DOTA 2 is a lot better than LoL. Also better community. But I just can't help but love Smite.

Let's not start that war here.

Anyway i agree with icen. I am level 11 in lol and i play with my level 30 frieds (they talked me into it) and well i can handle my self against those guys. I stomp the guys in my bracket and i can get a reletivly good kd against level 30 players eventhough they always have the advantage because they have good runes, better masteries and knolage over all champs (and that god damm flash) and i still can out play them with relitive ease.

The skill shots feel like kindergarten. I need a very bad day to not hit all my tresh hooks.

A lot of champs have skills that are very easy with high reward. Teemo for example. He is my favorite champ (lets build the mushroom kingdom) but his 1 is press 2 buttons receive cc+high damage nuke.

As for communety. No it does not become better. My team gets more death wish then le random youtube troll. With level 11's its often people trying the game for fun and they are very cheerfull.
never forget dawngate and never forgive EA. Freia will hunt them for eternity.

KK.

But overall I'm very underwhelmed by LoL. Most other MOBA's I've played, I've enjoyed more. Kinda glad that ICEN is done with it. That means more Smite rage posts by him.

I would give it another try, it's not a bad MOBA. And yes the community can be an ***, but in my case, it doesn't happen too often. So I would give it another shot.

You guys get what I am saying though right?

When you have a click skill in league of legends its 100% GOING TO HIT.

That is my major point of why league of legends has some skill to it but then again depending on who you pick its almost as if you can have no skill and still beat someone as long as they come into your range.

Imagine a 30 foot circle around your god on smite, now imagine that you click on someone in smite, basically once they get in your 30 foot circle they 100% ARE GOING to get hit by the skill because ITS NOT YOU DOING THE SKILL SHOT its the GAME DOING IT FOR YOU.

Thats why I think some of the game feels nubish and annoying because half the skills are just clicking on things with 100% hit rate.

I mean on smite even if you have something like FIST OF THE GODS its not cheap like League of legends, on smite when you use first of the gods ITS YOU WHO has to activate FIST OF THE GODS when you are close enough.

But on League of legends if FIST OF THE GODS existed instead you would just click on a player and it would 100% hit them with it as soon as you get near them.

Basically I don't understand how that takes any skill when the game is the one doing the work for you.

THe basic attacks don't really take much skill either, for example when I played aatrox all I do is click on someone and aatrox automaticlly hits them everytime they are in range.

On smite EVEN WHEN YOU ARE IN RANGE you still have to aim your basic attacks and can miss, in lol its 100% going to hit you because THE GAME is doing the commands with 100% accuracy.

Yes there are skill shots in Lol but compared to smite half the things in lol are just clicks with 100% hit rate once they get in range.

So in the end this is why the game is ******ed in a way and you have to admit it sucks.

If your a champion that has click skills

then basically ANYTIME you get within their range you 100% get hit and can NEVER NOT get hit by those type of skills.

It was feeling unrewarding to me after a while. Just like Ignite, you can click on someone 40 feet away and once they get in range they 100% always get ignited.

I think its not lol that I needed a break from, it was I needed a break from smite to like smite again and see how much funner it is.

Why do I think smite is funner?

Because smite is all DO IT YOURSELF
and because LOL is all THE GAME DOES IT FOR YOU.

LOL the only thing that took skill FOR ME and WAS HARD is just having to click on 2 million things without getting confused.

Both lol and Smite require skill, just in different areas. With Smite you have to make sure you focus on aiming, and what's happening right then and there, and you need to be more worried about ganks. But in LoL you have to worry about what's happening, and micromanagement. So with Smite its requires a lot of concentration and awareness. Because you can't see behind you, nor can you just click on someone. But with LoL you really need to focus on mechanics and knowing how to use the champs effectively. Especially because in Lol you have bushs in LoL. So each game requires skill, but different kinds if skill.

Oh my god, your points about the skill level in LoL are so invalid that I don't feel like explaining why it's all wrong because I would be stating the blatantly obvious.

There is so little micromanaging and complicated mechanics in Smite. You can't stutter step, you can't cancel line of site with fog of war and brushes, you don't last hit. In LoL, if you want to be a good player, you need to know how to do these things. Smite has none of this, so when I watch competitive Smite, I never admire the skills of the players because there is nothing that can be admired. I mean, they land hard skill shots, such as Poseidon's 1 ability, but that's all that can be really considered 'good' mechanics. In LoL, if you at Faker's Zed plays or frommaplestreet kiting with Draven, you are wow'd at how well they do it. Granted, that is if are aware at how hard it is to make some of those plays.

Yes, all basic attacks are clicked in LoL, but if you do go in to click, that will put you in danger. And if the carry gets caught out, consider that teamfight lost. And you said that a MINORITY of abilities are skillshots. A minority? Would you consider about 70%+ of damaging abilities a minority? If anything, Smite's abilities are easier to land, and they deal a ****load of AoE damage to boot. The only abilities that deal as much damage as some of the easiest to land abilities in Smite are either hard to land (Lucian's ultimate) , forces you to be in a close range that will put you in grave danger (Veigar) or single target (Zed).

Of course, since you are only level 17, everything you say about game mechanics must be taken with a grain of salt, as you clearly aren't aware of the deeper mechanics in LoL, and simply analysing the most basic mechanics taught in LoL.

HiFromBuddha, can we be bffles? You pretty much said everything I tried to say in the perfect way.
Also, Faker and frommaplestreet will never be as good as BestRivenNA for me ;D
or some of the plays from fabbby. Dude won't ever be in a competitive team as good as some of the ones out there, but the guy can make some ridiculous plays.

As far as what HiFromBuddha has said, he's right about your level. You're playing with such inexperience people. Have you seen baron smite steals? Level 1 invades? Pink ward battles, or counterjungling through wards? How about Lane Freezes, instead of just last hitting, or level 3 coordinated tower dives. Lane swaps with the ADC lanes, or teleport-ward ganks. Lane ganks by running through bush instead of down river lane, or baron baits? Some of these things are so integral to league, that you will never see at such a low elo rating/level, simply because they're complicated, but make League so much more skill-reliant than Smite. Sure, Smite is technially all skillshot; but that doesn't make it harder, as many people attest. You simply land your skillshots, and try to have strategy as far as when to engage or rotate - but there are so many things missing, such as ward battles, ward teleports, brushes (which are INTEGRAL in ganks), etc, that just make or break a game.

As HFB said, it's kind of hard to tell when someone is really good at the game, because they simply do their job. Sure you can see a 1v3 sometimes, or some jukes, but jukes rely on someone else being bad. LoL has legitimate occurrences where you can see someone who is just godlike.

Anyway, this is off-topic. My TL;DR version is HFB is my hero, and you quit too early to really legitimately make a stance on the game. =/

+Rep for Buddha. Say what you will about the community, what I stated was only my experience. But they do get better about commanding you to do stupid things because they KNOW ITS A STUPID THING. Because they have learned to play the game.
Hows this then: Smite is more skill based, Lol is more mentally based. Fair?
PENTAS: Loki

I love how +73 rep is only prominent, by the way.
Like, you've been extensively seen to be an awesomely-thought-out person, but nah, you're sort of Prominent
In another 100 or so you can finally be important.

And then there's me...notable hahaha
