Passive - Kaldr, The Winter Wolf
Kaldr is the most unique part of Skadis kit, he is unique to her and no other god has anything that acts quite like kaldr. Kaldr can be controlled by Skadi who can select when and who kaldr attacks at any time. Kaldr has 5 health, each health point corresponding to 1 ability or basic attack from an enemy god, or 5 attacks from minions.
Kaldr is always active, even when no points are put into the ability.
Ability 1 - Piercing Cold
This is Skadis primary damaging ability, being her primary wave clear and thus the first ability that will want to be maxed to level 5. Other than damage, Piercing Cold has additional effects, firstly it slows enemies hit by it, and secondly it doubles the damage of Kaldrs basic attacks, meaning that late game with Piercing Cold actiive, kaldr can do hits for 160% of Skadis basic attack
Ability 2 - Rune Of The Hunt
This is the ability that Skadi uses to control Kaldr, allowing Skadi to pick who Kaldr attacks, every other level it gains a new ability and increases the damage of Kaldrs basic attacks
At level 1 - Kaldr gains a dash attack, at level 5 this reaches 130% of Skadis basic attack as damage
At level 3 - Kaldrs kills heal him, self explanatory, allows kaldr to heal quicker while being used by Skadi
At level 5 - Kaldrs attack speed up Skadis movement speed by 10%, allowing skadi to be more mobile in fights and more easily dodge other hunters basic attacks
Ability 3 - Permafrost
This is a circle ability that grows in size and damage with every level, its unique effect is that enemy gods that step onto the ice lose control of their movement, continuing in the direction of initial travel, this can make for some amusing plays in choke points, causing gods to endlessly slide over it, constantly rebounding off walls. Stepping on the ice will also increase Skadis movement speed
Ultimate Ability - Winter's Grasp
When used, Skadis ultimate create rings around both Skadi and Kaldr, that damage all enemies in their range over time for 4 seconds, Gods caught in the rings when first used will be rooted also
1. Kaldrs attack speed is 50% of Skadis, it is not fixed
2. Kaldr is not affect by items that affect basic attacks, such as The Executioner and Hydra's Lament
3. Kaldr is NOT affected by Crit, DON'T build it

Asi is better mid-build, if you plan to go more basic attack later with Exe / Qin's. SE should be able to be considered if you're going with a more hard-hitting hybrid or ability-based build, also perhaps somewhere in the mid to mid-late part of a build. BF would be a late option, either as a replacement to Asi, or standalone if you didn't get lifesteal earlier.
I just don't see a place for Soul Eater on Skadi compared to other ability based hunters.
But yeah, I'm not sure I'd build it often on her.
Also selling Soul Eater after stacking it sounds like quite a big waste of gold.
1. Kaldr has a fixed attack speed, independent of Skadis"
Except her passive, Kaldr, The Winter Wolf states that Kaldr inherits 50% of Skadi's?
Anyway,
Why are you prioritising points in Skadi's ultimate when not only is upgrading it not as important as her other abilities, but her ultimate has been quite weak ever since they removed Kaldr's temporary invulnerability during the ult duration?
The proper ability maxing is 1 > 3 > 2 > ult.
"Skadi is very good in both team fights and 1v1s due to kaldr, essentially allowing Skadi to either do 2x damage to one target, or attack 2 complete separate targets simultaneously." - 1vs1? Sure she's good. Team fights? Not as strong.
I also agree that Skadis ult can seem a bit lack luster, but it actually can do quite a lot of damage, which most people don't expect, especially if the god is in range of both Skadi and kaldr
but i have to adamantly disagree with prioritising the 3 over the 2, rune of the hunt is just far more versitile, kaldr can have much more consistent damage and can also attack structures, for immediate burst damage the 3 appears better, but over even a short amount of time, the benefit of maxing the 2 first can be night and day
