As someone who often plays Hel, I cannot stand playing with or against him. His stupid ring blocks off everything I do whether I'm on his team or not, and he's not good for anything else.

I find odin to usually hurt his own team rather than the enemy's. That's why I stand nowhere near an odin. I consider it an enemy player no matter what team he's on.

If you're playing against him, dodge the mini spin to win and you're good to go. If he's bruiser dodge that and kill him. If he's tank he has no CC outside a slow and a positional CC, so ignore him. Easier said than done, I know, but he can't really help his team outside his ult - it's not like he has the taunt, knockups, freezes, etc that good tanks have.

Man, it seems I'm hijacking every thread with my picture, lol. Yeah, it's a picture of me from last summer.


And as Radish said, the only things Odin has going for him are his ultimate and his beard. And since most Odin players just screw their teammates over with the ring....

I occasionally play Odin in arena, but it's not all too often.

I actually have a picture of a match my friend played with Odin. He pretty much used him as a designated ult bomb area and they were pretty coordinated. It ended in them have a 50 to 0 K/d. I'll snoop through my pictures and get it for you guys.

Very rarely I see a player who knows how to use Odin's Ring of Spears properly in casual. But I find him a very good god in a 1v1 joust, hard to counter unless you can push push

I love odin, I use to main him back then. I loved the combos with Hercules, Zeus, and Hades. Also I learned the true power of Ankh on Odin.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
