Hello, dear Smiters. I'm Dark Jaw, and today is a sad day. I'd like to discuss about ''What kind of level is a certain player able to play?''. Wait, I think you didn't understand what I mean. Let's suppose a duo of Level 20~30 Players are playing together. They're sent to play with another duo + a solo, or with a trio. So what if the other duo is a Level 30 and a Level 3? Is that possible to happen?

And I say, yes, it is. I just had a terrible match with a Level 30 that partied up with a Level 3. If I'm correct, Level 30s can't play with Level 3s; at least I couldn't play with my Level 4 Friend when I was Level 13.

HiRez REALLY needs to fix that. It's so unfair. Make at least possible to play with a Level 10 Difference( 1~10, 10~20, 20~30).

ah our next stop the matchmaking:
Everybody please take a seat in the moba museum and enjoy one of the worst things that mobas have to offer! The matchmaking of course! It is generally unfair and people get matched with other people who are way better or way worse than them, parties don't work and of course it is unfair. This is a very important fact to take in consideration when picking a moba that you wanna commit to, because it is going to affect what you can, can't, will or won't do. Everybody thinks that the company cares for it. they do not...

Our next stop is the community and unbalance!

I have had a lot of simular matches (though the level 3 is sometimes smarter and better than some of the level 20-30 I sometimes get matched up with) it's annoying, unfair and just bad match making on Hirez his part.

never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

Matchmaking has been bad for a really long time, and HiRez has done very little to address this issue.

There is no reason for newer players to be getting stuck on teams with players who've played 500+ games.
There is no reason a premade group of 4 or 5 should ever be matched up against a group of 5 solos.
There is no reason players with a really low W/L ratio or very negative K/D/A should be getting teamed up with those who have much better records.

Yet I've seen all of these things happen, much more often than they should. It was always one of the most complained about things in the official forum before other issues cropped up. At this point it's really just salt in the wound on top of the current mess we're in.

EDIT: Just looked up the Match ID you linked and damn, you really drew a short straw there when they paired you up with that LV3 Zeus player, who was clearly responsibile for your loss. This is the kind of thing that really shouldn't be happening, but it does, and it does not help that he was part of a premade duo that ropes him into those matches.

Waiting on a good new MOBA, please.

i have only seen this a few times luckly but i have found whenever im paired with a low level is when they're in a team of 2 and the others a 30

Pretty much. I didn't know he was Level 3, until I see Zeus with a 0-4 K/D ratio at the 5 Minute mark I think. Then I asked what Level he was, and Odin told me he was Level 3. Not saying I had to mid lane... wanted to lane with my friend Ares, but Apollo instalocked and said he doesn't know how to Mid Apollo.

Didn't play SMITE for today since then, needed to chill. Hope HiRez fix that...

When someone who is in a party they are going to be matched up with the "hidden elo" or "casual elo" (whatever you want to call it) that the party leader has. That is why you always should let your lvl 3 friend be the party leader if you are going to play with a friend (that has at least worked for me before, but that was months ago).

And when it comes to like a lvl 20 going up against lvl 30, that is usually because he is awesome with like one god (and therefore he got high elo). And when he plays something new he sucks, because he isn't really good at the game. Just good with a specific god.

Had it happen today where my team had a lowbie Loki and Ne Zha with me and two other players in their teens. The other team had two players in their teens and an Isis who was high twenties, and two players in high single digits. The enemies that were in single digits both DC'ed from the game. But the Isis fed off our lowbies till she out leveled everyone by a good margin. Then she led the other two members in a slaughter of our team constantly.

The game was a pain cause even with two of their guys dc'ed we still were getting owned by the more experienced Isis.

I still don't see how this is necroing. The forums move incredibly slowly here - 22 days ago this thread would either still have been on the front page, or the very top of the second one.

And in those 22 days, matchmaking still problems still haven't been touched. I don't see the point in creating a new thread when one already exists with the same topic and is not outdated.
