So I played this match

And it wasn't until this morning that it occurred to me that I probably could have backdoored one of the turrets with Loki's Decoy and won the game. We were ALL lvl 20 with full builds so it probably would have worked. But at what level can you get away with it? I'm asking if anyone has done this before, I plan to do some tests of course.

The towers in the back of arena are veeeery tanky, you could try it but if the enemy sees you, it will end up an ace, and a 25 ticket disadvantage

Ah, ok then. Actually I remember a Loki tried that at one point and it... didn't end well. Gonna go try it soon anyway. Speaking of trying new things, what about quin's sais on loki? His first shot already cuts squishies in half, I would think he would love that item.

Well sais seems pretty good on loki. Helped me chip through tanky lil Tyr in my last match. Also FIRST SMITE PENTAKILL IN AN ARENA MATCH WITH LOKI XD!!! IT included me almost going into the enemy fountain, but i got it! So i, uh, bought infiltrator loki and am considering the voice pack.

I have 3 pentakills - Loki, Poseidon (Literally one kraken penta'd them), and He Bo. Congrats, it definitely feels great!

As for the Sai's, I don't know.
Qin's Blades does 4% Max Health.
Sai's does 6% Missing Health, +20
For the sake of ease of argument, so that we don't have to factor in the AMOUNT of health, let's just take the 4%/6%
The target has to have 33% of their health left, AKA missing 2/3 of their health, to do EQUIVILENT damage. That means for the first 66%, Blades are better, and only for the last 33%, Sais are better. Adding in the 20 damage is really not going to sway the balance by much, since for most people, 20 damage is in between .2% - .05% of their health.
Since Loki aims to 100-0 people, and picking people off at low health is easy enough as it is, I prefer Qin's Blades.

Loki is such a fun pubstomper. He'll always be my favorite god, because people will always complain about him, and never learn what to do.

He's so easy to beat, but no one does it.

20 damage matters. ".2% - .05%" ==> 10000 - 40000 health?

Please read this

You should use Sais with Loki.

You shouldn't, even based on your math! So the threshhold for Sais to do more half the time with one, not with the other is precisely 2000 health - VERY obtainable by many, MANY gods! And I can assure you, against a Loki, people WILL be building a defensive item, most likely with health, such as a Hide of the Nemean Lion or the sorts.

Second, you're not going to be sitting in the low health range long enough for it to matter, in my opinion, because you need most of your damage from max health. Ideally your engage is Aimed Strike + Vanish combo, and bring them relatively low - when they react and try to escape, you Assassinate + Hydra's Lament and finish them.

That is, your ability to kill squishies is already inherently high. You don't need any more ability to oneshot a mage or carry, it's already easy, whether you have sais or blades. But it's the bruisers and tanks that you CAN'T kill, which blades are so much better at.

Loki does good skill damage at the at the beginning of a fight and his task isn't to kill 100% health bruisers and tanks. He finish damaged opponents - at least until he is fed.
