After completing the build, sell the shoes of focus and buy elixir of speed and buy Soul Gem or Gem of isolation.
Hi!I'm Robb, RobbHolland in game, This is my build for Persephone, The newest goddess in SMITE!
Persephone is a Control Mage that specializes in dealing massive amounts of damage and zoning the enemy team in the best of situations. Harvest and Grasp of Death are both unique and powerful abilities that ensure the viability of Persephone and allows her to be a menace in-game.
This god dependent on basic attacks and is a Squishy. This Build makes the most of basic attacks. I highly recommend it!
Right off the bet, you'll want to walk all the way towards speed camp, plant 2-3 Harvest plants there, go to mid lane, set up 3-4 stacks there, go back and go to the speed camp. This way you're maximizing your mana and your time, and preparing yourself to clear the camps.
I recommend getting Flourish at level 3 because you can't deal a lot of burst damage at level 3 like a Hera or a Merlin could, so you're better safe than sorry. By the time you reach level 5, you'll be able to take control of your teamfights with your excessive amount of zoning and Crowd Control.
Always keep some plants near your tower line. You'll have some plants near their tower line thanks to Bone Rush, but if you get pushed under tower, you won't have a line of defense ready against a possible dive.
Pros:
Amazing burst damage
Safe character (Can deal a lot of damage from far away)
Excelent poking
Decent waveclear
Unique escape
Controls teamfights with Grasp of Death
Excellent healing in lane
Diverse and with a lot of options to work with
Extra gold, extra happiness!
Can keep fighting for 8 seconds
Cons:
-Squishy
-Depends a lot from basic attacks
-Can get outpushed easily
-Quite confusing for the first times
-Weak from behind/caught with her pants
down.

Neither of the builds have Obs Shard either so you're just letting the tanks on the enemy team win the game for their team.
Tahuti/Bancrofts on both good on her because you get the full passives from both during your passive.
And there's also considerations like CDR boots (pen boots is fine though), Spear of deso (which she can build as she isn't really a magus user), Pythags (if playing her in duo lane with a hunter in mid).
Here's my suggestion for a bancrofts build (as an example): Bancroft's Talon, Shoes of the Magi, Spear of Desolation/ Divine Ruin, Obsidian Shard, Soul Reaver, Soul Gem, sell Magi shoes late for E-Staff or Tahuti.
Or: Shoes of Focus, Spear of Desolation, Ethereal Staff, Soul Reaver, Obsidian Shard, Rod of Tahuti/ Soul Gem. Sell CDR boots late for Soul Gem/ Rod of Tahuti.
Also your first build has obs shard pretty early and lists it twice.
Bancrofts - Shoes of Focus - Spear of Desolation - Ethereal Staff - Obsidian Shard - Rod of Tahuti.
