Intro

Hello guys and welcome to my first ever guide on
This is a jungling guide on Bakasura

I've been maining Bakasura since I started playing SMITE and I wanna share my experience with him with you.

First off, thank you for checking out this guide! I would very much appreciate tips on formatting since it is still something I wanna work on.

Just a disclaimer, every game is different, so there might be times where you wanna stray away from this guide.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

eat minionsGood jungle clear
Good sustain in the jungle
Good chase/escape mechanic
Really damn high single target damage
Awesome counter to tanky characters

Cons:

Easy target
Lacks CC
Prone to hard CC
Very low sustain overall
Passive reliant
Basic attack reliant

Skills

INSTATIABLE HUNGER

This ability is your mobility and clear in the jungle, this makes you be faster thus, getting more exp and gold in the jungle and being more farmed than the enemy jungler. However you are every reliant on your passive when you gank or clear buff camps so try to keep it up as long as you can.

Do:
-Keep this passive going for as long as possible
-Try to gank or enter a teamfight with a minimal of 3 stacks

Do NOT:
-Think that you can easily escape with it going
-Try to get a stack when enemies are near a minion wave

TAKE DOWN
This is your escape/chase ability. It can go over walls which is the best choice for escape. It also has a little nice physical reduction to it, which can help your ganks quicker.

Do:
-Escape over walls with the leap
-Take advantage of the physical defense reduction
-Use it to escape and chase

Do NOT:
-Initiate with it
-Be suicidal with it and jump into a crowd of enemies

EAT MINIONS
Eat Minions This is your sustain/clear in the jungle. Also, this is a good thing to have when you want to have a boost on your passive. But beware that you need the jungle buff creeps down to 1/3 of their HP to eat them.

Do:
-Take advantage of the heal and protections
-Take advantage of that fact that it conveniently gives you a stack of passive
-Remember that you need the buff creeps down to 1/3 of their health to eat them

Do NOT:
-Get carried away with the heal and protections and think that you are invincible
-Spam

BUTCHER BLADES
This is your bread and butter. It allows you to deal true damage when activated. This is what makes Bakasura so good against tanky characters. This ability isn't based on how many hits you land but how long it lasts, so it is ideal to build attacks speed on Bakasura

Do:
-Always have ready it in fights
-Build attack speed to support this ability
-Be aggressive when you have it active
-take advantage of the passive physical power

Do NOT:
-Forget that Bakasura already deals a lot of damage with his basic attacks
-Spam it, there is always a scenario that you will need it

REGURGITATE
Your ultimate lets you regurgitate out all the minions you've eaten and turn them into Baby Bakas that attacks for you. It also slows the enemies and cripples them where you've regurgitated and your basic attacks turn into cone attacks. This is the second reason you wanna build attack speed on Bakasura.

Do:
-Take advantage of the slow and cripple
-Try to land it on where the preferred target is so that your minions don't target another enemy
-Take advantage of on-hit effects when the cone attack is active

Do NOT:
-Forget to eat minions before using this ability
-Focus multiple enemies

Combos

Main ganking combo:
eat minions into basic attacks
Explanation:
This combo is great for ganking and devouring your next meal quickly. First, use Eat Minions to get at least one stack of your passive and also give you some defenses. Then, use Butcher Blades to give yourself a good boost for your basic attacks.

Ultimate combo
eat minions into into basic attacks then escape
Explanation:
Your ultimate combo is a great way to finish off heavy targets. Use Eat Minions to get a stack of your passive and an extra minion when you use Regurgitate. Then use you Regurgitate to slow and cripple the enemy and provide you some minions to help you kill that target. Then use Butcher Blades to boost your basic attacks when you have the cone basic attack active. Then use your escape so that there is no sign of you left in that area.

Normal 1v1 combo
basic attacks
Explanation:
In 1v1 situations you only need to use your basic attacks, just give them a boost with Butcher Blades and you're good to go. If there are minions nearby, use Eat Minions to give you some more attack speed.

Active combo:
eat minions into basic attacks secure kill basic attacks to finish off
Explanation:
This is basically your normal combo but with Creeping Curse to help your further to secure the kill.

Items

Since Bakasura relies heavily on attack speed, my build will provide a good balance of attack speed, power, crit and lifesteal.

Starter:

I will generally blow my money on a Creeping Curse for some backup/chase for early invation to the enemy blue buff and also gives me great ganking capability later on, tier 2 boots so that I could rush Hastened Fatalis early, with enough movement speed and power to make me survive in the jungle and some pots to make me last longer in the jungle.

