This is true! Actually Warlock's Sash & Ethereal Staff are 2 of my favorite items to build on Ao Kuang with Book of Thoth I often hit the magic power cap and become a late game monster =)

with Ao Kuang, once i buy warlock's sash, never feel the need to get added physical protection. Also, Ethereal Staff is best suited for gods who have higher base health like Ymir, Bacchus and Sobek, so as to benefit from its passive.

Items with heavy health AND power? Not really, but there's really not meant to be. You should be focusing, in order, on A)CDR, tanks need CD's to peel, B)Protections, straightforward, C) Health, straightforward, D) Aura/Status Effects, to help team (gem of iso, void stone, sovereignty), and finally E) On power. Ethereal Staff is enough to suit the needs, MAYBE a void stone. Don't need a lot of health power items on a tank, and mages have options for health and power through Sash, gem of Iso, Staff, etc.

Also, my favorite Ao Kuang build (pre-removal) was Magi Shoes, Doom Orb, Book of Thoth, Warlock's Sash, Gauntlet of Thebes, and Rod of Tahuti.

Yes, I know how stupid it is. But I had so much health and magic power, that it didn't matter how long my CD's were, how little penetration I had, etc. You try to kill an Ao Kuang with a few thousand health, a 50% slow, and a speed boost.

RIP Thebes.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods.
