What a joke that's turned out to be. Turns out, there's maybe only a handful of mature people that have been on this site in the last few months because there are many more that are just absolutely childish and have run this forum nearly into the ground. So many people are quitting/have left, though, some of them have been part of the problem as well. I mean, isn't it sad that the discussions/responses that gain the most attention are the ones that even Reddit users would down vote? And we've had the audacity to talk **** on the Smite sub-Reddit..
Hell, I haven't posted or done anything on this site in weeks because, honestly, I just didn't feel like being here. Can only imagine what potential new users would feel like seeing what gets the most attention around here.
Now, this is not another leaving blog post because I plan on starting to become more active again, and hopefully so will this site. No offense to anyone, but since a lot of fat is being trimmed off in the form of people leaving, while it may be a less active, it'll be nice to not have as many of these immature arguments, though, there are still people here guilty of all this that haven't made leaving threads.
I'm not going to name any names here. You know who you are if you fit these descriptions I've given, even if you try to deny it. Trying to be as least offensive as I can with this, but to all those this applies to, please, for the sake of everyone still here and the future of this site, grow the **** up. To those respectable members still around, hopefully you'll continue to stay here and continue to keep trying to give this site a good name because it's pretty much in the dirt at this point. Going to take a lot of work.
Listen, if you want to be an *** and continue like this then fine, but I'm not going to buy into it anymore.
So, don't talk to me.
Sub, to be fair to the "with us or against us"
didn't you make both a blog and a poll at one point saying people were either pro-sub or anti-sub? :P
either way, do we really need a THIRD place for this argument to continue? Like...we should be at 0 flame wars, and we're reaching 3. That's no bueno.
Otherwise, yeah, let's get some constructive, fun arguments, instead of mouthbreathing, bad styled, yell-fests

Thank god, we agree.
As for words in mouth, I just got that feel.
I would just like to say that I feel like an ******* for that stupid **** I had a part in instigating on All4's blog, but I seriously can't stand for some of the stuff Sub is saying.
Sub, I respectfully disagree with the premise of your argument.
Suuure you do.
Isn't it funny that when anyone, whether in real life or in a movie or book or something, says "with (all due) respect" or "I respectfully," they don't actually mean any respect at all? Maybe I'm too cynical about these things, but angrytoast's track record with not being a douchebag is ****ing terrible, and his track record with saying the word "respect" has an inverse relationship with his actual level of respect for other people.
Everyone knows your capable of arguing. It's just that some of the topics of debate you initiate are too opinionated to actually debate civilly about. For example, as long as dissecting Smite basically pertains to, "Lets analyze trivial (although interesting) topics that do not actually have anything to do with the game and expect everything to be hunky-dory," things will go bad. Then throw people like All4 in who obviously dislike Smite and you've got a full scale war.
You know, I once saw a respectful discussion about abortion on LJ, on a sporking community. Both sides had their say, and in the end, agreed to disagree, and the mod even let them finish even though the topic was technically against the rules.
Nothing should be too "opinionated" to talk about. And you calling it too opinionated is just another ******** excuse. The fact that it reached about ten pages of actual discussion is proof of that, until you helped destroy it.
And I really do despise people who try to shut down topics by calling them irrelevant or trivial. It's a Smite-related problem in a Smite forum. If you don't think it's important enough to talk about, then you should shut your muzzle and walk away instead of trying to shut it down for people are genuinely interested in the topic and wish to discuss it.
In short, the topic isn't the problem. The problem was certain brainless, belligerent brutes who wait for any excuse to attack someone like a mad dog.
And really? An off-topic topic and people who dislike Smite equals a war? You're eager to oversimplify the problem and scapegoat a few people because you're part of the problem, and know it, and want to hide it.
I would also like to say that although you may think I'm just a *****y noob, I really do care about SF and I want to see it grow, but that will never occur if we don't debate legitimate topics.

You're generalizing All4's blog posts and my threads and all the other ******** under one banner, and that's prime prick material.
If you really are angry at the off-topicness of it all, like I mentioned, clearly, some people think it's relevant, and you're an *** for trying to shut it down instead of ignoring it. I don't like some god ideas in the god ideas forum, and I don't go telling people that their ideas suck and they suck, because I don't like seeing them exist. I think that guide making is pointless and that Smite has the depth of rice paper, but I don't go screaming to shut this site down because it's pointless. I just ignore the terrible god ideas and ignore the plethora of ****ty guides, because I'm not a S-grade douchebag.
So what I'm trying to say is that you're an ******* for implying that everything that has happened of late is the Smite-haters' fault. Because we engaged in bad topics and our hate of Smite taints our words.
You're also an ******* because you act like you and some others haven't done a thing. That you're all innocent and guiltless. The big bad haters say things that make no sense and you "and then make anyone look like an *** who disputed him by saying, "Boohoo I have it tough, pity me."
Guess what? You CAN talk about any damn topic you want and have good discussion.
You CAN dislike or hate Smite and give good arguments.
And your attempts to scapegoat and gloss over your own parts of the problem make you an *******. So quit your ******** excuses and justifications, and act like an adult, and admit you were part of the problem, and stop still being a problem by ****ing scapegoating.
So don't sigh and be all "here we go again", because this is a good discussion thats being discussed well.
Here we go again, and again, and again...

Didn't mean to go into a whole shpeel (sp?) but yeah.
It's spiel
speel is different.
Didn't mean to go into a whole shpeel (sp?) but yeah.
On the rest of the argument, I'll digress.
Sub, I respectfully disagree with the premise of your argument.

That's the reason I go off the handle with stuff like this. It just makes me mad when All4 would justify his arguments with random speels that made no sense and then make anyone look like an *** who disputed him by saying, "Boohoo I have it tough, pity me." Mind you people like me who have a tendency to feed into that especially when All4 would insult my friends, doesn't make it any better.
I would also like to say that although you may think I'm just a *****y noob, I really do care about SF and I want to see it grow, but that will never occur if we don't debate legitimate topics.

When did I say criticizing Smite is a problem? It isn't. I've done it plenty, and I still do because there are plenty of glaring issues with it. Any game needs its criticisms or nothing would get addressed. Your criticisms of Smite are usually fairly warranted, and even if I disagree with them sometimes, they're your opinions.
The problem I have is with people moving away from these discussions with personal insults and constant bickering that adds nothing to the conversation. You can't tell me that doesn't happen time and time again.
I don't take sides in any of the bickering. I criticize everyone on this, and if you look back, I've given my opinion as to the arguments, but the problem is that most people don't listen/ignore it all, and continue on with their petty squabbles. In fact, many people have tried to get the bickering to stop, only to, again, have people ignore these and keep on with the bickering.
I don't care who is on what side or any of that. Both sides are at fault if they stoop down enough to engage in it. I'm not singling out you or anyone or any side on this. This is to everyone that is guilty of this. I'm sure I've been guilty of some of this myself at one point or another too.
There are proper ways of debating/discussing issues, and there are ways of dealing with people who step out of line. Adding to a developing **** storm is not a way of properly dealing with it. It just seems to be the way here lately.
TL;DR: Let's all just act a bit more civilized in our discussions, eh?