Why no Bumba's Mask or Death's Toll?
I like to play aggresive Bakasura, therefore I like to rush Hastened Fatalis. With Combat Boots giving me just enough clear, movement and sustain in the jungle, I can safely rush Hastened Fatalis. Plus, you already have Eat Minions to sustain yourself in the jungle.

Go Warrior Tabi or Hastened Fatalis for my first complete item?
vs
It really depends, as a Bakasura player I really like to play aggressive and gank often. So therefore I need something to stick to people with when ganking, and Hastened Fatalis is a great addition to my ganks. But if you are looking to just farm and play safe, get Warrior Tabi first as you want better clear in the jungle. No matter what, the one you didn't buy is going to be your second item.

Rush The Executioner but not Qin's Sais?
>
Yes, The Executioner in my opinion is better than Qin's Sais on Bakasura, with the physical defense decrease, my basic attacks will be doing more than before, and with that attack speed, I am going to accomplish that in seconds. It also helps when Butcher Blades is off cooldown and I need some more attack power. 0h, and also with the cone attacks Regurgitate provides you, you will be decreasing physical defense in an AOE and it will support your physical allies in teamfights as well. Imagine how scary that is. Also with the new Qin's Sais update, it's really now a late game item.

4th and 5th items
If heavy targets are getting real fed and are still a huge problem, go for Qin's Sais to provide you that extra true damage that you want against tanky enemies, it also gives you a decent amount of attack speed. I usually get Deathbringer along with this for my 4th and 4th items.

If You are getting very fed, get more crit chance to enhance your ganking speed.

Last item
magi's blessingThis is an awesome item to counter hard CC. You should get this if you are constantly dying to it.

Lifesteal isn't that big on Bakasura, but get this if you want more sustain and better boxing capabilities. It also empowers your attacks in teamfights.

If you bought Rage, you should consider buying this. This helps you a great amount when you have the cone attack active from Regurgitate in teamfights.

Switching Hastened Fatalis with Frostbound Hammer

This item gives you physical power, but mainly health, which helps you survive if you are having trouble on not getting beat up when initiating team fights. It also slows the enemy so that you can have a constant slow debuff on an enemy which basically removes a huge fraction of the speed debuff from basic attacks. Also it is quite supportive to your team.

Actives:

Bakasura likes chase, fast movement and something to get himself out of trouble.

This is a big one, since Bakasura is heavy on basic attacks, this makes you glue to the enemy better by slowing them down and ensuring there is no escape for them so that you can secure the kill easily.

Another nice active for Bakasura. It helps you clear jungle camps and also stuns all nearby enemies around you, so they have nowhere to go but in your belly.

This is pretty much a multipurpose item. It lets you escape and it lets you chase while removing any slows, which includes your basic attack slow. It is good for chase, but doesn't have that much of a "lockdown" compared to Creeping Curse.

Good item for Bakasura, if you play defensive that is. It gets all CC off of you and provides a CC immunity, which is good for escaping and getting out of sticky situations.

Awesome item if you are playing REALLY damn aggressive. Great for pulling off combos(although Baka doesn't really have one) and initiating a team fight.

Just like Girdle of Inner Power, it provides you buffs, but also all allies within a 70 ft radius(about the maximum range of where you can use Take Down). it is awesome for supporting teammates in teamfights or just simply ganking.

Items to look out for
This item gives them some physical protection, which can be easily countered by using Butcher Blades, but most importantly it deflects basic attack damage, and since Bakasura is really reliant on basic attacks, it is a nice counter to him. Try to not be too aggresive to the enemy that has this item or else you'll get punished.

Again, it gives physical protections but that doesn't matter. What's most important is that it has a chance of slowing you and your basic attacks, but it's only a 30% chance, so not that big of a threat but not a small one either.

Team play

Early game

Try to farm as much as you can as Bakasura's early ganks are quite team and passive reliant. As soon as you hit lvl 5, you will be roaming from buff to buff and lane to lane.

Mid game

Right now you have Hastened Fatalis and Warrior Tabi done. Try to be as aggresive as you can but not getting kills in the process. Gank and help lanes often and try to start fights when teammates are around. Also, do NOT forget to get the mid harpies.

Late game

Bakasura's late game is one word: DEVASTATING, but not that effective compared to his mid game(how many words was that). Just try to bully squishies as much as you can and get kills off of them. Regurgitate is your only AOE so try to save that for teamfights as you will be devastating with those minions and that cone attack.

Jungling

The jungler has 3 main roles:

1)Ganking and pushing towers.

2)Getting mid harpies and provide XP for your mid.

