I would swap the order round: , Shaman’s Ring, , , , . I have other builds I can share but I can’t directly link to them.

I'm guessing conquest. I would get earlier though.

How much earlier? 2nd item? 3rd item? I currently have it as the 4th item. Its passive gives +50 prot reduction, in addition to the +15 flat pen. That's way more than you need as a 2nd or 3rd item, IMO.

It's a cheap item, that's why I pick it up 2nd or 3rd. I also usually start with instead of focus for that extra pen. I don't play very often, so I'd like to hear your thoughts on why you build it 4th.

Nor do I. As I mentioned in my previous comment, I wouldn't build it 2nd or 3rd since -50 prot reduction and +15 flat penetration is way more than you need at that point.

Vazquez also mentioned he wanted in there, so I thought a stacking item should be built earlier.

Overall, I think 2nd item is just way too soon for .

If this build was for conquest, I don't think would be optimal. Maybe something like or a stacking item might be better. Not sure about .

I'd probably agree. 3rd or 4th is best for . You can supplement the "later" part of the build by getting , and that earlier. By 4th/5th item, even squishies will start getting around 50 magical protection (usually 48 at level 20), so it fits there to help you deal basically true damage. And of course, cuts deeply into tank protections, which are definitely higher at that point.

Sure, it's fine. It, combined with and , gives some great early pen, good power, and 20% CDR. Helps him be aggressive and get more early ults off. Could sub in too. Or you could get 3rd, and after shoes (or before shoes) get or or something.

The blessing gives you cooldown, but only after evolving, so i guess it isnt quite 20% early cdr

ALright. So in the example build I gave at the very top, I'd just replace with .

Of course, situationals need to be considered, like you mentioned. for healers. is enemy jungler? Etc.

One other possible alternative is as last item. It'll allow you to spam your ult more often, which is also nice, and you get pretty good pen overall just with , as long as you let it stack before ulting.

And if you replace with , you'll have plenty of pen overall, while keeping roughly the same CDR as if you got Focus + Deso.

I would start out with magi for the early pen, then swap out to focus after I got deso online.
