Introduction

"They say poison is a woman's weapon, but I say.. Would you like some tea?"

Serqet

A Scorpion Queen out to rid the battlefield of all gods, Serqet - Goddess of Venom, triumphs in the jungle as one of the best, if not, most interesting melee physical assassins that lurk on the fields of SMITE.

I can safely say Serqet has it all. She is one of the deadliest assassins who has very high mobility and knooows how to rock that smokin' hot bod! Move over Neith, there's a new Egyptian hottie in town! Even though I was very skeptical about her pre-release, it turns out she takes place number two in my top list of junglers! And playing SMITE for two years, that's saying something.

So, why? Well, Well, win or lose she is a very fun God to play. But to play her effectively is absolutely terrifying. Although being a bit tricky to master, she is definitely a relatively comfortable goddess to play. So let's see if we can make you a better Serqet player so you can strike fear (and venom) in the hearts of any and everyone who stands in your way!

Pros / Cons

PROS
Fun to play
High Damage
Very High Mobility
One of the best early game CC abilities with Cobra's Kiss
Relatively Good throughout the entire game
Strong Ganks
Skills are actually useful

CONS
Fairly high skill required
Patience is also a necessity
Weak counter jungling skill (despite her high mobility)
Very squish, so wow
High Mana user
Escapes are used as initiation and damaging abilities

Skills

Catalyst

A fairly good passive. It does effective early/mid game damage and stacks great with Qin's Sais. To ensure maximum efficiency, be sure to have three stacks of Catalyst before auto attacking, especially if you're not building Qin's Sais. Building attack speed is very important on Serqet to make this passive useful, otherwise it's just a burden.

Deathbane

This is her best and main damaging ability. It can hit three times on one target, it can crit, and additionally, this is what makes Serqet interesting. If I hadn't mentioned this before, Serqet is fun to play. The reason being, her skills allow you to be creative. Deathbane can be a gap closer, an escape, an execution (not literal execution like Thanatos) all while being her main damaging ability. A good Serqet knows exactly what situation to accustom this ability to. It can be used to get behind enemies and damage them simultaneously, or escape enemies and damage them simultaneously. Either way, this move makes her a great assassin and boxer, and should be used to her advantage. Mastering this ability requires a creative mind and a good knowledge of many different fights/situations. But the most important this you must keep in mind is: NEVER. GANK. WITH THIS. ABILITY.

Cobra's Kiss

Madness is by far the most entertaining CC ability to activate and watch. A two on one ganking situation is quickly turned around by just using this ability, but be sure to use this ability wisely. It isn't something I think I know how to explain, but it's more instinctive.

Say you were ganking the duo lane. You would want to take the tank's crowd control out of the fight to target the adc, but if the tank were low health, you would want to target the adc for his attack speed for taking out the tank more swiftly and then securing the kill on the adc. If you're being chased, the same thing applies; basically it's wise to target the god with the most CC, because not only is a late game tank hard to kill, but he probably doesn't have beads and he won't be able to use any of his abilities during the duration. But, squishy gods with high mobility may also be a priority, but all comes down to how confidence you are in your skill level. This ability is fun to toy around with, and with enough practice can secure you a kill or two during the first two minutes of laning with your solo partner. But be warned, a slight misuse of this ability could be fatal.

Ambush

Remember when I told you not to gank with Deathbane? This is why. Yet another example of how you can be creative with Serqet. You have the literal definition of ganking at your disposal. It is so easy to fool people with this move, even the smartest of players. Thought Bastet's jump was good? Feh, get a load of this beautiful leap!

Okay I kid, but beside Bastet's, this is definitely a great leap, but also why a patient Serqet player is a deadly one! As far as I know, the vanish on this ability has no timer, meaning you can stay vanished as long as you want (although, you can't move until you jump). Always, always, ALWAYS initiate a gank with this skill, then triple hit with Deathbane. These are the top two priorities when ganking with Serqet, the rest should come naturally.

Oh, and one more thing. Let's talk about escaping with this ability. It's main downside is that it makes you immobile while vanished, but you may be able to use that to your advantage. You want to be smart when escaping with this ability; if the enemy is plowing you down with skills, try to escape with Deathbane first, then follow through with Ambush to escape. However, if their artillery isn't all that high, juke them out by using Ambush by going behind them or beside (through walls and openings) them to escape, then follow through with Deathbane. Last thing to note: You will become unstealthed if taking any damage while stealthed.

Last Breath

Ah yes, Special Delivery is one of the most useful abilities in the game! Dealing damage while providing hard CC...wait...wait what? T-This isn't Special Delivery? Oh...well, Drain Life is...N-No? The f*ck is it then? ...The hell is Last Breath?! True damage? But it still applies lifesteal, right? No? Well does it still throw people? Oh. They just used the Drain Life animation then right? Well scorpions are scarier...wait where was I? Oh right, right, the guide, the guide.

Aaaanyway...after the short technical difficulties, Last Breath is definitely an important part of Serqet's kit and a move to be feared. It gives her real fluid motions she has when she uses her abilities, it's good for securing kills, throwing enemies into walls or towers, and most of all (unlike some assassins) gives her a good team-fight presence if done properly. It's good for shredding tanks and tanky gods due to the true damage added to it, but compared to most ultimates, it's pretty underwhelming. Not saying it needs a buff, though, it's actually perfect where it is. Use it...experimentally. Her ultimate is like a Special Delivery, ergo, it can't be used as originally as the rest of her kit, it's actually very standard. But, if you can snag a low healthed enemy and toss him to the rest of his allies so it can apply the poison to them, then that's a +1 in my book. But normally you would use it as Mercury would use his 3 key (pushing enemies into towers, walls, behind you, etc etc).

