Ao Kuang only has his tornado. In laning stage, what you need to do is not be near your minions. He will either waste his tornado on you or the minions. He can't do both. If he wastes it on the minions then you can poke him back to his tower easy. If he uses it on you, you can then go kill his minions and leave him to stop your minions. Which he is not efficient at.

Anubis only has his combo. Once his combo is through, he is pretty much a dead mage.

Loki can only kill squishy gods. Warriors and Guardians are the bane of his existence. Also defense built gods.

i remember when i used to be scared of loki lmao. hes actually pretty balanced. anubis is easy to counter and ao? not considered top tier at all for mid.

All good points and I'll continue to play and see how this changes at higher levels. Is the matchmaking level gated? I don't know what it is about today but I've gotten grouped with some of the worst gamers on the planet. This Hun Bahts blamed me for his death when he over-commited. I called him out on it cause F that. I'm not gonna let that mouth breather blame me for his death.

Every match of Conquest that I've played today has had at least one person on my team quit in the first 5-10 minutes and always calling for a vote to surrender before any of our team has had a chance to fill out their builds. It's like these guys have no concept of late-game shining builds.

It's beyond frustrating to me. I look at it and I go, "I've played matches and come back from WAY worst than this." Why are you fools so eager to give up? Does it count against me in some way when my team surrenders? I damn sure hope not. I really hate that the guys that got me into this game don't play as much as I do. lol

These gods can be a real pain at times, but they're definitely not OP.

Most of the time, when I go up against Anubis, no matter who I'm playing, it takes him a lot to actually kill me without any help. He can hurt, but it's really easy to get away from almost all of his attacks.

Ao Kuang is definitely a real pain to deal with when he hits you with his aoe, but like everyone before me has said, if you're paying attention to the Ao, you've got just fast enough of a time to avoid his aoe before it actually tacks onto you.

As for Loki, I agree he can be a real pain in the ***. He can output massive amounts of damage and be able to take a person down before they even have the time to cc them and get away. At the same time, though, there are plenty of gods who are capable of being as big a pain, given the right build. Given that Loki is really squishy, I don't like to label him OP.

Perhaps I should rethink my initial choices for my Apollo build. I like Mercury and Guan Yu but Apollo is definitely my Jam... sometimes. I'm starting to gravitate more towards Mercury because he seems to have more longevity and utility in Conquest. I've been drinking way too much tonight but I wanna play another round. Sorry random team. lol I'm coming in.

If You like Apollo so much, You shouldn't really be facing Ao and Anubis in lane phase. About Loki, everytime You hear his "sound" just ult and he won't catch You. If Loki does not have his ult yet You can try to wait a moment and stun him with Your 2 and then run away with 3. But what's most important, good tank will always save You from Loki during lane phase.

Balanced or not...I dislike how some gods basically insta kill you.

For instance, on a mage, with full health, you turn the corner and there is thanatos. Its early game and we all got only one non-starter item done, and still he can kill you in 2 seconds. Since his first swing is a silence, your dead on first hit basically.

As someone said, feels too much like a first person shooter. I haven't really played other mobas, so I don't know if Smite is an outlier in this. Regardless, it rubs me the wrong way.

Even if you get defense later on, it doesn't do as much as I think it should. Still been insta killed in the 1 second stun duration from a loki while wearing a soveriegn at max level. I've even had it happen from the front (loki, red buff, and aprho buff).

Ne Zha I think is conceptually the best model for an assassin. Able to take a single target out of a fight for a long period of time, and do good damage, but far from the insta-kill speed of a loki, mercury, or thanatos.

They are not OP man. Espeically AO Kaung. I never see pros pick him much, actually they don't pick anubis either and most of them don't take loki either.

You said you are level 16, that is low level to us. Even if you become level 30 to us that is still not enough to know the game in and out.

Most of us played up to level 30 and beyond, we would probably be level 100 by now.

Lets just say that when I was level 30 and lower my views changed ALOT compared to now.

Ao Kuang is just very long range, he is easy to kill if you jump on him.
The only thing ANNOYING not OP is that his tornado clears waves while keeping him safe.
His ULT you can dodge kind of easy. That being said, all he really has is his Tornado's. Other than that he doesn't have much use.

Loki, he has gotten nerfed he used to be even better. Loki alot of people will hate, in fact hes probably the #1 god that you will hate.

Anubis has no escape and anubis DIES THE QUICKEST out of any mage last time I checked.

Anubis probably rapes you because you are level 16.
I'm not saying your bad or anything, I'm just saying its COMMON that in lower leveld games gods that are not OP to higher level games seem op to lower leveld players.

Anubis is one of those gods that if I picked and owned with on lower levels people woulds scream op, but if I was to own with him in high leveld games people would just say good job for being good with anubis.

Anubis rely's on his stun/wrap up to do damage.
He also has no escape.

His ult can only shoot in a strait line and is MEGA THIN.
If anubis doesn't wrap you up then he has no way to kill you.
His wrap up is his only way to run away.

Anubis is easy to avoid damage from as long as you don't get wraped up by him, if you get wrapped up by anubis and he has his ult you will probably be dead.

Thats how the game works, your suppose to have combos that kill you.

Anyways, I suggest if you like this game to buy the god pack for $30 you get every god in the game and all future ones. I usually don't spend money on video games but its worth it for smite.

Keep in mind, the very gods you call OP some of us used to call them OP when we first started playing the game, 5 months later nobody says that anymore.
