http://www.reddit.com/r/Smite/comments/27v4u7/idea_for_slaughterhouse_chaac_posted_3_months_ago/

This thread has made the front page on reddit, if people see it without many thought they will think that we smitefire people just like to ignore someone's idea. Any way to clear it up?

No clue on what to do, but this may be very damaging. Also the idea wasn't technically ignored it was more or less rejected. I'm not too fond of the skin myself.

People are seriously up in arms about this? People didn't like the skin he proposed, big deal. Frankly I don't think it'll hit too hard though, they'll probably just get distracted by whatever hits front page next and forget all about it.

Im going to just put this idea in right here. Why the hell do we care what reddit thinks? I mean what benefit would we objectively get from caring.

Some reddit users hate this site for reasons like this "i made a guide! It was my first guide! And this editor/veteran/user with a 1000 posts critizised it and down voted because they said it was bad and laking because i only gave a build, lore and pros and cons! I put rainbow coloring in so they cuz they want coding but they still said it was bad!"

Others because they got called out on bad idea's they posted here and got critized or just straight up got offensive to us. Some people who hate is got called out on plagairism and then you have the some special cases similar to arka.

And some got it through word of mouth...or message.

Eitherway why would we give a dingus his *** about people like that? We can not change things like that.

What All4 said. Some dumb ****-for-brains might raise a fuss. Who cares? It's not like they'll make a post called "Let's ban Smitefire from All Smite-Related Events Because They Suck!"

Eh, can't really do much about it. It's pretty common knowledge that plenty of people haven't shown the most positive opinion about SmiteFire on Reddit, and it'll take far more than it's worth convincing people otherwise. I mean, if these people saw that thread and the responses from 3 people worth casting negativity over SmiteFire, they're obviously not the most intelligent bunch to begin with.

I highly doubt something like that is going to ruin SmiteFire. I've seen Reddit posts do worse, and yet we're still here, and we still gain new users who become active members of the community. Granted, it would be nice to see a lot more traffic with more users on here, but at least it's something. The post might gain attention, but it'll be short lived and everyone will move on.

Like I've said in the past, and like All4Games has already stated, I don't see much of a point in caring what some users on Reddit think about SmiteFire.

This all the way!

Mobafire has survived far more hate then this from Reddit in the past. And it's still going strong, also most of the people that shot down the poor guys idea had very low post counts, not that matters. So anyone reading that Reddit post should notice that the idea came and left very quickly and one post ideas are a common thing on any big gaming site.

Even I am guilty of shooting down good/viable ideas before over on Mobafire. I remember once telling a guy his gold farm ashe guide was an really bad idea, well then it became a thing I had to eat my words.

over all there are always going to be people who hate anything to do with Mobafire and it's extension sites. So it's up to us to use good judgement and common sense.

Additionally, this would never ruin smitefire, the people on the thread weren't rude to him. The guy just worded it rather...not immaturely, but...I can't think of the right word but it wasn't exactly a professionally worded thing, haha. People were more confused by howt he guy worded it than the concept. No one insulted or made fun of the guy. I think the reddit thread was more about how true the guy was than what was said about him.

Also, yeah, reddit never liked us, who cares?