Sorry!

-Holds up flame shield- Wait, wait! I can explain.

Ahem. To explain my noobieness, I SUCK when it comes to BBC Coding. Like, holy good god how do you people do this **** is beyond me. So...a HUUGGGGEEEE shout out to all the peoples codes I ripped off, and sorry for having Unoriginal BBC Coding. I thought CPU and Flash Coding was hard...jesus, props to anyone who knows how to do this properly, people!

-Slow clap- Yes, yes, big shout outs, big shout outs. But, if my explainations are what you guys are mad about, sorry about that too. I am a complete noob when it comes to guides (don't believe me, look up my Zeus god and try not to laugh). I love writing and love to be creative whilst doing so! ...But...I've never been the good guy when it comes to explanatory writing. It just isn't me. But if the guide was actually good...thanks!

And lastly, for posting the incompletion that is the Pardon Meee~ Serqet guide. I fell in love with Serqet the moment I played her (why in good heavens name they would put a two second taunt on an assassin is beyond me) and I stand by what I say: she is soooo ****ing fun! I bought her VP instantaneously and I'm saving my Favor for her gold skin when is comes out. SHE. IS. FUN. BE CREATIVE WITH HER. DO IT. Infact, I loved her so much, I was like "Ya know. I'll go eat some ****ing subway." AND THEN AFTER THAT, I WAS LIKE "WHY THE **** NO ONE PUTS BACON ON THEIR SANDWICHES IS BEYOND ME." and then I started making the guide. :D

But alas...a tragic moment. *Crowd Gasps* It was a dark and stormy night...or was it a cold summer evening? Does a cold summer evening even make sense? Well anyway, my computer broke on me *crowd "Awww's* I know, I know, I was heartbroken...well, not that much. WHY THE **** DO YOU BREAK ON MY NOW, WHY?@wrqw g?W1/EW WERNF AL;WFNVLK WHYYYYYYY *sobs* o.o But yeah, I do have a peice of **** spare I use occasionally. Either that or I'm on my phone. But, with school coming, no active, good/working computer, and me getting a job soon, I decided to postpone the guide. *Crowd Gasps* Yes! That does mean I will come back to it! Someday! Maybe... Hopefully... Probably not...ya know if she gets nerfed all ta' hell. *Crowd Applauses* Wait a minute...that wasn't in the script. WHO ARE YOU PEOP-

But thank you for reading my Serqet guide. Sorry again for...sucking. :P I would appreciate comments and criticism, but go easy on me...it's my second time, I'm not used to this sort of thing ye- GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER PLEASE GO EASY ON ME SUB-DONO, YAMATE D:

Happy Smiting~

I can't be biased on guides :/. It's looking pretty good so far, appearance and information wise but it is incomplete or a WIP.

Good news! i Should be able to finish this guide in two weeks .D.

@ThornArrow Her passive, along with Qin's Sais make her a very good AA based god. Of course, she is nothing without her abilities due to her passive. Btw, Malice's passive is amazing for stacking with Qin's Sais and her passive. With Rage, you're substituting potential stacking damage for more crits than damage anyway, when this build is more of a penetration-AA type build ( Catalyst- Qin's Sais-Witchbane- Titan's Bane which all do massive stacking penetration) with potential crit (with Deathbringer or Malice) rather than full bursty assassin type build.

As for cooldowns and escapes, I'm more of a glass-cannon type player, but you make excellent points. I run no CDR items and manage to do fine, however, because her abilities don't have relatively large cooldowns. But! This is also the reason for Witchbane and potentially Shifter's Sheild and to use protections situationally. But you are right, perhaps with Qin's Sais Witchbane and [Titan's Bane]], We may already have enough penetration to buy a cdr item like Ninja Tabi. Once my cpu gets fixed, I'll test this theory.

@Jordenito (My Preference) Asi is essential for beginner builds due to the attack speed and lifesteal, so I recommend Asi over Witchbane, unless you're comfortable with your survability.

I can tell that the guide isn't quite complete but it looks like it's going to be really good. For the BBC coding, I suggest that for the ability section of the guide, you make the ability icons bigger to make them stand out and just be more eye organized-looking.

I'd also really like a section explaining all of the items that work on her and how they work like why Shifter's Shield and why no Rage?

As for serqet and her actual playstyle and such. She isn't completely basic attack based and is nothing without her abilities so I think at least some CDR is definitely core for Serqet. If you're using the Ambush for ganking and Deathbane for damage. You're going to need an escape if something goes wrong. Being one of the squishiest gods in the game, you can't just wait for your cool downs to drop if you're being chased after a gank gone wrong. Getting CDR with Jotunn's Wrath or Ninja Tabi would make sure that you don't get caught and die after using your escapes for damage.

But overall, the guide is looking good and it's my favorite one about Serqet!

Well, this guide is incomplete, so I can't review it. Other than skill explanation and the build, there's nothing to it.

Just a side note; you put Asi in your core build, yet in your preferred final build, it isn't present there.

I do like the tone of this guide, but I can't review it nor vote. I hope you get a good PC soon...
