Where did you even find this thread it's from a solid 7 months ago. Like. Seriously.

And if you think tanks are OP I'm legitimately laughing at you. Tanks can't carry a game, and no matter how fed a tank gets he'll still just be a tank. They're good yes but they're not "beyond broken".

Raventhor, I think Athena is a big exception to that rule. Because seriously, with the right build, she can carry the team.

I speak from experience as a god rank 7 Athena player.

But Athena has pretty little CC for a tank (Taunt and a insignificant slow), and she has a weird kit anyway.

Oh well with the right build sure they can go practically full mage. Ymir pre-patch had reached a 4k damage ult if channeled with the right items. But it's unviable in most situations. Athena *can* go with a polynomicon and full mp, and taunt you into a ridiculous auto attack, but it's not as viable as other paths.

I should rephrase
Tanks who are played conventionally, in their role, so as not to make the tanks into mages, are not overpowered. :)

It'd make my life a lot easier if people didn't comment 'SWEET MOTHER OF NECRO' on a necro'd thread. It just makes it more time consuming to un-necro a thread. Well, I'll just leave this to die normally.

Well, what I meant was Athena bruiser. The damage output of a mage with the mobility of a carry with the tankiness of a bruiser with the CC of a tank.

I think the problem is with Polynomicon and Reach mechanics. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the entire strike is treated as one source of damage, so penetration is only applied once.

If that is true, then that means Athena essentially has 150% magical power scaling on her basic attacks, with the notable downside of being unable to apply maximum damage if you miss with the first attack.
