I think it needs some kind of middle ground. Maybe make it over 2 or 3 attacks so it's still very solid damage in a short span but not a oneshot on He Bo or AK or Scylla.

I don't know, grasping at straws here =/

I think your thinking of Poly the wrong way. To me it seems to be just a way to make use of your auto attacks as a caster, not necessarily just for auto attack based mages. For all you know is they Intended for this to be used on Hebo / Ao etc.

Honestly, auto attack mages just need more variety. I'd suggest adding an item that applies a DoT effect, that does % health dmg, and stacks for consecutive attacks. Of course it would have a cap. Something to think about. (Perhaps a change for telek ring?)

Also, if you checked out my second post. I had thought of an alternate method.
"Unless, let's say Poly is only based upon MP directly from items, then buff the %. That kind of works around any high base MP and passives."

Honestly. Sounds pretty logical to me.

Discouraging them from autoattacking, maybe? Sharply reduce their base attack speed to heavily punish a miss. Or...OR...reducing their basic attack range to the point where spells are a superior option.

I think the two-second model works pretty well.

Chronos will have a field day with his short CD Time Rift.

Nu Wa doesn't have low CD skills, but she does have a lot of skills which can be burned to proc Poly.

Freya, IMO, never really needed Poly. She's fine without it; and could never really use it too well. I go for Bancroft's most of the time. But if she does use it, she does have two buffs to trigger it with.

Why not give it a maximum damage cap?

That would be a rather awkward change; not to mention there's the problem of what exactly the cap should be.

Like...seriously, how high should the cap be?

Removing swing chains would break a lot og gods. At least when the sole reason for it is to reduce the effectiveness of qin's.

What if you just made qin's passive to only apply once every 1 second?