3)Help getting buffs and dropping buffs for other lanes.

Clear in the jungle
eat minionsThis is your main clear in the jungle, it's main job is to insta-kill on the jungle creeps and to sustain yourself.

Counter jungling
You must finish the camp before the enemy knows that you are invading their jungle. Bakasura's clear is already good enough, but in order to counter jungle safely and quickly, you'll want Hand of the Gods.

Place these little babies at their Red and Orange buff or in front of the mid harpies. Vision tells you where the enemy is and how much time you have left to finish a camp. You can also tell where an escaped low hp enemy is and easily track him down.

When the match starts:
Order:
Start at the red buff and solo it. While your mid and your solo should be doing the mid harpies. Then go to blue buff and do it with your solo and let him have the buff.

Chaos:
Start at speed buff with your solo and take it. Then continue on to blue and let your solo take it.

Clear:

Bakaksura's clear is really good at any stage of the game, provided that you have Eat minions to insta kill a creep and Insatiable Hunger to increase your basic attack speed so that you can clear even faster.

eat minions This is your main clear, it insta-kills a single jungle creep. This is the only ability in the game that has a potential of dealing infinite damage, and you can use that to your advantage by snacking off the first big minion in a wave so that your laner can easily clear or if you're alone, can defend tower more successfully.

Keep in mind not to use Take Down early to clear camps, it is just a waste of mana. Unless you're about to go back to base.

Here are all the jungle buffs/camps and what they do:
Red Buff - Provides a 20% boost to physical and magical power. It also provides +5 Physical power and +10 Magical Power. It lasts for 2 minutes.
Blue Buff - Provides +7 Mana/Sec and a 15% Cooldown Reduction for the 2 minute duration.
Orange Buff - Provides +20% Movement speed and +10% Attack speed for 2 minutes.
Fury Camps - These camps are dotted around the map and provide experience and gold upon their death. They are weaker then the monsters that hold buffs.
Gold Fury - Gold Fury is a single, powerful Fury found in the middle of the map. Killing her rewards your entire team with 300 Gold.
Fire Giant - Fire Giant is found in the middle of the map in is own magma cave. Killing him rewards your entire team with a buff. The buff gives +100 Magical Power, +70 Physical power and regenerates 3% of your total Hp and MP every 5 seconds. Fire Giant buff lasts for 4 minutes.

Match-ups:

HARD:

-Mercury:
His ganks are better than yours, he scales well more than you in the late game, becareful and watch out for possible Merc attacks and never ever initiate on him unless you're with a teammate.

-Freya:
She has 2 CC's in her kit and she ain't afraid to use it. She can easily burst you down, just a simple Banish then a Pulse and some basic attacks can just get you down on your knees and make your head explode. Watch out for Freya ganks and never be in the same lane against her(unless its the start of the game).

MEDIOCRE:

-Ah Muzen Cab:
Muzen has a slow that also deals a **** ton of damage, a speed and attack speed boost and a strong burst. Nice counter to Baka. A, Honey is quite hard to dodge if you just have jumped into lane, he can just spray some Honey at his feet and he's gone. B, he has a speed boost, which makes it harder for you to catch up to him without wasting Creeping Curse. But overall, he is quite easy to deal with. Just pop Creeping Curse and he's done for.

EASY:

-Aubis:
Anubis is easy to deal with, once he misses Mummify, he is going to be your next meal. Gank his lane as often as possible to ensure total lockdown on him.

-Chaac:
Baka is THE counter to Chaac. He can easily deny him getting his whole HP bar back with Butcher Blades and some basic attacks, and since Thunder Strike is easy to dodge, Baka can dodge better with Insatiable Hunger active.

Summary

That is it for me and Bakasura, thanks again for checking out this guide, I hope you have enjoyed this guide and any feedback is welcome.

Remember, take care everybody.

All the skill orders are the same, It is always best to max Butcher Blades first no matter the situation, sometimes you just wanna put an extra point in Eat Minions for better sustain when you're laning or being bullied by the enemy jungler

well it's a nice guide.

I only don't agree that much with your core. for baka I find the Deathbringer more of a core item then exo.

Also Bloodforge can be a good item when 1v1 against other gods (because of the sustain and the extra power)

and bumba's still is a pretty good starter for him. why? his health sustain isn't that bad because of his 2 but the MP5 oh and the new passive that give his basic attacks +10 true damage (and his ability +10%) on jungle creeps

as you said formatting Could be better (still I'm not good at it). oh and your double brackets are missing the end in the clear part by insatiable hunger
