for an opportunity, you are going to get poked. Create your opportunities.

Pros and cons

Pros
[*] One shots
[*] Insane auto damage
[*] Not too squishy due to guardian kit

Cons
[*] Not as tanky
[*] Hard to fight ranged
[*] Can be shredded if cc'ed

Reasons of items

[*] Bancrofts Talon
The reason being for this item, is generally the core of the build. This is more or less a glass cannon build, which revolves mostly around Talon. If at any chance you are at low health, you gain 100 more power, on top of the 100 power the item already grants you, boosting you it up to 200 magical power. Not only this, but your lifesteal is increased from 15% , to 30%. This goes great for how much damage you do, and the lifesteal scale that leeches off of that. ( Second item because it also gives mana, which Ymir needs a lot of in the beginning)

[*] Rangda's Mask
Well, remember when I said this build revolves around talon? Well... that was a lie. If you have never seen use of the masks, now you will. This beast gives you extra penetration and power, which isn't important at all. But.. 15% ability damage increase, along with 20% basic damage increase. This is so overpowered! It scales with talon perfectly! If you are ever at low health, talon and this mask alone is enough to one hit a squishy! This also goes hand in hand with Ymir's passive, with his basic attack damage increase to frostbitten enemies. This is the core of the damage in this build.
!!!Do remember that this will increase the damage you take by great amounts!!!

[*] Polynomicon
This item is not as important in all honesty. You need a bit of a lifeteal boost for when you are low, along with the mana. But more importantly, the passive. 75% magical power increase for basic attacks. Again, this works well with Ymir's passive, and the percentage increase works with the mask. Not as important, but its great to ensure that 600+ basic damage with your auto.

[*] Spear of the magus
Now, this is an important item. Extra penetration for when going up against guardians/warriors. But the passive, your damaging abilities reduces your targets magical protection for 5s (max 5 stacks) So you get two stacks for this, after using Ymir's two damaging abilities, reducing the targets magical protection by 20 to get in more true damage for your auto. This mostly works with assassins that are building protection, or guardians/warriors.

[*] Rod of tahuti
This item is probably the least important (In my opinion) but also great for the fact you can exert out immense damage when having this item. Basic attacks and abilities gain 25% magical power against targets below 50% health. This is mostly for guardians/warriors if you get them below 50%, so you can do tons of damage with your basic after combo. But its also good for occasional people who use shell or bracelet after an ability. If anyone is stupid enough to do it.

[*] Divine ruin
This is just anti healing for gods like Aphrodite or Hel. You can switch it out for any item but the mask, but I suggest for Talon (As it wont make much of a difference, if you are going up against gods that are pretty stupid.)

Choice of skill order

For the skill order, I chose to level up strike to max first thing. The ult in this build isn't as important, as you remain locked in place, and its easier to be shredded down. But you can use it if you feel like. But upgrading strike to max as early as possible, gets you that early damage and intimidation in your build. The wall is not as important, as it is only used to wall off enemies after doing combo.

Thank you for your recommendation! I'll be sure to try this out sometime in joust.

I just feel going full squish, and getting Rangda's Mask on top of that, is just asking to be blown up. It's too risky for me.

I do understand your concept. While others seem to be suggesting getting protection items (which is obvious for non-troll situations and I'm sure you know better on how to do normal builds), this is specifically NOT your trolly concept, and so I'd like to offer some suggested adjustments based on your glass-cannon preference for this.

Firstly...I don't think Spear of the Magus is the best pen choice. He's not a god with ticking or DoT abilities. His abilities will do one-hits, and so your efficiency in stacking Magus sucks. I propose either Obsidian Shard if facing 2 tanky-ish enemies, or getting multiple flat pen items if facing mostly squishies.

OR...a 3rd concept would be to try to take advantage of his passive, Frostbite. This means working on his basic attacks via Demonic Grip, likely with at least 1 more ring, depending on how you're feeling.

Here would be a basic attack build you could try.
Anyway, also probably don't suggest going 2x lifesteal. You're already getting very little out of lifesteal as it is. All 3 of his abilities do AOE damage, which means Bancroft's 15% base is only 5%. Also, you building 2 lifesteal items, on top of you suggesting this will work well with a linked Aphrodite, is just begging the enemy to build a lot of anti-heal.

Anyway, that's my feedback. I know this is troll, but you explain your concept well enough that I'd like to hear your response before considering this for archive.

I'm downvoting because this is a very specialized build that requires a very specific comp for it to work and people just glancing at it won't necessarily know that. Sure Ymir has decent protections, but even duel players build at least one defense item on him and so should you. I'd drop the mask for something like either Breastplate of Valor or Genji's Guard (or Pestilence should you need anti-heal). As it is I'm downvoting because I cannot in good conscious recommend this to anybody who's looking for a good general use Ymir build. You should specify in your title that this is a Joust only build and requires a healer to make it even viable.

Thank you for your reply! It was my first time constructing a build, and it was hard for me to figure out how everything worked, so I couldn't include some of the important parts that should paint this build as the 'troll' build that has been stated. Yes, this is only a joust troll build, which is why it was built with no protections. It's fun, it shouldn't be took seriously. I also thank you for the recommendation of items that should be used. However, this is purely a damage build, constructed without protections. If this were a case in which it was a serious build, protections would be a great idea. Thank you for your feedback

He should mention it’s a troll build for casual Joust.

Pretty much, which is why I downvoted this guide.
