So, basically your argument is that Smite requires aiming for everything, and therefore takes more skill? By the same logic, you would be saying that CoD requires more skill than, say, SC2 because you actually have to aim everything. Can you not see how your logic fails here?

Yes because smite is a 1st person call of duty game where you get noob tubes and kill steaks....
might as well bring up gears of war too since smite can also wall bounce and curb stomp.

Ummm don't even start with the LOCKED VS UNLOCKED CAMERA

Its 10000000% clear that if you play locked AT ALL meaning even if you play unlocked and go to locked on occasions PURPLE SIDE completely ****s you over with camera angles.

Have you ever tried playing locked on bot lane when your on the purple side???
Its impossible...

wait you mean to tell me League of Legends which makes millions of dollars can't even make a switched camera angle for when you go to locked? It must be so very hard to do that...

Also UNLOCKED has Disadvantages that Locked doesn't suffer.
I tried going back and forth and honestly to me LOCKED ON BLUE SIDE is 100% fine but I have to play unlocked and locked on purple side because just playing locked is ****ty as hell and is literally 1000000000000000000% UNFAIR for those who play locked.

Locked is 100% QUICKER than unlocked in situations in team fights depending on who you are.
If you play locked all you have to do is click on people WHICH MAKES YOU QUICKER than if you play unlocked you have to go through the annoyance of moving your cam and at the same time clicking on people.

Its common sense 1 action is ALWAYS faster than 2 actions.
There for locked is quicker when it comes to fighting assuming your not on the ******ed purple side with a long skill shot champion.

UNLOCKED also DECREASES VISION.
I get annoyed at people claiming it gives you 100% more vision because it doesn't.

It give yous like 50% EXTRA VISION ... but ONLY in the direction that you placed your unlock cam at. Meanwhile the opposite direction which for the most part is behind TOTALLY LOSES VISION.

I have played unlocked and have died because people came up behind me out the jungle while I had my unlocked cam ahead for more vision.

Locked = Nobody can come up from behind you because YOU WILL ALWAYS SEE IT unlike unlocked.
If you play unlocked then you have to see them based on your map and by time you lock back on yourself you will already be taking damage.

I'm pretty certain that when I was playing with aatrox that MOST the people I killed was playing unlocked so therefor my locked cam was beating them... so it defys what people say about locked vs unlocked since the game starts you off unlocked and thats how most people play.

On the blue side locked has no problems and I get tons of vision ahead of me because the cam is just facing a good direction. I can engage much quicker than the unlocked person because I can CLICK FASTER while they have to not only click but move their cam around to move.

Its simple

Locked = Equal vision in all directions with maybe slight extra vision to the topish right when playing on blue side

Unlocked = MORE VISION only in the direction of your unlocked cam but LOSES VISION on the other end.

Maybe I'm insane but I'd rather have near equal vision of all around me then have both more vision and lose vision in certain areas.

Maybe thats why when I was aatrox nobody ever sees me gank behind them because they dummies are playing unlocked and have their cam put in front of them like always and can't see me gank. THEY HAVE A MINI MAP???

Thats good by time they see me gank on the map they will already be dead.

I'm not saying one is better than the other but people act like unlocked has no drawbacks.

League of Legends seriously needs a CAMERA SWAP option for purple side.

Its unfair and makes you lose 30% more games when you play that side.
I have even noticed my team loses A **** TON more games when played on that side.

People talk about locked is so hard to play omg!!!
Not really when I'm on blue side I have 0% trouble killing anyone but once I get on purple side GG I'm done.

That was a ridiculously long post that could be said in three words: "Locked camera sucks"
which isn't necessarily the case. I, by the way, main support and carry, and I play locked camera. And I don't play some silly defensive support like soraka, who doesn't need to aim anything, or just buffs her allies. I play Thresh, where a hook skillshot is his main priority. My ADC's comprise of Vayne, Caitlyn, Ezreal, and Ashe, as well. So it's by no means impossible.

You're basically complaining about a camera angle in an eagle's eye view game, which has nothing to do with the game but simply that it isn't 3rd person. That has nothing to do with the quality of the game at all. Look at DotA, Command and Conquer, Halo Wars, anything. Eagle's Eye View doesn't ruin a game - if you hate it, deal with unlocked camera.

BTW, Unlocked DOES give 100% more vision. If it doesn't, you're placing it wrong, and that's a PEBCAK error. Most of your arguments are based in opinion instead of fact; unlocked is used by legitimately every LCS-ranked pro, outside of Voyboy, some of the time.

What I find most interesting, however, is that you argued that LoL's mechanic gameplay as far as locked camera goes is bad, but then you said how neither locked nor unlocked is better than the other, which in effect creates a balance that negates any negative argument.

I'm still a tad confused why you posted a ridiculously long argument against something that wasn't brought up in any way...like, no one even mentioned locked or unlocked cameras, so I'm confused where this cascade of words came from.

Well I mentioned it in my post, and even though it seems tough at first (because it is) when you get used to unlocked camera you wonder how locked ever made sense. Its just another skill you need to master. Altering between locked and unlocked camera is not that big a deal since all you need to do is move your mouse. Quite frankly its really the BIGGEST issue with SMITE that i have is that the camera is permanently locked (whatever else i have said or will say is because i was mad at something, this is the only real issue). And as for losing vision in the direction you are not moving your camera, you have a minimap, with giant honking avatars outlined in bright red circles. USE IT, and move your minimap to where its more relevant. Its not like Smite where you can seem an enemy past your vision radius, you can see it or not.

And I have noticed his posts always seem to contain a minimum of 80 words. Mostly repetition, which is the only thing that really bothers me about it, but BFD, saves me the trouble from having to read the whole post ver batim.

Ummm you do realize that if someone comes from behind you while you have your cam locked you can react 3x faster than unlocked assuming your cam is most likely in front of you like most people put it.

If you have your cam unlocked you are saying to 1st look at the map, well thats nice and dandy but by time you see a big head icon coming from behind you you will already get hit with a nasus slow up your *** from 20 feet away then ignited all before you even get your cam back or realized what just happened.

The only way to really see them coming is if you ward further behind you, but who the hell is going to do that early game when you have no gold and then you waste a ward in back instead of the side of the map near river.

I may be wrong on other things but I know 100% that locked reaction is ALWAYS faster than unlocked if someone is behind you.

1 step is easier than 2 simple as that.

Oh and Cam locked is basically how all video games are made....
From mario to halo, to smite to anything else....
The cam is suppose to follow you to make it simpler to play..
imagine how hard mario snes would be if you had to use unlocked cam and keep up with marios ***!!!

I mean even in real life your cam is locked :D

Playing unlocked literally feels like I'm playing a damn board game and its very awkward as the cam doesn't follow you and instead just stares at where ever you put the cam...

it doesn't seem like a true video game any more when the cam is like that.

But seriously PURPLE SIDE is unfair and you all know it.

Me, as I played RTS game since 10 years ago (yes, from 4 years old), i am really used to the 3rd person view. I could see everything from any angle and get used to it. If you played more of RTS, you will be really really normal to this kind of thing

(let's say, Age of Mythology, Age of Empire, Rise of Nation, Star Wars something, Lord of the rings, etc)

ICEN, purple side won 54% of the games this past worlds, and I think it had around 61% in the spring LCS for NA. People actually prefer purple, especially since it means a faster blue clear for their jungler with the mid/adc/support/jungler, compared to top/mid/jungler. It also means mid gets back to lane faster.

Anyway, again, if you don't think unlocked is natural, play it on locked. ;P
