I don't like to surrender, I've experienced an amazing come back a few times and that's much better than a "normal" win :D. Also when the enemy team is better i would like to play with them as long as possible. How can I get better if not from playing with players better than myself...?

Ffs, I just lost in conquest couse we had a fail loki jungler (0-7) and some who dc'd.
We were 4 towers behind and they had 22 more kills then us, I knew were not gonna win, but still,it was a 3 to 1 votes on surrender so that's that. (12 and a half mins battle).

Well, that's a fact. 85% of the games ends as a surrender. Even if people are only 2k gold under, they usually surrender.

I miss the long-old games, the never surrender thing. But I do have to agree, sometimes surrender is necessary. If 2 people DC, or if someone feeds horribly, but I only accept the surrender if most of the team wants or needs.

I just won the stupidest way in conquest, the enemy team had a perfect start cause there are spikes in the servers and I couldn't dodge Ra's "1", which caused me to feed him, ALOT.
My team wanted to surrender at 12 mins but since I was with Apollo and we both fed Ra, we knew that the moment we'll get our atlist half-a-build, we could turn this thing around. And we did.
From a 17-35 kills, against us, we switched lanes and I got my Demonic grip + fatalis, and that's when the real game began. -double kill-, 2 more kills, their team is scared, were attacking, and they are left with only 1 pheonix, SO THEY SURRENDER. THE ENEMY TEAM SURRENDER'D AT 35-35 KILLS.
This is so amazing! Showing how EVERYTHING is open.

That's a proof of never surrender. Something like that happened to me long ago. I was queueing with 2 other friends, and then I started feeding their Anhur as Thor, because the random Hades was way too agressive( ironically, the Hades partner was in the middle lane, so I was sent to him). I decided to change lanes, and I got some nice K/D later in the game. We won. So yeah, never surrender works SOMETIMES.

Funny that I didn't want to surrender cause I thought that they derserve more then 12 mins win.
We won at the end xD.

The 85% surrender rate sounds about right. Almost every game I've played in in the past 2 weeks (on Conquest) have ended in a surrender. It's ridiculous. The ones that play out until the very end are SO MUCH FUN, because it really tests the player and allows the full experience of the game.

But now that people have basically taught themselves to surrender at the thought of loss... Conquest is becoming a bit boring, because I know that the moment a team starts getting ahead the other is going to want to surrender. Pisses me off.

I have to say I feel you completely, mostly happens when playing as He Bo mid.

I start getting fed, I go on a complete gankfest, and typically right after I get a kill, they instantly surrender.

I mean, Smite is not for the undetermined. Games are long, and you can't afford to quit just because you have been killed once (Even though I see it happen all the time).

I am not saying I never surrender. But when I do, I feel I have good reason. It isn't, "OMG OP NUB KEELED ME SURRENDER".

More rewards for the winning team in a surrender would be nice. In regards to another issue, make the deserter penalty more serious. The only problem is, sometimes I get caught in a match at a bad time, it goes longer than expected, etc.

I think that's one of the core problems embedded with smite, if you don't have at least 45 minutes (25 arena), you can't really play a match.
Thanks to Ferrum for making the sig pic! He's beast af people.

Funny, that used to be true, but then people started surrendering, right?
So before you even begin to play you need to think real hard if you're sure you're gonna own this with your friends, or own it with others, or maybe it'll be a long game cause your team is kinda weak and you can make up for it? Hehe, all I'm saying is... Unless you're playing with your friends and you know that they wont report you for afking it is really all about luck.
